Family resilience is a strategic issue in agricultural and rural development in Indonesia, particularly amidst economic vulnerability, livelihood uncertainty, and limited access to resources. The family serves as the basic social unit that supports the sustainable well-being and adaptation of rural communities. However, development communication studies still show theoretical fragmentation and minimal attention to communication as a core mechanism of resilience. This paper aims to critically review the Family Resilience Framework (Walsh) and Communicative Resilience (Buzzanell), and compare them with Sensemaking Theory (Weick), to assess their relevance and limitations in the Indonesian development context. The review was conducted through a systematic narrative approach to Scopus-indexed journal articles that empirically apply resilience theory. The results of the study indicate that Walsh's theory effectively explains the internal adaptive capacity of families, while Buzzanell emphasizes communication as a process of negotiating meaning and identity in crisis situations. However, both theories remain inadequate in explaining power relations, structural barriers, and the institutional context of rural development. This paper offers a theoretical synthesis that integrates systemic, communicative, and sensemaking approaches to understand family resilience contextually. The research implications emphasize the importance of empirical studies based in rural communities and the design of culturally sensitive, participatory, and ethical development communication interventions.

The enactment of Law Number 6 of 2023 concerning the Stipulation of Government Regulation in Lieu of Law Number 2 of 2022 concerning Job Creation into Law (Job Creation Law) has brought fundamental changes to the concept of the Limited Liability Company (PT) legal entity in Indonesia. Significant changes occurred in Article 1 number 1 and Article 7 of Law Number 40 of 2007 concerning Limited Liability Companies (UUPT), which now introduces the concept of a Sole Proprietorship (Private Liability Company) for Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs). Unlike the classic principle of a PT, which is a capital association and must be established by at least two individuals based on an agreement, a Sole Proprietorship allows for the establishment of a single individual through a deed of establishment. However, the Job Creation Law does not change the provisions regarding the Company's Organs, which consist of the General Meeting of Shareholders (GMS), the Board of Directors, and the Board of Commissioners, which are generally assumed to be held by different individuals. This study aims to examine and analyze the status and mechanisms of Limited Liability Company Organs in Sole Proprietorships categorized as micro and small enterprises, considering the combination of the functions of capital owner and manager within a single legal entity.

The escalation of corruption and money laundering cases and their loss need to be responded by reorienting the objectives of criminalizing corruption and money laundering cases towards doel theorien which emphasizes the aspect of state financial/asset recovery and restoration. By using the juridical-normative research method, the results obtained were there are three challenges faced by law enforcement in Indonesia in carrying out and optimizing state financial/asset recovery in corruption and money laundering, namely: 1) the criminalization system for corruption and money laundering tends to focus on retaliation (punitive) against the perpetrators; 2) there is complexity in technology and financial/banking systems; and 3) limited international cooperation in combating corruption and money laundering. In terms of re-orientation of the purpose of punishment towards doel theorien in corruption and money laundering, law enforcement can be carried out through two main ideas, namely 1) by optimizing the Double Track System in Corruption and Money Laundering in corruption and money laundering cases to return state assets and finances resulting from corruption and other crimes; and 2) doel theorien in corruption and money laundering is oriented towards restoration efforts, one of which is by introducing the Pre-Trial Conference in state financial/asset recovery efforts.

This study investigates whether profitability explains stock price movements in a major Indonesian banking issuer, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI), during 2014–2024. Motivated by mixed evidence on the value relevance of accounting performance in emerging markets, the research tests the effects of Return on Assets (ROA) and Return on Equity (ROE) on BBRI’s annual stock price. Using a quantitative design, the study analyzes annual secondary data (11 observations) compiled from audited financial statements and stock price records. Simple linear regression is used to estimate the partial effects of ROA and ROE, while multiple linear regression evaluates their joint explanatory power, with a 5% significance threshold. The partial results indicate that ROA is statistically insignificant (t = −1.341; p = 0.213; R² = 0.166) and ROE is also insignificant (t = −1.264; p = 0.238; R² = 0.151). In the multivariate model, both coefficients remain negative and insignificant, and the overall model is not significant (F = 0.838; p = 0.467), with modest explanatory power (R² = 0.173). These findings suggest that annual stock price variation in BBRI is driven primarily by factors beyond profitability, such as market sentiment and macroeconomic conditions. Practically, investors should avoid relying solely on ROA and ROE when valuing BBRI, while managers may need to complement profitability improvements with clearer market signaling. The study is limited by the small annual sample and potential omitted variables; future research should employ higher-frequency data and incorporate macro and bank-specific controls to improve inference and test non-linear effects.

Background: The use of smartphones among preschool children has increased along with the development of digital technology. Children aged 4–6 years are in a golden period of development, which includes gross motor skills, fine motor skills, speech and language, socialization, and independence. This study aimed to determine the relationship between the intensity of smartphone use and the development of children aged 4–6 years at TK Negeri Pembina 2 Kota Jambi. Methods: This study employed a cross-sectional design. The sampling technique used was total sampling, with 88 children who met the inclusion criteria as respondents. Data on the intensity of smartphone use were obtained through a questionnaire completed by parents, while child development was assessed using the Developmental Pre-Screening Questionnaire (KPSP). Results: Most children had a moderate level of smartphone use intensity (40.9%), and child development was predominantly in the appropriate category (53.4%). The Spearman Rank correlation test showed a correlation coefficient of r = −0.794 with a significance value of p < 0.001, indicating that H1 was accepted and H0 was rejected. These results demonstrate a strong relationship between the intensity of smartphone use and child development. Conclusion: Higher intensity of smartphone use may lead to a decrease in child development. Therefore, it is expected that schools can collaborate with parents to provide education regarding the wise use of smartphones for preschool children.

