JURNAL BADATI diterbitkan oleh Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik, Universitas Kristen Indonesia Maluku. KATA BADATI adalah sebuah nama yang berasal dari kosa-kata bahasa daerah Maluku Tengah, tepatnya masyarakat Ambon dan Lease. Badati, secara singkat, adalah suatu suasana yang tumbuh dan terpelihara bergenerasi dalam keseharian aktivitas bersama secara kekeluargaan di mana setiap orang atau keluarga, baik dalam pendekatan orang per orang, keluarga (baik dalam garis lurus atau menyimpang), atau anak negeri/masyarakat dalam satu negeri/desa, menunjukkan kepeduliannya untuk turut menanggung suatu beban (biasanya secara material) bersama yang sebelumnya tidak bisa ditanggung oleh seseorang atau suatu keluarga. Pilihan nama BADATI mengandung makna filosofi, yakni menunjuk pada upaya untuk mencerdaskan dan memberdayakan orang demi kesejahteraannya (individu, kelompok dan masyarakat) melalui pikiran-pikiran dari hasil penelitian kajian teoritik tidak dapat dilakukan secara sendiri-sendiri tanpa bekerja bersama dengan melibatkan pihak lain sebagai sistem sumber (Jejaring). Di dalam prinsip bekerja bersama itu, secara esensial, bertujuan untuk memandirikan orang (individu, kelompok dan masyarakat) sebagai subyek dengan menggali dan memaksimalkan potensi yang dimilikinya secara bermartabat. BADATI memiliki nomor ISSN 1907-5340 (cetak) diterbitkan secara cetak sejak tahun 2007 dan pada tahun 2019 Jurnal Badati diterbitkan secara online sejak Volume 1 no 1 tahun 2019 dengan no ISSN 2722-3248 (online) oleh Fakultas Ilmu Sosial & Ilmu Politik sampai sekarang. Dengan tujuan untuk mempublikasikan hasil kajian ilmiah dan penelitian dalam bidang ilmu Sosial dan Humaniora. BADATI menerima tulisan berbentuk riset kuantitatif maupun kualitatif dari akademisi, praktisi, peneliti yang relevan dengan topik ilmu sosial dan humaniora. Artikel yang dikirimkan haruslah belum pernah atau tidak sedang dalam proses dimuat pada jurnal lainnya. Artikel yang masuk harus sesuai dengan petunjuk penulisan atau format yang telah ditetapkan. Editor akan menolak artikel yang tidak memenuhi persyaratan tanpa proses lebih lanjut. Artikel yang telah memenuhi persyaratan akan dinilai kelayakannya oleh reviewer melalui proses blind-review. BADATI terbit dua kali dalam satu tahun, April dan November.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of organizational culture, motivation and job satisfaction through commitment to employee performance. This research is an explanatory research conducted for four months, from June to July 2021. The population is 303 people. The sampling technique is proportional stratified random sampling. Determination of the number of samples is based on the sample table developed by Issac and Michael, where if the population is 303 people, then at the 95% confidence level, the sample size is 189 people. Analysis of the data used is path analysis. The results showed that the variables of organizational culture, motivation and job satisfaction through organizational commitment together (simultaneously) had a positive and significant effect on the variable performance of the employees of the Education and Culture Office of Maluku Province.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of interpersonal communication on employee performance. The population used in this study were all 56 employees of the Public Relations and Protocol Bureau of the Maluku Province Regional Secretariat. The method of determining the sample is full sampling. Data were analyzed by multiple linear regression. The results of the study concluded that interpersonal communication in the dimensions of openness, empathy, support, positive feeling and equality had a positive and significant effect on performance, either partially or simultaneously.

Abstract

This study aims to determine, test and analyze the influence of the antecedent factors of leadership, supervision, work environment and commitment to employee discipline at the Lesane Village office, Masohi City, Central Maluku. This study uses a descriptive-quantitative approach with a causal correlation type. The population used in this study were all employees of the Lesane Village Office, Masohi City, Central Maluku, consisting of 27 people. The sample is part of the number and characteristics possessed by the population. The method of determining the sample is full sampling because the population is very small. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis.The results of the study concluded that the antecedents of leadership, supervision, work environment and organizational commitment had a positive and significant effect on employee discipline at the Lesane Village Office, Masohi City, Central Maluku, both partially and simultaneously.

