Abstract

COVID-19 pandemic impacts on vocational education. Lectures that were originally conducted face-to-face learning are diverted to online learning to avoid the spread of the pandemic. Online learning is very difficult to apply for courses conducted in the laboratory. This study discusses vocational students’ responses to the practice of online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. Data were collected through a questionnaire created on Google form consisting of 20 questions. The questionnaire used a Likert scale to find out the attitudes and students’ perceptions of the implementation of online learning. The number of research respondents was 107 people consisting of 45 respondents from the West Aceh State Community Academy and 62 respondents from Lhokseumawe State Polytechnic, Aceh, Indonesia. The results of this study found that 59.81% of students disagree with online learning. The results also showed a score of 76.95% of the students agree that internet access is the main obstacle in online learning. However, students’ satisfaction with the current online learning system for students shows a score of 67.50%. Opinions related to online learning from 107 respondents showed that 45.42% of them less agree if online learning is still applied when the COVID-19 pandemic ends.

Abstract

Abstrak: Pasar sangatlah identik dengan pusat keramaian, karena pasar merupakan pusat perdagangan yang terletak di pusat kota yang sering disebut juga dengan kawasan Central Bussiness District (CBD). Karena pasar merupakan pusat keramaian sehingga mengundang banyak masyarakat untuk datang ke kawasan tersebut sehingga menimbulkan kemacetan arus lalu lintas, akibat tidak terkendalinya arus lalu lintas di sekitar pasar. Kemacetan arus lalu lintas salah satunya akibat dari tidak terkendalinya parkir sehingga membuat kondisi parkir di sekitar daerah tersebut menjadi semakin semrawut. Pasar Aceh merupakan salah satu pusat perdagangan terbesar dan yang paling berkembang di kota Banda Aceh. Semakin berkembangnya kawasan Pasar Aceh membuat aktivitas pergerakan masyarakat semakin meningkat, sehingga membuat menurunnya tingkat pelayanan jalan di kawasan tersebut,  yang diakibatkan oleh kendaraan yang berjalan lambat, parkir, pejalan kaki dan pedagang kaki lima. Pasar Aceh memiliki fasilitas ruang parkirnya. Setelah disediakan ruang parkir pada gedung Pasar Aceh (off-street parking) yang baru ini ternyata masih banyak masyarakat yang lebih memilih parkir dibadan jalan (on-street parking), sementara pelataran parkir pada gedung Pasar Aceh belum habis terisi penuh, sehingga masih terjadi kemacetan dan kesemrawutan lalu lintas yang diakibatkan oleh banyaknya pengguna jalan yang menggunakan badan jalan sebagai tempat parkir. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah : (1) mengevaluasi kinerja jalan yang terbebani oleh kendaraan yang melintasi jalan di kawasan Pasar Aceh, (2) mengevaluasi kebutuhan ruang parkir yang optimal untuk melayani para pengunjung Pasar Aceh dan (3) mengidentifikasi permasalahan-permasalahan yang timbul akibat on-street parking berdasarkan persepsi masyarakat. Sehingga diharapkan dapat direncanakan manajemen parkir yang baik untuk masa yang akan datang.Kata kunci : tingkat pelayanan jalan, permasalahan parkir, persepsi masyarakat, manajemen parkirAbstract: The market is very synonymous with the center of the crowd, because the market is a trading center located in the city center which is often referred to as the Central Bussiness District (CBD). One of the traffic jams is due to uncontrolled parking, making parking conditions around the area increasingly chaotic. Aceh Market is one of the largest and most developed trade centers in the city of Banda Aceh. The increasing development of the Aceh Market area has made community movement activities increasingly increasing, which has caused a decline in the level of road services in the area, which is caused by vehicles that run slowly, parked, pedestrians and street vendors. Aceh Market has its parking facilities. Having provided parking space on the new Pasar Aceh (off-street parking) building it turns out that there are still many people who prefer on-street parking, while the parking lot on the Aceh Market building has not been fully filled, so traffic jams still occur and the chaos of traffic caused by many road users who use the road as a parking lot. The objectives of this study are: (1) evaluating road performance burdened by vehicles crossing the road in the Aceh Market area, (2) evaluating optimal parking space requirements to serve Aceh Market visitors and (3) identifying problems arising from -street parking based on people's perception. Abstract