The changes and pressures of daily life often leave people feeling bored and stressed, making it difficult to maintain a healthy mindset. Various illnesses arise from human negligence, such as not maintaining a healthy lifestyle, or are caused by viral, bacterial, and other factors that disrupt physical health. However, beyond these factors, there are also non-medical causes of bodily "illness," namely disorders arising from mental and emotional conditions, as well as the accumulation of subconscious thoughts known as psychosomatics. One method that can be used to help recover from these conditions is hypnotherapy, the application of hypnosis techniques for therapeutic purposes. This study aims to analyze communication patterns in the hypnosis process, which play a role in fostering self-awareness and improving the client's mental health. The research approach used qualitative methods through in-depth interviews, observations, and document reviews. Data were analyzed to identify effective hypnotic communication patterns that enable suggestions to be accepted by the client's subconscious mind. The results provide insight into hypnosis techniques used in therapy and communication strategies that therapists can use effectively. The client's determination to recover, maintaining a positive mindset, and maintaining mental health are crucial factors in achieving their life goals. Selecting appropriate communication techniques and strategies helps therapists determine the appropriate approach to addressing client issues. This research emphasizes the importance of therapists' sensitivity in recognizing clients' capacities and resources so that communication can improve their self-awareness and mental health.

This study aims to explore how the communication style of the Product Development Division Manager influences the communication climate of production employees at PT Hanes Supply Chain Indonesia. In the context of the manufacturing industry, which is characterized by high performance targets, hierarchical structures, and intensive cross-functional coordination, leadership communication plays a crucial role in shaping the work environment and supervisor–subordinate relationships. This research adopts a qualitative case study approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with the manager and production employees in the Product Development Division to capture their experiences, perceptions, and interpretations of everyday communication practices. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis to identify patterns of managerial communication style and their implications for the communication climate. The findings reveal that an open, supportive, and responsive communication style contributes to a more positive communication climate, characterized by higher levels of trust, openness, and psychological safety among employees. In contrast, rigid and less empathetic communication tends to create distance and inhibit open interaction. These results highlight the strategic role of leadership communication in fostering a healthy and productive communication climate within manufacturing organizations.

This article analyzes the Merdeka Curriculum and the idea of Merdeka Belajar (Independent Learning) as a contestation of the meaning of “independence” in education. The study distinguishes procedural independence in terms of flexibility of methods, differentiation, and simplification of content from substantive independence in critical pedagogy, namely liberation from oppressive power relations. The research uses literature study and conceptual-critical analysis of policy documents and the literature of Tan Malaka and Paulo Freire. The findings show that the novelty of the Merdeka Curriculum appears strong at the methodological level, but it is still vulnerable to maintaining the coloniality of education at the structural level. This vulnerability is seen in three axes: knowledge power that remains rooted in official knowledge, evaluation that maintains the function of selection and reproduces achievement hierarchies, and goal orientation that easily shifts to become instrumental and compatible with human capital logic. Paradoxically, students appear autonomous in their learning methods but remain locked into comparative measures of success. These findings confirm that curriculum reform needs to touch on epistemic structures and assessments in order for education to move towards emancipation. The Tan Malaka-Freire synthesis framework is offered to evaluate policies and formulate the conditions for substantive independence in learning practices in schools and campuses

The digital era has given rise to new intangible assets, including social media accounts such as TikTok, which now hold significant economic value through monetization, endorsements, and commercial partnerships. This phenomenon triggers a legal urgency regarding the legal status of TikTok accounts as objects of property rights and their potential as loan collateral. Utilizing a normative legal research method with various approaches—statutory, conceptual, and comparative—this study examines the position of TikTok accounts under the Indonesian Civil Code (KUH Perdata) and the mechanisms for their execution as collateral. The findings indicate that, conceptually, a TikTok account is classified as an intangible movable asset that can be legally transferred through access control. Despite its potential as collateral, the lack of explicit regulation necessitates legal updates and a reform of property law in Indonesia to accommodate these digital assets.

This study aims to analyze the results of the TOEIC Prediction Test as a tool to measure the English language proficiency of vocational high school (SMK) students, specifically tenth-grade students of SMKN 21 Jakarta. The study used a quantitative descriptive approach with 177 students from four majors: Accounting and Institutional Finance (AKL), Retail Business (BR), Office Management and Business Services (MPLB), and Software and Game Development (PPLG). Data were obtained from the TOEIC Prediction Test results on October 17, 2025, covering Listening, Reading, and total scores. The results showed that the average TOEIC Prediction score for students fell within the basic to intermediate range, with the PPLG major achieving the highest average score compared to other majors. These findings suggest that the TOEIC Prediction Test can be used as a tool for initial mapping of vocational high school students' English language proficiency. The results are expected to serve as a basis for planning more contextual English language learning that aligns with the needs of the workplace.
