Abstract

Blood plasma is used as a biological sample in determining the levels of drug compounds because the concentration of the drug will bind to its receptors and determine the size of the pharmacological effect of a drug. The purpose of this study was to determine the accuracy of human blood plasma as a sample in several validation methods with different analytes. The research method used is by conducting a literature study in several credible journals with the criteria of the journals of the last 10 years regarding the determination of levels of drug compounds in human blood. The results obtained from five different analytes, namely glibenclamide combination with metformin, formalin, vancomycin, lisinopril and a-mangostin which have been validated using various validation methods, namely SPE-MIP followed by HPLC, UV-VIS spectrophotometer, HPLC-UV, UPLC and TLC densitometry using human blood plasma samples, all meet the validation requirements. So it can be concluded that, human blood plasma used as a sample in the validation test with various different methods and analytes that have been carried out is entirely accurate because all validation test methods meet the requirements

Abstract

The role of the family, especially the mother in raising children, is very important in determining the growth and development of children. In order for parents to be able to carry out their functions properly, parents need to understand the level of child development, assess the growth or development of children, and have a strong motivation to advance the growth and development of children. The results of the study on parenting education show that the skills of parents in carrying out the parenting function are still low Syakrani, 2010 the causes include the absence of parenting programs, low understanding and awareness of parents about the importance and influence of motherhood on children's growth and development, and lack of information about the importance of parenting. child care. Shochib, 2010 explains that the knowledge and attitudes of parents in providing parenting to their children are influenced by the lack of information about ways to achieve a healthy life which can lead to deviations in parenting patterns for children. This study aims to determine the effect of parenting education on mothers of infants under five on the knowledge and attitudes of mothers of infants under five about growth and development. The research method used in this study is a quasi-experimental one-group pretest-post test design. The population of this research is mothers of infants under five in the Cikalang Village, Tasikmalaya City. The subjects of this study were mothers of infants under the age of five in the Cikalang sub-district who were selected using the purposive sampling method. The sample selected as the respondent is determined based on the criteria. Total 70 0 people. univariate analysis to determine the frequency distribution. The results of the data normality test showed that the data distribution was not normal, so the bivariate test used the Wilcoxon test. The results of the study obtained knowledge of mothers of infants under five about growth and development of infants under five before parenting education, the highest level of mother knowledge was in the less category (67.1%), while after attending parenting education the mother's level of knowledge was in the medium category (60%) and the good category (40%). Prior to parenting education, the mother's attitude was mostly in the bad category (64.3%), while after attending parenting education the mother's attitude was mostly in the good category (87.1%). The results of the different test were known as the Asymp.Sig value. (2-tailed) of 0.000 <0.05, which means that H0 is rejected. It can be concluded that there is an influence of parenting education on the knowledge and attitudes of mothers of infants under five about the growth and development of infants under five.

Abstract

Psoriasis vulgaris is a chronic systemic autoimmune disease that affects skin, joint, nail and other organ with clinical manifestation well-defined erythematous plaques with thick silvery scales. Psoriasis vulgaris is associated with dyslipidemia include elevated level of total cholesterol, LDL and triglyceride serum and decreased HDL serum levels. Psoriasis Area and Severity Index (PASI) is an examination to assess the severity of psoriasis vulgaris and mostly used in clinical practice and research. Purpose: To determine differences in disease severity based on PASI scores on lipid profiles in psoriasis vulgaris patients. Methods: This research is an observational analytic study with cross sectional research design conducted at Dr. Moewardi General Hospital Surakarta from February to March 2022. The total number of subjects was 25 patients with psoriasis vulgaris. All data were analyzed using SPSS version 21 application (IBM Corp. Chicago, USA). Bivariate analysis with parametric independent T test and Mann-Whitney test were used to determine the differences of total cholesterol, LDL, triglyceride and HDL serum level between PASI <10 and PASI ≥10 with p<0,05 considered significant. Results: Patients with PASI <10 had mean value of total cholesterol levels 187,53±26,39, LDL levels 128,24±28,37, triglyceride levels 115,88±61,74 and HDL levels 46,29±11,98 while in patients with PASI ≥10 had value of total cholesterol levels 218,75±34,92 (p=0,020), LDL levels 145,63±35,76 (p=0,201), triglyceride levels 201,88±158,04 (p=0,215) and HDL levels 44,13±11,36 (p=0,672). There is a significant difference between the severity of the disease based on the PASI score on total serum cholesterol levels in psoriasis vulgaris patients. Conclusion: There was a significant difference between PASI score <10 and PASI score ≥10 on total serum cholesterol levels in patients with psoriasis vulgaris.

