Abstract

Activity-based learning is a student-centered learning process that involves mental and psychological aspects through a variety of experiences. This study used GAPTEK visualization, namely physical activities of lining, cutting, pasting, and calculating. The purpose of this study was to describe how activity-based learning of fraction operation material using GAPTEK visualization, to find out how much the percentage of student positive responses, and the effectiveness of the learning in grade 7 students of SMP Negeri 3 Kepil. The research method uses quasi-experimental research with data collection in the form of learning outcomes tests, observations and questionnaires. A significance value of 0.895> 0.05 indicates that the two groups are normally distributed and homogeneous. The significance value of the difference is 0.569> 0.05 which indicates that there is no difference between the pretest mean of the control and experimental groups. The learning description shows that students are actively involved in group discussions and share roles. The average percentage of students' positive responses related to activity-based learning about fraction operations using GAPTEK visualization was 95.3%. Activity-based learning has been effectively used, which is shown by the experimental class average of 74.33 exceeding the value of 70.00, and exceeding the average control class, namely 56.00. The difference in the increase in the average pretest and posttest experimental class was 37.33, more than the difference in the control class of 21.00.

Abstract

Learning during the Covid-19 pandemic did not allow face-to-face implementation. The Ministry of Education and Culture issued circular number 4 of 2020 concerning home learning (belajar dari rumah/ BDR). The limitations that teachers have in mastering information technology are an obstacle in implementing bdr. lack of mobile phone facilities (gadgets) is another problem in implementing bdr. This obstacle is the main problem in implementing religious extracurricular activities. This problem is overcome by the application of WhatsApp-based blended learning. with the involvement of colleagues, the mastery of information technology for learning is increasing. teachers are not tech-savvy. Finally, the implementation of bdr in the implementation of religious extracurricular activities can run well.

Abstract

Students with special needs at Tunjung 1 Public Elementary School have limited social interaction, verbal and emotional communication. Need to be trained in society to be given good opportunities, through special education services. Learning facilities that attract his attention need to be created, in order to help him socialize, play together without being disturbed, and can improve his academic achievement. For this reason, the writer created the "Wheel Tower". The goal is to empower students with special needs children with autism and improve academic achievement, especially in number patterns. These media are designed to be used jointly, and  individually. This media is in the form of stacked wheels that are arranged together, forming a flat shape (square, triangle, rectangle) from the large to the small one that resembles a tower. The shape of the tower shows a number pattern from small to large. From the learning process and results the use of "wheel towers" can empower students with special needs autistic children with regular children and can improve their academic achievement, especially in number patterns.

Abstract

Learning at SD N 6 Getas in a pandemic condition is carried out online, but the activeness of students in learning is low which causes student learning outcomes to be low, so it is necessary to research the application of live worksheets in the flipped learning model to improve student learning outcomes. The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in student learning outcomes and to know the implementation of learning by applying a live worksheet to the flipped learning model. This research is a classroom action research with the subjects of this research are students in grade 5 SD N 6 Getas, Kec. Singorojo Kendal academic year 2020/2021. This research in the subject of action is mathematics material building space. The research instruments included teacher observation sheets, students, test questions, and documentation. The results of this study are the application of a live worksheet in the flipped learning model can improve student learning outcomes, this is evidenced by the increase in learning outcomes in cycle 1 and cycle 2. In cycle 1 achieved 75% classical completeness with an average of 75, and cycle 2 reached 84% with an average of 80.5. The conclusion of this study is that the application of a live worksheet in the flipped learning model can improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