Abstract The Meulaboh - Tapak Tuan road is the main access road linking several districts, Aceh Barat, Aceh Barat Daya, Aceh Selatan, and Aceh Tengah. After the earthquake and tsunami hit Aceh, its economies experienced rapid growth. This greatly influences the distribution of traffic volume on specific road segments, including the increasingly congested Meulaboh - Tapak Tuan roads. As a result, the number of private vehicles is increasing. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the performance of roads in the area based on the Indonesian Road Capacity Manual, as well as to analyze the level of road services at present and in the future. The analysis of the road performance can be measure by several indicators such as traffic flow (Q), capacity (C), degree of saturation (DS), free flow velocity (FV), and level of service on the road section. The calculations were obtained from 3 days direct observation in the field from 07:00 to 19:00 with Monday and Thursday representing workdays and Saturday representing weekend. The highest conversion value of traffic flow in 2020 was 1357 pcu/hour for (Q), 2654 pcu/hour for the actual capacity value (C), and 0.51 for the degree of saturation (DS). The analysis results show that the degree of saturation < 0.75. According to Marga (1997), it is considered in good condition with smooth traffic flow at the service level of C. The road performance analysis for the next five years for traffic flow was 2093 pcu/hour for Q and 0.79 for the degree of saturation (DS). The service level is categorized as level D. It is necessary to find solutions and alternatives to reduce the degree of saturation (DS) value by increasing the value of capacity. Keywords: Road Performance, Traffic Volume, Service Level __________________________ Abstrak Ruas jalan lintas Meulaboh – Tapak Tuan merupakan akses yang menghubungkan beberapa kabupaten yaitu Aceh Barat, Aceh Barat Daya, Aceh Selatan, Aceh tengah dan lainnya. Pasca gempa dan tsunami menerjang, pertumbuhan ekonomi pada Provinsi Aceh mengalami kemajuan yang cukup pesat. Hal ini sangat mempengaruhi penyebaran volume lalu lintas pada ruas-ruas jalan tertentu termasuk ruas jalan lintas Meulaboh – Tapak Tuan semakin padat. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini adalah melakukan evaluasi kinerja terhadap ruas jalan pada kawasan tersebut berdasarkan Manual Kapasitas Jalan Indonesia, dan menganalisis tingkat pelayanan jalan pada saat ini maupun di masa yang akan datang. Dalam menganalisis kinerja ruas jalan indikator kinerja yang dibutuhkan yaitu arus lalu lintas (Q), kapasitas (C), derajat Kejenuhan (DS), Kecepatan arus bebas (FV) dan tingkat pelayanan pada raus jalan tersebut. Hasil perhitungan yang di dapat selama 3 hari pengamatan langsung di lapangan dari pukul 07.00-19.00 wib yaitu hari senin dan kamis mewakili hari kerja, hari sabtu mewakili hari libur. Didapat nilai konversi tertinggi arus lalu lintas pada Tahun 2020 (Q) sebesar 1357 smp/jam, nilai kapasitas aktual (C) sebesar 2654 smp/jam, derajat kejenuhan (DS) sebesar 0,51. Dari hasil perhitungan didapat derajat kejenuhan < 0,75 (Marga, 1997) dianggap dalam kondisi baik, arus stabil, kecepatan dipengaruhi oleh lalu lintas dengan tingkat pelayanan C. Perhitungan analisis kinerja jalan pada 5 tahun mendatang yaitu untuk arus lalu lintas Tahun 2025 (Q) sebesar 2093 smp/jam derajat kejenuhan (DS) sebesar 0,79 tingkat pelayanannya dikategorikan tingkat D. Hal tersebut dapat dicari solusi terbaik sehingga dapat menurunkan nilai derajat kejenuhan (DS) dengan cara meningkatkan nilai kapasitas. Abstract

