Abstract

The case of speech delay children in PAUD institutions in Ponorogo District has a high increase, there are 11 children who experience speech delays in PAUD. This study determined 4 speech delay children as research subjects. The TPR (Total Physical Response) method is applied to the learning process of speech delay children. This study aims to analyse the effect of Total Physical Response (TPR) method on language and cognitive development of speech delay children in PAUD. This research method is quantitative with the research design used for data analysis, namely the untreated control group design with pretest and postest which is a type of Control Group Time-Series Experiment, namely by conducting a pretest and posttest. The data collection technique is direct observation of the research subject during learning activities, and direct observation through documents of work, photos and videos of speech delay children. The results of observational data collected and analysed, as well as testing stated that there was an effect of the TPR method on the language and cognitive development of speech delay children in PAUD with evidence of the Wilcoxon test results which showed that language skills obtained an Asymp.Sig value. (2-tailed) 0.03 <0.05, while cognitive ability obtained an Asymp.Sig. (2-tailed) 0.011 < 0.05. For future research, it is recommended to conduct research on the effect of the TPR method on other aspects of development, namely religious and moral values, social emotional, physical motor and art.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of the Big Book media on the ability of 5–6-year-old children to understand disaster mitigation and to examine its role in enhancing their self-confidence. This research employs a quantitative experimental approach. The experimental method used in this study is a quasi-experimental design, also known as a pseudo-experimental design. The population of this study consists of all 30 children in group B at TK Syamsul Huda Bulusan, Banyuwangi. The sampling technique used is a saturated sample, meaning that all 30 children in group B at TK Syamsul Huda Bulusan, Banyuwangi, were included as the research sample. Data collection was conducted using observation methods, and data analysis was carried out using the Mann-Whitney U test. The study examines the pretest-posttest scores of both the control and experimental groups. The results indicate that the Big Book media has a positive effect on children's understanding of disaster mitigation and their self-confidence. This finding confirms that interactive learning media, such as the Big Book, have great potential to enhance the learning quality of 5–6-year-old children. Abstrak

Abstract

Bullying is often a serious problem that disrupts children's comfort and safety at school. So this research aims to explore the strategies implemented by educators at Al-Azhar 29 Semarang Islamic Kindergarten in preventing bullying and creating a child-friendly school environment. The method used in this research is qualitative, with data collection techniques through interviews with school principals and educators, observation, and documentation to understand the strategies implemented in depth. The results of the research show that educators' strategies for anticipating bullying at Al-Azhar Islamic Kindergarten 29 Semarang are carried out in the form of (1) parenting activities involving parents, (2) implementing value-based learning such as inviting children to sing anti-bullying songs, (3) providing understanding and direction regarding bullying, (4) providing advice and examples of good and bad behavior, (5) creating a child-friendly school environment. Apart from that, the success of implementing educators' strategies in anticipating bullying is influenced by internal factors, namely the support of school principals and educators in school policies related to anti-bullying. Meanwhile, the obstacles are influenced by external factors, namely parents, where there are differences in parenting styles at home and at school and there is no cooperative attitude from the child's parents

Abstract

The development of gross motor skills serves as a key aspect in early childhood education. This study aims to analyze the transformation of gross motor learning through the synthesis of movement-song demonstration and ATIK model at TK Pertiwi Saleppa. This qualitative research employs a case study design involving 20 group B students (5 males, 15 females) and their teachers as research subjects. Data collection utilizes participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Research findings reveal three major improvements: First, teaching practices become more structured through systematic planning, interactive delivery, and comprehensive assessment. Second, student engagement increases, shown by enhanced cognitive involvement during observation and imitation phases, optimal physical participation during improvisation and creation stages, and growing social interaction throughout learning activities. Third, gross motor skills develop progressively, evidenced by improved movement coordination, better balance control, and expanded movement creativity. The synthesis of movement-song demonstration and ATIK model creates an effective framework for gross motor development while maintaining student engagement throughout the learning process.