Abstract

This article discusses the role of social capital in local values of indigenous peoples in Maluku, which are located on Seram Island, Ambon Island, and Lease Islands. The main theme of this article is to answer the question of how social capital plays a role in local values that cause local values to exist, be preserved, institutionalized, and used as the basis for survival strategies. The discussion of community sentiment is used to understand the creation of social capital embedded in the structure of local values.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze (1) the effect of communication consisting of vertical, horizontal and diagonal communication on performance and (2) the most dominant variable affecting employee performance at the Education and Training Agency of Maluku Province. The number of samples is determined based on the Kresjie table, where if the population is 231 people, at an error rate of 10%, the number of samples is 125 people, which is determined by simple random sampling. Data were analyzed by multiple linear regression. The results showed that (1) vertical, horizontal and diagonal communication together had a positive and significant effect on the performance of the Education and Training Agency employees of Maluku Province by 78.9% and (2) horizontal communication was the most dominant variable affecting the performance of the Education and Training Agency employees. Maluku Province is 64.9%.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the consumption behavior of clove farming households as well as the economic variables that influence savings from the harvest of dried clove commodities by farming households. Consumption in this research is the clove harvest that is sold and the results for consumption and savings in this research are abstracted as postponed consumption. To analyze the relationships and choices made by farming households in research using an intertemporal model. The main variables in this research are the amount of clove savings, the commodity price of cloves at harvest, the price of cloves in the future, clove income at harvest time, estimated future clove income, future consumption. This research uses primary data through questionnaires and in-depth interviews. The sample was taken based on purposive random sampling of 96 farmers who owned clove plantation land in Haruku Village. To analyze the magnitude of the influence of the independent variable on the dependent variable, cross-section regression was used using the Eviews tool. The research results show that the price variables at harvest, the estimated price of cloves in the future, and future consumption affect the clove savings of farmer households.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kepribadian dan disiplin terhadap kinerja karyawan melalui kompetensi karyawan. Pendekatan penelitian adalah penelitian eksplanatori dengan mengumpulkan data penampang melalui angket. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh pegawai di Dinas Sosial Provinsi Maluku sebanyak 93 orang dan yang menggunakan sampel jenuh. Analisis menggunakan analisis jalur dengan bantuan SPSS 23.00. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi memediasi pengaruh kepribadian dan disiplin terhadap kinerja karyawan.

Abstract

This research aims to ; (1) to find out the profiles of Tanimbar Weaving Craftsmen and (2) to find out the strategy for developing the Tanimbar Weaving Craftsmen in Ambon City. This research is a case study research with descriptive research type. Descriptive research is intended for exploration and clarification of social phenomena or realities, by describing a number of variables relating to the problem under study. The results showed that; (1) the Tanimbar Weaving Craftsmen has a large enough potential to be developed as one of the potential empowerment of craftsmen in Ambon City, (2) the strategy for empowering craftsmen through developing the potential for the Tanimbar Weaving Craftsmen can be carried out through the empowerment process which includes; (a) awareness, (b) organizing, (c). resource delivery.

Abstract

This research discusses the Kololi Kie ritual process, a traditional ceremony of the Sultanate of Ternate, in terms of symbolic interaction theory. The Sultanate of Ternate, as an integral part of Indonesia's cultural heritage, carries outthis ritual as a form of symbolic interaction with the people of Ternate. Symbols such as boats, traditional clothing,traditional music, and historical places are used in rituals to communicate with the community and convey certain meanings and messages. This research uses a qualitative approach with literature studies, exploring supporting sourcesregarding the Kololi Kie ritual process and symbolic interaction theory. The research results show that symbols such as boats, traditional music and historical places play an important role in creating meaning and building relationships between the Sultanate of Ternate and its people. These symbols are also a means of conveying messages aboutprotection, safety and gratitude. In the context of symbolic interaction theory, symbolic communication in the Kololi Kie ritual reflects the community's collective meaning of the greatness of the sultanate and the importance of maintaining ancestral traditions. It is hoped that the results of this research can contribute to further understanding of the role of symbols in cultural rituals and how these symbols play a role in maintaining and passing on cultural valuesfrom one generation to the next.

Abstract

This study aims to influence organizational characteristics, competence and disciplineon employee performance. This type of research is a descriptive and associative approach.Based on this opinion, the population in this study were all 86 of employees of Bappeda SouthBuru Regency. Determination of the number of samples is based on a sample table developedby Issac and Michael, where if a population of 86 people, then at a 5% confidence level, thenumber of samples is determined as much as 79. Data were analyzed by SEM LISREL. Theresults showed that (1) organizational characteristics had a positive and significant effect onemployee performance as seen from the path coefficient that was positive at 0.37 with a t valueof 2.25 1.96. The biggest factor load value for organizational characteristics variable isresources, (2) competence has a positive and significant effect on employee performance asseen from the path coefficient that is positive at 0.60 with a t value of 2.32 1.96. The variablesthat contribute to the formation of competency latent variables are self-concept with a factorload of 0.68, meaning that to improve employee competence, it is necessary to improve theawareness of self-concept, (3) discipline has a positive and significant effect on employeeperformance as seen from path coefficient which is positive is 0.47 with a value of t value 2.671.96. The variables that contribute to the formation of disciplinary latent variables arecompliance by 0.67, which means that employee discipline can be seen from the level ofcompliance with regulations and to superiors.