After earthquake and tsunami in 2004, Aceh Barat Regency had been trying to reduce disaster risk by making evacuation routes for residents from disaster-prone areas to high and safe places. However, currently several existing evacuation routes are in a badly damaged condition, namely the Alue Peunyareng - UTD Ujong Tanoh Darat Village, Meureubo District and the Meulaboh - Tutut Keuramat Village, Kaway XVI District. If the condition of the road is in a badly damaged condition, during the disaster evacuation process, this area will experience many obstacles, i.e., the level of driving safety and slower vehicle travel time. This study aims to evaluate the level of road damage on the two existing roads by comparing the Bina Marga and Pavement Condition Index (PCI) methods. The data was collected by field observations through measuring the level of damage, and the Average Daily Traffic (LHR) survey. The analysis results by two methods showed that the condition of the Alue Peunyareng - UTD road, Ujong Tanoh Darat Village, Meureubo District was very poor category with an average PCI value of 23.30 and the priority value of handling is 4 with periodic maintenance recommendation, whereas the Meulaboh road - Tutut Keuramat Village, Kaway XVI District was poor category with an average PCI value of 31.33 and a priority value of 3 with road improvement recommendation. The recommendation for alternative treatment is to replace the pavement by calculating the additional pavement layer thickness or by recycling the existing pavement for a more efficient cost.

Abstract

The Mendeley application makes it very easy for authors to cite reference sources and write a bibliography accurately and quickly according to the specified bibliography style. This service activity trains students to use the Mendeley application for scientific paper writing. This service was conducted at Medical College of Health (STIKES) West Seramoe. The target group of this service are students. The selection of this service point was based on the results of interviews with students from STIKES Medika West Seramoe, most of whom compiled a bibliography manually. The method of conducting community service is carried out in the phases of (1) preparing for community service activities and (2) conducting community service activities. Learning and practicing this service involves the following steps: (1) Installing the Mendeley application; (2) operate Mendeley; (3) add references; (4) Add reference files automatically; (5) perform citations; and (6) compiling a bibliography. The results of conducting for this service allow the conclusion that students can operate the Mendeley application well. Mendeley operations helps students with citation/quotes by using Mendeley correctly in scientific reports.

Abstract

This community service activity provides information related to disaster and tsunami evacuation routes in the city of Meulaboh, West Aceh Regency, especially in the red zone area. Poltekkes is a vocational college located in Meulaboh, West Aceh District, which is in the red zone area. Communities in the red zone are prone to earthquakes and tsunamis, so they must carry out an evacuation process. The method of implementing this community service activity consists of socializing evacuation routes consisting of 7 routes in Johan Pahlawan District and 5 routes in Meureubo District. Measuring the achievements of socialization activities was carried out by distributing questionnaires to students, including filling in suggestions and input for planning earthquake and tsunami disaster evacuation routes. The results of the questionnaire showed that the Poltekkes students, after the socialization was carried out, already knew the 12 evacuation routes provided. On average, students understand the current condition of the evacuation routes that have been socialized. Students also mostly answered agree from each question given. For questions related to problems encountered during the evacuation process, 63.8% answered that there was congestion at the intersection because each vehicle met from a different direction, 53.2% mixed residents who evacuated with vehicles and people who ran during the evacuation process ongoing, and 29.8% answered that the capacity of the road section exceeded the capacity of the community conducting the evacuation.

Abstract

The improvement of urban road infrastructure is a crucial aspect of development, yet it is often accompanied by environmental impacts that need careful consideration. One of the environmental issues that arises is noise pollution, especially in urban areas experiencing high growth in the transportation sector. The research aims to evaluate the relationship between road service levels and noise levels. The analysis of the data reveals that the highest peak hour volume occurs on Mondays from 12:00 to 12:15, with a value of 133.8 vehicles per hour (vph), followed by Sundays from 16:00 to 16:15 with 130.7 vph. The road capacity reaches 1484.05 vph with a Volume-to-Capacity Ratio (DS) of 0.101 (DS < 0.75), indicating good service levels. The free-flow speed of vehicles on Imam Bonjol street is 34.06 km/h. Overall, the road is categorized at service level B. However, the noise level generated by vehicles around this road is quite high, exceeding the established quality standards ranging from 58 to 63 dB. The highest values occur on weekdays, especially during peak hours, indicating that traffic volume and surrounding activities influence noise levels. Noise exceeding the standard limits can have negative impacts on human health and environmental comfort.

