Tumou Tou adalah jurnal ilmiah Institut Agama Kristen Negeri Manado yang dikelolah oleh Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian Masyarakat untuk membantu para akademisi dan juga peneliti untuk membagikan hasil penelitiannya dalam hubungannya dengan Kristianitas, Ajaran dan Kemasyarakatan. Jurnal yang diterbitkan telah melalui proses peer-review dan proses editing secara profesional dan berkualitas pada bidangnya yang merupakan salah satu prasyarat untuk dapat Terakreditasi pada ARJUNA RISTEKBRIN dan juga terindeks pada SINTA. Tumou Tou merupakan jurnal yang telah diterbit sejak tahun 2014 dalam bentuk cetak dengan ISSN 2355-3308 dan secara online menggunakan OJS dimulai sejak tahun 2020

Abstract

Artikel ini menguraikan peran sentral Gereja dalam menanggapi ketidakadilan sosial yang terjadi secara global. Ketimpangan ini meliputi aspek ekonomi, sosial, dan politik, di mana distribusi sumber daya dan kesempatan tidak merata, menyebabkan marginalisasi bagi banyak individu. Teologi Kristen memandang keadilan sebagai prinsip esensial yang didasarkan pada kasih Allah terhadap semua manusia. Dari itu, Gereja dipanggil untuk menjalankan peran profetisnya dengan mengadvokasi keadilan bagi kaum tertindas dan memperjuangkan sistem sosial yang lebih adil. Pemikiran teologis dari tokoh-tokoh seperti Gustavo Gutiérrez, yang mengembangkan teologi pembebasan, menekankan bahwa Gereja harus terlibat aktif dalam memerangi ketidakadilan struktural. Selain itu, Reinhold Niebuhr dan John Stott menggarisbawahi tanggung jawab moral Gereja untuk berkontribusi pada perubahan sosial melalui aksi nyata dan advokasi kebijakan yang adil. Dengan demikian, Gereja bukan hanya lembaga spiritual, tetapi juga agen transformasi sosial yang memiliki komitmen untuk mewujudkan keadilan di tengah ketimpangan global.

Abstract

Christian education has a positive influence on students every time. Christian education also provides opportunities for students to express their life experiences while educating them about body appreciation. This research analysed the significance of self-love and self-acceptance of the student body in Christian education from feminist pedagogy. This research method was qualitative, using a literature review approach, and data was collected by interviewing grade X adolescents at one of the public high schools in Palu. This research showed that adolescents apply life with the value of self-love and self-acceptance for their bodies. They also experienced caring educators and Christian education learning that supported development and growth.

Abstract

This article aims to refresh the theological thought of Rudolf Bultmann in a contemporary context by examining his contributions to existential theology and the relevance of the Gospel in the modern era. The main focus of this study includes Bultmann's ideas on the “Hidden God”, divine revelation, and existential faith experience, as well as the concept of demythologisation as an attempt to actualise the biblical message in an increasingly secular and pluralistic world. Criticism of his hermeneutical methods is also discussed to evaluate the relevance of Bultmann's theology in confronting the challenges of spiritual life and contemporary Christian ethics. The research demonstrates that, despite facing criticism, Bultmann's thought remains relevant and offers new insights into understanding faith, revelation, and Christian dogma in the modern world. Thus, this article presents a perspective of renewal in the application of Bultmann's theological thought for the contemporary context.

Abstract

Perzinaan dan kekerasan seksual merupakan isu kompleks yang memiliki implikasi moral, hukum, dan sosial yang signifikan. Dalam konteks ini, teologi publik dan kriminologi menawarkan perspektif yang saling melengkapi untuk memahami dan menangani masalah-masalah tersebut. Teologi publik memberikan kerangka untuk mengeksplorasi dimensi etis dan spiritual dari perzinaan, serta dampaknya terhadap hubungan sosial, sementara kriminologi meneliti penyebab, konsekuensi, dan respons sistem peradilan pidana terhadap kejahatan. Melalui pendekatan ini, tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap hubungan antara perzinaan dan hukum pidana di Indonesia, serta bagaimana pemahaman kekristenan dapat memberikan konstruksi teologis dalam merespons isu perzinaan dan kekerasan seksual. Dengan demikian, diharapkan dapat dihasilkan wawasan yang lebih mendalam tentang keadilan sosial dan ketidaksetaraan yang dihadapi masyarakat.

Abstract

To support all its service activities, the Evangelical Christian Church in Timor has established five ministries to become instruments for GMIT to determine programs that can touch the congregation's struggles. This is important because GMIT is struggling with many humanitarian issues such as poverty, human trafficking, problematic climate and nature and many other problems. In carrying out this task, the church must be fair and act correctly so that the entire series of services is not biased. This task is framed upon Micah 6:8. Therefore, it can be said that this article is the result of an elaboration between text interpretation and a social theological approach which shows the practical side of the biblical text used as a reference. The conclusion of this article is that it can serve as material for reflection for GMIT in carrying out all its service activities while remaining faithful to the Bible, and full of justice, faithfulness and humility.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the application of management principles in the implementation of non-formal education in church Sunday Schools. The results reveal that the effective and efficient learning process requires the application of management principles, including planning, organizing, implementation, and supervision. Careful planning, including the development of a structured curriculum, is key to achieving educational goals and improving students' understanding. Using a phenomenology research method, this study emphasizes that the application of management principles in Sunday Schools is of great importance in supporting the achievement of effective and efficient education, as well as ensuring the fulfilment of the Great Commission of Jesus Christ through Sunday School education