Abstract

Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs) or Venereal Diseases (VD) are diseases that are transmitted through sexual intercourse, either vaginal, anal, or oral. HPV infection has a large number of about one million cases every day. One study conducted by WHO stated that 31% of women in Indonesia were exposed to infection from this virus. The HPV that can cause Condyloma Acuminata are HPV-6 and HPV-11. Although pharmacological and preventive therapies such as vaccines have been carried out, the number of sufferers is still increasing and becomes a burden for the country because in general this disease attacks the productive age population, so it is time to take a more sophisticated approach to the curative treatment of this disease. Looking for the latest curative methods that can stop condyloma acuminate permanently in each individual. The research method used is by conducting a literature study through several journal databases such as Pubmed, Cinahl, Google Scholar, and others. Based on several studies, it was found that CRISPR/Cas9 proved to be effective in suppressing the expression of the E7 protein and its sequence, proliferation and at the same time inducing apoptosis through the caspase-3 pathway in the conservative genome-specific proteins E7 HPV-6 and HPV-11. Not only decreasing expression and increasing deletion of the target genome, CRISPR/Cas9 has also been shown to be very efficient in suppressing cell proliferation. Keratin cells that have been exposed to the E7 HPV-6 and HPV-11 genomes will cause uncontrolled cell proliferation. With this method, the treatment of Condyloma Acuminata can be carried out effectively and efficiently so that it does not cause recurrence in the sufferer.

Abstract

Scoliosis is an abnormal lateral curvature of the spine associated with or without rotation of the vertebrae. Scoliosis is not just a cosmetic problem, but it has impact on many aspects of a person’s quality of life. One’s can experience pain, posture, respiratory, psychosocial problems. In This case report we would like to demonstrated an integrated comprehensive, tailor-made rehabilitation treatment for adolescent scoliosis. The patient is a 15-year-old female with complaints of scoliosis and back pain. Her first menarche was when she was 11 years old. No medical Problem was found. She loved to hang out with her friends and family but since her back hump getting worse, she ashamed of herself and sometimes refused to meet them or cover it with thick layer clothes. The pain in scale of 6 has been present for 1 year. She is unhappy with her body alignment and posture. From physical examination we found The Adam forward bend test was positive. From the x-ray before treatment showed the cobb angle was 20. Pelvic tilt (+), Risser sign 3-4, with Scoliosis C Curve. She can easily do her activities without feeling easily tired nor dyspnoea. She was prescribed a tailor-made Boston brace, physical exercise, heating modality, psychosocial intervention. After 12 weeks of therapy and bracing there was an improvement in posture, minimal pain (3-4), and she became more confidence and happy. The spine malalignment and the curvature can compress spinal disks, irritate nerve, strain joints, tighten muscles and it leads to pain. Because of this spine malalignment can affect posture it can leads to a psychosocial problem. Since the cobb angle was 20 degrees, no full maturation found, it is indicated for Brace prescription, to correct posture and prevent progressivity of curve angle. A proper exercise with heating modality can decrease muscle spasm and pain, maintain flexibility and strengthen spine/core muscle. The earlier diagnosis and treatment of an adolescent scoliosis can give so much different; it depends on the maturation and the cobb angle. In this comprehensive treatment needs a support not only from the patient but also from her society.