Abstract

AbstractThe earthquake and tsunami disaster that occurred in Aceh Province had a major impact on infrastructure such as infrastructure damage, building collapse, and structural damage to buildings. Lessons from the disaster have changed the public understanding of good and safe building structures, by considering the earthquake-resistant design of building. The scope of this research is related to the selection of the right and safe foundation. This study aims to find out the right steps in deciding to determine which foundation is suitable for use, by considering the safety of the surrounding community. This research is located in the construction of the Batoh Health Center Building in Banda Aceh by looking at the appropriate criteria in determining the alternative choices of the earthquake-resistent design of foundations using the AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process) method. The criteria used in determining alternative foundation selection are economic aspects, implementation aspects, environmental aspects, soil conditions, and field conditions. The types of foundations that are used as an alternative choice are hydraulic jack-in system pile foundations, bored pile foundations, and the foundation of the cobwebs (KSLL). Based on the results of the study, the criteria weight values were from the highest to the lowest order, namely the soil condition aspect 0.51, the economic aspect 0.27, the implementation aspect 0.12, the environmental aspect 0.06, and the field condition aspect 0.04. The alternative choice of the right foundation for use in the construction of the Batoh Health Center UPTD Building in Aceh Province is the cobweb construction foundation (KSLL), with the priority order of the alternative choices namely the Cobweb Foundation (KSLL) 0.58, the drill system pile foundation (Bored Pile) with a weight of 0.22 and the last is the foundation of a hydraulic jack-in system of 0.19Keywords:foundation selection; AHP method; earthquake-resistant.__________________________ AbstrakPengalaman yang telah dialami oleh masyarakat khususnya pada Provinsi Aceh terhadap bencana gempa dan tsunami seperti kerusakan infrastruktur, keruntuhan bangunan dan kerusakan struktural bangunan. Belajar dari pengalaman tersebut, maka telah mengubah pandangan masyarakat dalam penanganan pembangunan struktur bangunan yang baik dan aman, dengan mempertimbangkan kondisi bangunan yang ramah gempa. Maka dari itu dilakukan penelitian mengenai pemilihan pondasi yang tepat dan aman. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana langkah yang tepat dalam mengambil keputusan untuk menentukan pondasi mana yang layak dipakai, dan juga mempertimbangkan keamanan masyarakat disekitar. Lokasi penelitian pada pembangunan Gedung Puskesmas Batoh Banda Aceh dengan melihat kriteria-kriteria yang sesuai dalam menentukan alternatif pilihan pondasi ramah gempa dengan menggunakan metode AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process). Adapun kriteria yang digunakan dalam menentukan alternatif pemilihan pondasi yaitu aspek ekonomis, aspek pelaksanaan, aspek lingkungan, kondisi tanah dan kondisi lapangan. Jenis pondasi yang menjadi alternatif pilihan adalah pondasi tiang pancang sistem hidrolik (hydraulick Jack In), pondasi tiang sistem bor (Bored Pile) dan pondasi Sarang laba-laba (KSLL). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian didapat nilai bobot kriteria dengan urutan paling tinggi hinga paling rendah yaitu kondisi tanah 0,51, aspek ekonomis 0,27, aspek pelaksanaan 0,12, aspek lingkungan 0,06 dan aspek kondisi lapangan 0,04. Abstract

Islam as the religion of rahmatan lil a'alamin has a unique concept in disaster management and is different in disaster management based on contemporary concepts in the initial steps in responding to disasters. Understanding the concept of disaster management is a very important aspect to maintain environmental balance by reducing disaster risk. The aim of this service activity is to increase students' knowledge and skills regarding disaster management from a contemporary and Islamic perspective, as well as increasing students' awareness of the environment as an effort to reduce disaster risk. This effort is carried out by carrying out socialization activities on disaster management from an Islamic perspective to make students care about the environment. Based on the results of this socialization activity, participants understood the material presented by 85%. Socialization about disaster management from an Islamic perspective can be a solution to the weaknesses of disaster management in contemporary concepts.
