Motivasi: Jurnal Manajemen dan Bisnis is journal that publishes scientific articles in the fields of management and business sciences covering the fields of financial management, human resource management, marketing management, operational management and management information systems that are managed and published by the Management Study Program of the Faculty of Economics and Business of Muhammadiyah University of Palembang. Articles published in the Motivasi: Jurnal Manajemen dan Bisnis include original scientific research results and new scientific review articles from various academics and researchers that have not been published elsewhere. The publishing period is twice a year, namely in June and November.

Abstract

Purpose - The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of the Competence and Working Environment influence on employee performance. Design/methodology - Respondents in this study were allemployees of  PT . Presol Indo Prima  Palembang branch of which there are 39 employees. Samples were taken using census where the entire population isused as a sample in research and data collection tools used questionnaire analysis method used is multiple linear regression with SPSS 17.0. Findings – The author finds that the results of testing with T test and F test that accepted meaning Competence and Working environment influence significant effect on employee performance

Abstract

Purpose - The purpose of this research was to analyze the Influence between economic growth in MusiRawas with the Investment, Government Expenditure and Employment Musi Rawas. Design/methodology - The data used in this research is secondary data in the form of time series data from 1994 till 2013. The analytical tool used to determine the effect of independent variables with dependent variable is by using multiple regression analysis.Findings – The author finds that the independent variables were used as models in this study could explain the dependent variable and the remaining 59,07% is  explained by other variables that are not included in this study. Based on the results of F-test that overall the independent variable (Investment, Government Expenditure and Employment) provides a significant influence on the dependent variable (Growth). While partially based regression test revealed that only Labour that do not significantly affect economic growth, while investment and government spending affect the economic growth

Abstract

Purpose – The study aims to determine how the influence of financial capacity of region on economic growth in Southern Sumatran Region in period 2005 to 2014.Design/methodology - The analysis was performed by multiple regression analysis models by a Pooled Least Square method and the fixed effect estimation models. The data used is panel data of five provinces in Southern Sumatra.Findings – The analysis showed that the financial capacity in Southern Sumatra region is significantly affecting the economic growth.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to examine the causality relationship between the motivation of tourists, the quality of service and the perception of value to the satisfaction of tourists. The population in this study are tourists who have visited in 4 attractions in the city of Palembang namely: Jaka Baring Sport City, Kemaro Island, Kuto Besak Fort and Kambang Iwak Park. The method of analysis used in this study is path analysis, To meet the minimum requirements of path analysis tool, the sample of the research is 180 respondents. The type of sampling used is purposive sampling. The results showed that there was no significant influence on the motivation of tourists to satisfy tourists. There is a significant influence on the quality of service to the satisfaction of tourists. There is a significant influence on the perception of value to the satisfaction of tourists.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Purpose - This study aims to determine the financial and operational characteristics of both companies, analyzing the capital structure policy and analyze whether differences in performance caused by the company's capital structure policy, and to analyze the presence or absence of financial leverage on PT Mayora Indah which use high levels of debt. Design/methodology - he research methodology used in this research is quantitative research with explanatory type. The data type used secondary data in the form of financial statements, inflation rate, BI rate and exchange rate. The data analysis used financial statements and financial ratios.Findings – PT Unilever Indonesia has a policy of capital structure with 100% equity, while PT Mayora Indah has capital structure in the form of high proportion of debt levels. Theoretically characteristics of a company has a role in influencing the capital structure and the capital structure of a company is one of the factors that affect the company's performance. The analysis results indicate that the company's financial performance is not resulted from the capital structure policy. It is seen from the ratio chart of OPM and NPM having similar direction of high debt movement and the use of high debts at PT Mayora Indah does not generate financial leverage

Abstract

ABSTRACT Purpose - This study aims to determine the effect of Service Quality on Purchasing Decisions of Honda Vario 150 Motorcycles at PT. Gratia Plena Mas Lahat Branch, the effect of Pricing on the Purchase Decision of Honda Vario 150 Motorcycles at PT. Gratia Plena Mas Lahat Branch, and Service Quality and Pricing on the Purchase Decision  of Honda Vario 150 Motorcycle at PT. Gratia Plena Mas Lahat Branch.Design/methodology - The sample in this study amounted to 50 respondents who were distributed to consumers specifically motorcycle products with the brand "Honda Vario 150" in Pasar Bawah Village. Data analysis method used is quantitative analysis using validity, reliability, normality, multiple linear regression analysis and average difference test. Findings - Service Quality Results have a positive and significant effect on the decision to purchase a Honda Vario 150 motorcycle at PT. Gratia Plena Mas Lahat Branch. This can be seen from the value of t count> t table (11,227> 2,012). Pricing has a positive and significant influence on the decision to purchase a Honda Vario 150 motorcycle at PT. Gratia Plena Mas Lahat Branch. This can be seen from the value of t count> t table (4,500> 2,012). And Service Quality and Pricing simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on the decision to purchase a Honda Vario 150 at PT. Gratia Plena Mas Lahat Branch. This can be seen from the calculated F value> F table (82.427> 2.25) and the significance value <significance level (?) 0.05 (0.000 <0.05).
