Abstract

The performance of Government Employees with Work Agreements (PPPK) is a crucial factor in supporting the effectiveness of government administration and public services. However, the performance of full-time PPPK within the Banten Provincial Government remains suboptimal, particularly in terms of timely completion of work and achievement of work targets. This situation is thought to be influenced by innovation capacity, training, and leadership skills. This study aims to analyze the effect of Innovation Capacity and Training on the Performance of Full-Time PPPK Employees within the Banten Provincial Government, with Leadership Skills as an intervening variable. The study used a quantitative approach using a survey method. The study population was 1,061 employees, with a sample of 250 respondents determined using proportional stratified random sampling. Data analysis was performed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with the assistance of SmartPLS software. The results of the study indicate that Innovation Capacity has a positive and significant effect on Employee Performance (β = 0.359; p < 0.05), Training (β = 0.217; p < 0.05), and Leadership Skills (β = 0.425; tp < 0.05). Furthermore, Leadership Skills have been shown to positively and significantly mediate the relationship between Innovation Capacity and Training on Employee Performance. The study concludes that continuously improving Innovation Capacity, Training, and Leadership Skills can improve the performance of Full-Time PPPK Employees in the Banten Provincial Government.

Abstract

The development of social media has changed the pattern of marketing communication, one of which is through a soft selling strategy based on implicit advertising that displays products subtly as part of the audience's content, lifestyle, and daily experience. This study aims to analyze the influence of soft selling strategies based on implicit advertising d'Alba Spray Serum on the buying interest of Generation Z in Padang City, with lifestyle and brand image as mediating variables. This study uses an associative quantitative approach with a sample of 174 Generation Z respondents in Padang City who were selected through purposive sampling techniques, namely respondents who actively use social media and have been exposed to soft selling content of d'Alba products but have never made a purchase transaction. Data was collected through a five-point Likert scale questionnaire and analyzed using the Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method with the help of SmartPLS software. The results of the study show that the soft selling strategy based on implicit advertising has a positive and significant effect on buying interest, lifestyle, and brand image. Lifestyle and brand image have also been proven to have a positive and significant effect on buying interest, and significantly mediate the influence of implicit advertising-based soft selling strategies on buying interest. These findings confirm the importance of an implicit marketing communication approach in building lifestyle perceptions and brand image to drive buying interest in Generation Z.

Abstract

The high operational demands of the Free Nutritional Meal Program (MBG) which have the potential to increase workload, burnout, work stress, and employees' desire to leave the organization are the background to this study. This study aims to analyse the influence of workload and burnout on turnover intention through work stress as a mediating variable on Nutrition Fulfilment Service Unit officers in Anyer District, Serang Regency. This study employed a quantitative approach with a survey method. The study population comprised all SPPG officers in Anyer District, with a sample size of 202 respondents determined using proportionate random sampling. Data collection was conducted through a questionnaire that met validity and reliability tests. Data analysis used Structural Equation Modelling based on Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) to examine the direct and indirect effects between variables. The results showed that workload had a positive and significant effect on turnover intention (β = 0.197; t = 2.461; p = 0.014) and job stress (β = 0.356; t = 4.787; p < 0.001). Burnout also had a positive and significant effect on turnover intention (β = 0.296; t = 3.768; p < 0.001) and job stress (β = 0.581; t = 9.047; p < 0.001). Furthermore, job stress had a positive and significant effect on turnover intention (β = 0.434; t = 5.361; p < 0.001). The indirect effect test showed that job stress significantly mediated the effect of workload on turnover intention (β = 0.154; t = 3.886; p < 0.001) and mediated the effect of burnout on turnover intention (β = 0.252; t = 4.384; p < 0.001). Thus, all research hypotheses were accepted. This study concludes that increased workload and burnout, both directly and through work stress, can increase the turnover intention of SPPG officers. Burnout is the factor that has the greatest influence on work stress (β = 0.581), while work stress is proven to be a mediating mechanism that strengthens the influence of workload and burnout on turnover intention. These findings imply that workload management, burnout prevention, and work stress control need to be a priority in human resource management strategies at SPPG to retain employees, improve work welfare, and ensure the sustainability of the Free Nutritional Meal Program.