The rapid development of informatics and computer (ICT) techniques has an impact on education today. On the other hand, the changing paradigm of education that used to embrace teacher-centered learning into student-centered learning has brought significant changes to the learning methods developed today. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of problem-based learning models assisted by Edmodo social networking site on critical thinking skill and student learning outcomes. This research was conducted in class VIII of SMP Negeri 6 Jepara in the odd semester of 2019/2020 Academic Year on the material of pressure and its application in daily life. The research design used was the pre-test and post-test control group design. Data retrieval is done by observation, documentation and tests. The results showed that the value of tcount  critical thinking skills and student learning outcomes > ttable value (1.99). The value of tcount critical thinking skills and learning outcomes respectively is 11.12 and 2.757. The result of this study concluded that the problem based learning model supported by Edmodo’s social networking site is effective to improve critical thinking skills and students learning outcomes.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the empowerment of learning media google meet as one of the remote learning tools that can increase the motivation of students' learning during the covid-19 pandemic. This research is a descriptive quarative research. Data collection techniques are conducted with observations, interviews, and questionnaires on the use of Google Meet media. This research was conducted in grade V of SDN Minggiran I, Kediri Regency. Data analysis techniques are performed with Milles & Huberman interactive analysis. The results showed that the application of Google Meet media in distance learning activities during the covid-19 pandemic had a positive impact on students' learning motivation. This shows that Google Meet media provides benefits for teachers and students because of the teaching and learning process that can interact directly so as to make online learning more practical and effective. This direct interaction also increases the involvement and activeness of students during online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to see the difference in the influence of the Snowball Throwing model, conventional models and students' interest in learning on learning outcomes. This type of research is a quasi-experimental research using a quantitative approach. The population was all fourth grade students of the Gugus III Public Elementary School, Lembah Melintang District, while the sample consisted of 42 grade IV students at the 02 Lembah Melintang Elementary School. 21 students in the experimental class and 21 students in the control class. Data from research results obtained from student learning outcomes tests. The ratio of X1 and X2 to Y is 16.25%, while the percentage ratio of X2 a and X2 b to Y is 16.82%. The results show that there is an influence of the Snowball Throwing model and interest in learning outcomes of Social Sciences in class IV Elementary School 02 Lembah Melintang.

Abstract

The aims of using Hypnotist balls in 5M is to increase the students’ ordinal number reading competency and students’ activeness in the learning process. Hypnotist balls is a hypnoteaching communication medium implementation. While, 5M is a scientific approach that concists of observing, questioning, data collecting, associating, and communicating. This research uses classroom Action Research method which is designed by Stephen Kemmis dan Robyn Mc. Taggart that is acted in two cycles. Each cycle concists of planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The result of the research shows that by using hypnotist balls, the students’ ordinal numbers reading increases 38,35%. The students’ learning activeness also increases 17.24%. Hypnotist balls in 5M helps the students’ learning process very much.

Abstract

The use of Table 3X3 is one way that mathematics teachers can make it easy for students to understand the quadratic factoring concept. The aim of this research is to describe the learning process using Table 3X3 which can improve the understanding of the quadratic factoring concept of class VIII G students of SMP Negeri 1 Jepara. This research is a classroom action research which is carried out in two cycles. Each cycle consists of four components, namely: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The results showed that the use of Table 3X3 can improve understanding of the quadratic factoring concept as indicated by an average test score of 16.39 or 24.38% in end cycle, from an average score of 67.29 in the first cycle to 83, 68 in the second cycle and the achievement value of 75 is from 58.33% in the first cycle to 72.22% in the second cycle. Thus it can be concluded that the use of Table 3X3 can improve the understanding of the quadratic factoring concept.

Abstract

This research is about the integration of Computational Thinking (CT) in the EDP STEM learning model using SimSketch modeling to improve students' critical thinking skills on the concept of the excretory system. SimSketch is a drawing and modeling tool. The research subjects were 8th graders. The research instruments were student worksheets and CT-integrated learning plans through SimSketch modeling, critical thinking skills tests, and questionnaires for students. This study found that the integration of CT with SimSketch modeling can be implemented in learning the concept of the excretory system. The findings of this study are that the integration of CT with SimSketch modeling can be implemented to increase motivation and demand for learning and students' critical thinking skills.
