Abstract

Lack of understanding mathematical concepts that students accept will lead to low student learning outcomes. Teachers as a learning resource are obliged to provide a creative learning environment for students in the classroom.  One of the activities that must be carried out by the teacher is selecting and determining appropriate media for learning.  The objective of this research to determine improved learning outcomes in calculating the area of flat shape using potbangtar media.  This research uses two rounds of action research.  Each round consists of 4 stages, namely design, activity, observation, reflection, and revision.  The data obtained are in the form of evaluation test results, observation sheets of teaching and learning activities.  From the results of data analysis found that student learning outcomes increased from cycle I to cycle II, from 75.61 to 80.49 and student learning completeness also increased from cycle I (85.37%) to cycle II to (95.12%)  ).  We can conclude that the usage of potbangtar media to calculate the area of the flat shape is very effective so that the learning outcomes of the fifth-grade students of SDN MIJI 4, Mojokerto increase.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to analyze the profile of digital literacy and student collaboration skills in the online science learning on chapter Interaction of Living Things with the Environment. This research was a descriptive qualitative and conducted from October to November 2019. The instruments were a questionnaire and observation sheet. Both instruments are used to measure the level of digital literacy and collaboration skills. The results obtained were that the students' digital literacy levels were divided into three categories, namely high 69%, medium 18%, and low 13%. Meanwhile, the level of student collaboration skills is also divided into three categories, namely high 72%, medium 23%, and low 7%. The indicators and the item questions from the questionnaires and from the observation sheets can be used as a basis for further research. The conclusion of this research is the digital literacy skill and collaborative skill in the high level with the score of questionnaires and observation sheet.

Abstract

This paper in the form of classroom action research aims to improve the mathematics learning achievement of grade 6 students at SD Negeri 02 Penakir by using the train props for volume units. The learning improvement setting is for grade 6 students in the 1st semester of Mathematics at SD Negeri 02 Penakir, Pemalang Regency where the researcher teaches. This classroom action research consists of 2 cycles in one basic competency. During the learning process, observations were made on the performance of the teacher as a researcher, and an assessment was made of students through test sheets. Other findings during the learning process were discussed between the researcher and the observer, equipped with data from observations made by reflection at each meeting. The results of the research in the first cycle and the second cycle showed an increase in student learning achievement. The results of the assessment of student learning achievement are the First cycle: 70.8 with 68% learning completeness, in the second cycle: 82 with 88% learning completeness. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the learning process using the volume unit train props in mathematics can improve the learning outcomes of students in Class 6 SD Negeri 02 Penakir, Pemalang Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the skill of student’s SMP Negeri 14 Makassar of computational thinking on online learning using PhET simulation. This study applied classroom action research (PTK).  Planning, action, observe and reflect in two cycles were employed. This study engaged grade IX students in the 2020/2021 academic year on Dynamic Electricity. The instrument that was used were observation and tests. The result showed that Computational Thinking using PhET simulation has achieved the target according to the indicators. The increasing from first cycle to second cycle was 53.84%. Therefore, it can be concluded that science studies using PhET simulation improved students' Computational Thinking.

Abstract

These classroom action research aims: To improve student learning outcomes using Powtakon kardus media. The research setting was grade V students of SDN 2 Kembang Jepara for the 2019/2020 academic year. This study consisted of 2 cycles in one basic competency. The research begins with compiling a lesson plan, making observation sheets and other research instruments. During the learning process, observations were made on the performance of the teacher as a researcher, and an assessment was made of students through test sheets. Other findings during the learning process were discussed between the researcher and the observer, equipped with data from observations made by reflection at each meeting. The results of research in cycle 1 and cycle 2 showed an increase in student learning outcomes. The student learning outcomes are in cycle 1 an average of 66.33 with learning completeness 40%, in cycle 2 an average of 81.27 with learning completeness 86.67%. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the learning process using powtakon kardus media can improve student learning outcomes in Class V SDN 2 Kembang Jepara for the 2019/2020 academic year.