Abstract

The research is motivated by suboptimal employee performance, persistent service inefficiencies, and uneven implementation of digitalization. Therefore, a model capable of explaining the relationship between variables is needed to improve the quality of health services. This study aims to analyze the influence of health service management and leadership on employee performance, with digitalization as a mediating variable, at public health centers in Serang Regency. The study employed a quantitative approach with explanatory research methods. The study population comprised civil servants at 15 inpatient public health centers (Puskesmas) in Serang Regency. The sample size was determined using proportionate random sampling, with 170 respondents. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) through outer model and inner model testing, as well as direct and indirect hypothesis testing. The results of the study indicate that all constructs have met the validity and reliability criteria. The coefficient of determination shows that digitalization can be explained by service management and leadership by 80.4%, while employee performance is explained by 76.3%. Hypothesis testing proves that service management has a positive and significant effect on employee performance and digitalization, leadership has a positive and significant effect on employee performance and digitalization, and digitalization has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. In addition, digitalization is proven to significantly mediate the influence of service management and leadership on employee performance. This study concludes that improving the performance of Community Health Center employees is not only determined by the quality-of-service management and leadership, but also by the effective implementation of digitalization. These findings offer practical implications for Community Health Center managers to strengthen digital transformation, improve the quality-of-service management, and develop adaptive leadership to achieve more effective, efficient, and community-oriented health services.

Abstract

At PT. Bersama Era Sentosa Tama, a distribution business operating out of Lumajang, East Java, a three-year decline in sales-target achievement raised questions about whether training and recruitment practices in the marketing division were keeping pace with what the job required. This paper sets out to test that link empirically. Fifty marketing-division staff the entire population, surveyed through Google Forms rather than a sample supplied the data behind a quantitative, cause-and-effect analysis processed with SmartPLS under the SEM-PLS framework. Reliability and validity checks cleared every threshold: outer loadings stayed above 0.70, AVE above 0.50, and Composite Reliability above 0.70 across all constructs. Where the two predictors diverged was in their statistical weight. Training moved the needle on performance in a way that held up under testing (path coefficient 0.529, t = 2.900, p = 0.004); recruitment pointed the same direction but fell short of significance (path coefficient 0.201, t = 0.878, p = 0.381). Combined, training and recruitment account for just under half the variance observed in performance (R² = 0.499). The practical takeaway: training carries more weight than recruitment in moving marketing-division performance, so recruitment gains are best treated as a starting point rather than an endpoint, with ongoing development picking up where hiring leaves off.

Abstract

Turnover among sales division employees at a used vehicle trading company in Surabaya has climbed steadily over the past threee years, mirrrored by a parallel rise in employee absenteeism during the same period. This condition is presumed to be linked to the work pressure carried by sales personnel and a decline in compliance with workplace rules. This study was designed to examine the influence of workload and work discipline on employees’ turnover intention within that sakes division. An associative quantitative approach was applied census (saturated sampling) technique. The collected data were then processed with Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) using, SmartPKS software. The results show that workload has a positive and significant effect on turnover intention, whereas work discipline shows a negative direction of influence that is not yet satistically significant. Together, both variables account for 30,3% of the variance in turnover intention. These findings suggest that managing working time demands should become a priority for the company in curbing employess intention to leave, while reinforcing compliance with working hours remains worth maintaining as a supporting, though not dominant, factor in employee retention.

Abstract

The implementation of the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) Program as a national strategic policy has created new challenges related to fraud risk in public-sector logistics and budget management. The large-scale implementation of the program, rapid financial transactions, and complex food supply chains may create opportunities for fraudulent practices. However, empirical studies examining the determinants of fraud risk in the context of the MBG Program remain limited. This study aims to empirically examine the effects of pressure, opportunity, and capability on fraud risk in the MBG Program in the KPPG Bogor area. A quantitative approach with a causal-comparative research design was employed using a survey method. The research population consisted of volunteers, administrative staff, and technical personnel directly involved in the implementation and distribution of the MBG Program in the KPPG Bogor area. Respondents were selected using purposive sampling based on predetermined inclusion criteria. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling based on Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS. The results indicate that opportunity and capability have positive and significant effects on fraud risk, with capability demonstrating the strongest effect. In contrast, pressure does not have a significant effect on fraud risk. These findings indicate that fraud risk in the MBG Program is more strongly associated with the availability of opportunities and the capabilities of individuals to exploit weaknesses in the control system than with economic or performance-related pressure. The study highlights the importance of strengthening internal controls, access authorization, logistics monitoring, and technology-based reporting systems to mitigate fraud risk in the implementation of the MBG Program.

Abstract

This study examines leadership style, organizational culture, and competence as predictors of employee performance at the Department of Education, Youth, and Sports of Baubau City. A quantitative explanatory design was employed involving all 65 civil servants as respondents through saturated sampling. Data were collected using a structured five-point Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed with multiple linear regression using IBM SPSS Statistics. The results show that leadership style, organizational culture, and competence jointly form a significant model of employee performance, F(3,61) = 62.536, p < .001, explaining 75.5% of the variance in performance (R² = .755; adjusted R² = .743). Individually, leadership style (β = .067, p = .476) and organizational culture (β = .067, p = .518) do not significantly predict employee performance. In contrast, competence has a positive and significant contribution (β = .797, p < .001) and emerges as the strongest predictor. These findings indicate that improving employee performance should prioritize competence development, particularly knowledge, skills, adaptability, work attitudes, and continuous learning, while leadership and organizational culture remain important organizational supports.
