The traditional market of Meulaboh, West Aceh is a vital economic centre, but its activities put significant pressure on the surrounding road network. Research method used was to analyse the performance of a road section using the Manual of Road Capacity in Indonesia (MKJI 1997). Results of traffic flow measurements showed a consistent pattern: the highest vehicle volumes occurred on Saturday with peaks of 95.7 smp/h on Jl. Daud Dariyah (13.15-13.30) and 92 smp/h on Jl. Chik Ali Akbar (17.45-18.00). Meanwhile, Jl. Blang Pulo recorded a steady flow of over 1750 smp/hr with a DS of 0.77 (morning) and a peak of 1940.4 smp/hr (afternoon). Temporal analysis reveals a distinctive pattern where morning activity (07.00-09.00) is dominated by goods transport vehicles, while afternoons (16.00-18.00) are packed with shoppers using motorbikes. Road level of service classifications varied: from the worst condition on Jl. Daud Dariyah (level D-E) to the best on Jl. Melati (level B-C) with an average vehicle speed of 35.67 km/hour. The findings indicate an imbalance between road capacity (2299 smp/h) and traffic volumes, especially in segments adjacent to the market loading and unloading area. The comprehensive solution proposed includes management strategies for the short, medium and long term.

This study examines the comparison of labor productivity during normal working hours and overtime in the ceramic installation work of the Transit Office renovation project of the Ministry of Finance in Balikpapan City. The main issue is how the value of labor productivity differs between normal working hours and overtime, and its impact on the decline in productivity and the increase in wage costs. The research method was conducted through direct observation in the field over 10 days during normal working hours (08:00–16:00) and overtime hours (19:00–22:00), focusing on the productivity of ceramic workers using 60cmx60cm ceramic tiles. The research results show a significant difference in labor productivity between normal working hours and overtime, where productivity during overtime decreases due to fatigue, which also leads to an increase in labor wage costs. In conclusion, although overtime can accelerate project completion in the short term, the implementation of overtime hours in the long term negatively impacts productivity and cost efficiency. Therefore, proper management of overtime hours is necessary to maintain a balance between time, cost, and quality in construction projects.

The Rodalink showroom is an existing four-story building constructed of reinforced concrete. To compare the different material requirements, a construction study of this building was conducted using a steel structure based on SNI 1729:2020. First, the steel structure was modeled using AutoCAD, then the structural analysis was carried out with the ETABS program. The steel structure consists of main beam elements namely WF 350.175.6.9, WF 350.175.7.11, WF 350.250.9.14, and WF 350.250.8.12. For the sub-beams, the optimal profile is WF 300.200.8.12, while for the column profile is WF 400.300.10.16, and for the X-bracing component is WF 300.200.8.12. The material cost comparison shows that the steel structure portal is 95.45% more expensive with a total cost of IDR 826,467,401 compared to the concrete structure portal of IDR 422,863,490. The high cost of steel structure materials is due to the high cost of production and raw materials, complex manufacturing processes, and additional protection required to prevent corrosion. The price does not include labor costs. Concrete construction takes longer than steel construction, so the potential labor costs for concrete structures tend to be higher.

The increasing need for concrete materials results in the availability of limestone as a non-renewable raw material for portland cement makers to be limited and will run out if its extraction is carried out continuously, so it is necessary to find replacement materials for cement as a constituent material for concrete. In this study, mussels shell waste was tested as a substitute for cement with a percentage of 2% and 5%. Furthermore, the parameters tested are compressive strength tests. Based on the test results, it was obtained that the compressive strength value decreased with the increase in the percentage of use of mashed shells.

Development in coastal areas has a problem, namely concrete construction will come into direct contact with seawater. Seawater is one of the causes of failure in building structures. Innovations in the field of concrete material technology, one of which is to improve the properties of concrete, including the addition of certain materials, namely admixtures or additives to the concrete mixture, one of which is supperplaticizer. In this study, the compressive strength value of concrete immersed in 3 curing media will be compared, namely normal water, seawater in laboratory conditions and seawater directly. Based on the results of compressive strength, it shows that concrete that is directly exposed to seawater will experience a decrease in compressive strength. And after added the concrete supperplaticizer experiences an increase in the compressive strength value, this is in accordance with the supperplacizier properties which accelerate the hardening of the concrete and increase the sealability or density of the concrete. However, at compositions above 1% concrete, the compressive strength value has decreased.
