Abstract

This study aims to measure the satisfaction level of the community in Pulau Obi regarding the investment from PT Harita Group in the mining sector. The research employed a descriptive survey method by collecting primary data through questionnaires distributed to 100 respondents in Pulau Obi. Data analysis was conducted using the Servqual method to assess the gap between the perceived implementation and the expected importance of investment aspects as experienced by the community. Additionally, the Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA) was used to map priority areas for service improvement based on community responses. The results show that most items had a negative gap value, indicating that the implementation of the investment has not fully met community expectations, especially in the areas of household income allocation for consumption and housing conditions. However, aspects related to education and healthcare services have relatively high performance and importance and should be maintained. The IPA results divided the attributes into four quadrants, highlighting income and housing as areas needing urgent improvement, while education and healthcare services were areas to be sustained. In conclusion, to enhance community welfare in Pulau Obi, it is crucial to focus on improving economic conditions and housing quality without neglecting the maintenance of existing satisfactory educational and health services. This study provides essential insights for PT Harita Group and stakeholders to develop more inclusive, sustainable investment strategies that benefit the local community and contribute to long-term regional development.

Abstract

This study aims to assess the level of tourist satisfaction with the Darunu Mangrove Ecotourism Village using the Net Promoter Score (NPS) method. This approach was chosen because it is effective in measuring not only tourist satisfaction but also loyalty behavior, which is reflected in tourists' willingness to recommend the destination to others. This study used a quantitative descriptive method involving 100 tourists selected by accidental sampling. Data were obtained through field observations, brief interviews, and a questionnaire using a Likert scale. The findings show that overall tourist satisfaction is in the “good” category, with an average NPS score of 52.7. The highest-ranking indicators are friendly environmental conditions (72), intention to revisit (69), affordability (68), and destination attractiveness (66). Conversely, the facilities (40) and accessibility (48) indicators have the lowest scores, indicating the need for improvements in infrastructure and visitor comfort. The results demonstrate that community involvement and sustainable environmental management play a crucial role in shaping positive tourism experiences. Furthermore, this study provides strategic insights for destination managers and local governments to enhance the development of sustainable mangrove-based ecotourism in the coastal areas of North Minahasa. Keywords: tourist satisfaction, mangrove ecotourism, tourist loyalty, Net Promoter Score (NPS), destination management, sustainable tourism

Abstract

This study investigates whether profitability explains stock price movements in a major Indonesian banking issuer, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI), during 2014–2024. Motivated by mixed evidence on the value relevance of accounting performance in emerging markets, the research tests the effects of Return on Assets (ROA) and Return on Equity (ROE) on BBRI’s annual stock price. Using a quantitative design, the study analyzes annual secondary data (11 observations) compiled from audited financial statements and stock price records. Simple linear regression is used to estimate the partial effects of ROA and ROE, while multiple linear regression evaluates their joint explanatory power, with a 5% significance threshold. The partial results indicate that ROA is statistically insignificant (t = −1.341; p = 0.213; R² = 0.166) and ROE is also insignificant (t = −1.264; p = 0.238; R² = 0.151). In the multivariate model, both coefficients remain negative and insignificant, and the overall model is not significant (F = 0.838; p = 0.467), with modest explanatory power (R² = 0.173). These findings suggest that annual stock price variation in BBRI is driven primarily by factors beyond profitability, such as market sentiment and macroeconomic conditions. Practically, investors should avoid relying solely on ROA and ROE when valuing BBRI, while managers may need to complement profitability improvements with clearer market signaling. The study is limited by the small annual sample and potential omitted variables; future research should employ higher-frequency data and incorporate macro and bank-specific controls to improve inference and test non-linear effects.