Abstract

This school action research aims to improve the 4C skills (critical thinking, creativity, communication, creativity and innovation, collaboration) of teachers with digital literacy application activities at SMP Negeri 1 Sidoharjo. The research setting was the subject teacher at SMP Negeri 1 Sidoharjo in the 2020/2021 school year. As research subjects are teachers, the principal at the junior high school is a researcher and assisted by an observer. This study consisted of 2 cycles. During the application of digital literacy activities, observations were made of teacher performance through observation, sociometry, and questionnaire sheets. Other findings during the course of the action were discussed between the researcher and the observer, equipped with data from the observations that were carried out by reflection in each cycle. The results of the study in cycle 1 and cycle 2 showed an increase in the 4C skills of teachers. The results of observations, sociometry, and questionnaires on the 4C skills of the teacher showed that in cycle 1 the average critical thinking score was 76%, creativity 76%, communication 75%, creativity and innovation 76%, 76% collaboration on good criteria and in cycle 2 average critical thinking score 87%, creativity 85%, communication 86%, creativity, and innovation, collaboration 84% on very good criteria.

Abstract

This study aims to describe Make A Match based on dart game with paper chain to improve learning outcomes of Christian Religious Education's students at class VIII D in SMPN 13 Surakarta of Even Semester Academic Year 2019/2020. The subjects of this study were students of class VIII D SMPN 13 Surakarta in the 2019/2020, totaling 6 childresn. This research is a Classroom Action Research to improve the quality lerning in the classroom. Data was collected through observation, tests, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out to make conclusions and descriptions of the data based on the conditions as they were. The result showed that make a match based on dart game with paper chain can improve learning outcomes in the first cycle of action. The percentage of results in action cycle I and II wihich values above the KKM before action is 4 children or 66,67% becomes 3 children or 50%in action cycle I and 1 children or 16,67% in action cycle II.

Abstract

This study aims to create a practical tool for hydrostatic pressure material, increasing student motivation, and learning outcomes. The lack of student motivation, namely the desire to learn science subjects and the learning outcomes of hydrostatic pressure material is caused by several factors, one of which is the lack of teaching aids or practical tools for hydrostatic pressure material. The study was conducted using a one-group pre-test – post-test trial design, while the development of the Egg Cannon Kit used the ASSURE model which consisted of 6 stages, namely Analyzer learner characteristic, (2) State standard and performance objective, (3) Select methods, Media, and materials, (4) Utilize technology, media, and materials, (5) Require learner participation and (6) Evaluation and revision. The research on the development of the Egg Cannon Kit was tested on 8E grade students consisting of 32 students with heterogeneous compositions. The use of the Egg Cannon Kit in learning can increase students' learning motivation in this case the student's desire to learn about science subjects, especially hydrostatic pressure material by 43.36% and increase learning outcomes with an average n-gain of 0.8 in the high category.

Abstract

Critical thinking is an essential skill that students must have to face the challenges of the 21st century. The low critical thinking skills’ problem is caused by student's internal factors and the learning process doesn't prioritize the development of thinking skills. This study aims to determine the effect of learning media adventure educational games assisted by online tests with the content of higher order thinking skill (HOTS) questions on critical thinking skills. The method in this study is a pre-experiment with One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The research subjects were class VIIIE at SMPN 1 Tegallalang in the 2019/2020 academic year, with 36 total students. Data collection critical thinking skills using essay tests. The data research analyzed using paired samples test, with the requirement that data normal distributed and homogeneous. The results of the normality and homogeneity test, obtained at a significant level of more than 0,05. So that the data for critical thinking skills normally distributed and homogeneous. The increase in critical thinking skills from the N-Gain analysis of 0,643 in the medium category. Based on the results of the paired samples test, the value of Sig. was obtained (2-tailed) of 0,000 < 0,05, which can be concluded that the use of the adventure educational game assisted the HOTS online test has a significant effect towards students’ critical thinking skills

Abstract

Conventional learning makes students quickly bored and not interested in taking part in learning optimally. This can lead to low student activity and participation in learning. The problem is how the discovery learning model can activate students and improve their learning outcomes? The purpose of this study was to (1) increase learning activities in magnetic material through learning with the discovery learning model in class IXE students of SMP N 2 Pringapus in the 2019/2020 academic year; (2) increase learning outcomes in magnetic materials through discovery learning models in class IXE students of SMP N 2 Pringapus in the 2019/2020 academic year.The results showed that learning with the discovery learning model can increase student learning activities through participation in learning by 85.83%, an increase in learning activities by 40.83%, and can improve student learning outcomes in class IXE in the academic year of SMP N 2 Pringapus in 2019/2020. amounted to 24.59%.
