Abstract

Sidomulyo Village is one of the villages in Anggana District, Kutai Kartanegara Regency, East Kalimantan. To alleviate poverty in Sidomulyo Village, many millennial farmers have emerged, one of which is the Independent Farmer Youth Group with rice as a potential commodity. One of the agricultural products from this group is rice with several varieties including Mikongga and Mayas Rapak with each harvest reaching 3-4 tons/ha. The rice produced is very abundant but does not yet have a brand and label on the packaging. Based on this condition, the solution that can be offered to the Mandiri Tani Pemuda Group is training in making labels on plastic packaging for rice using manual screen-printing techniques. The method used is the lecture method and training in manual screen printing for plastic packaging for rice. The result of this training is that all participants can make rice packaging labels by manual screen printing.

Abstract

The economy of Salo Palai Village local communities, Muara Badak District, Kutai Kertanegara Regency, relies on plantations, livestock and marine and land fisheries. One of the superior plantation products in Salo Palai Village is pepper commodity. However, there are problems faced including the method of processing pepper is traditional, lack of technology and does not consider quality and cleanliness standards. To reach the world market, it is necessary to pay attention to the quality requirements and consumer tastes. For this reason, the community service aims to improve the quality of pepper in terms of post-harvest processing through assistance in the use of pepper grinders in order to produce pepper powder that provides added value and meets established quality standards. This community service is carried out with workshops covering technology transfer and assistance in the use of pepper grinders, which are expected to open new knowledge and skills for farmers. The results obtained that the local community of Salo Palai Village were able to operate a pepper grinder and were able to produce pepper powder in accordance with the quality standards.

Abstract

Preparation of Jembayan Tengah Village towards an agro-tourism area based on agriculture and a creative economy is one of the priorities. BUMDes DJT Berjaya in collaboration with the Tourism Awareness Group (POKDARWIS) Kampong Seraong to create a sustainable Jembayan Tengah Tourism Village. In terms of organizational governance, BUMDes DJT Berjaya is in crisis, but this organization is open to restructuring management by the community who are committed to advancing the village. This service program is focused on BUMDes management training to improve the governance system and classify business units. In addition, training on the creation and management of village websites was carried out as a first step in digitizing which will work together with kutaicoding.com. The results are an increase in the quality of organizational governance for BUMDes and POKDARWIS as well as the creation of a website that contains profiles, organizational activities and complaint features.

Abstract

The Community Service aims to empower the local potential of Paser Regency through the development and application of science and technology in the food sector. The partners are the Forest Farmers Group (KTH) and the Tahura Lati Petangis Farmer Women's Group (KWT) of Paser Regency. The main problem is that the potential of toman fish (Channa micropeltes) has not been maximized to become feature products and unique processed products of the Paser regency. The method used to achieve the objective is training and mentoring in the manufacture of shredded toman fish through tutorials and demonstrations. The result shows that the partners have understood and have entrepreneurial skills, especially shredded toman fish. At the end of the activity, the service team donated floss production equipment.

Abstract

One of the businesses that is currently starting to develop in Pela Village is the salted fish business. However, the income of the Pela Village community is very low. One of the contributing factors is the lack of promotions carried out to promote their products in the market. Based on these problems, this community service aims to train the Pela Village community in marketing salted fish products through digital marketing. The PkM team facilitates computers for people who do not have personal computers. This program is carried out through counseling and workshop methods. The results show that partners have succeeded in creating layouts for their product sales promotions digitally and posted on marketplaces and social media. Through the available promotion media, it is hoped that they can increase the sales.

Abstract

Culture in East Kalimantan has many varieties that are increasingly disappearing if conservation efforts are not carried out both by the community, agencies/institutions, especially in schools/campuses that are in direct contact with matters of culture. One of the cultures that is currently of concern is the culture of the Dayak Kenyah community in the Pampang cultural village, Samarinda. Besides being a cultural heritage, Pampang village is also an asset for tourism and education for local communities and foreign tourists. The condition of the lamin building which is getting old requires special attention for maintenance or design updates while maintaining the philosophical aspects of the local culture. Therefore, this community service activity focuses on developing traditional lamin designs in the Pampang cultural village. The methods used are literacy assessment, drawing/design making, lecture/concept presentation, discussion, and evaluation. The results of this activity are in the form of products and services, working drawings and mockups of the redesign of traditional lamin buildings which are expected to contribute to the preservation of the original culture of East Kalimantan.

Abstract

Salo Palai Village is one of the villages in Kutai Kartanegara Regency, East Kalimantan which has the superior commodity of pepper 'Malonan'. Pepper land in Salo Palai Village reaches 169 ha with a productivity of 1.9 tons/ha. The pepper harvest is sold in granular form at a price of IDR 30,000.00/kg and there is no product diversification, such as pepper powder. This is what makes there is no increase in the selling value of pepper that has been produced by farmers. Community service activities in the marketing of powder pepper are expected to be an effort to provide an understanding of the importance of product diversification as an effort to increase selling value. The methods used are tutoring and training. This activity results the pepper powder products in packaged bottles with labels, which are expected to increase values.

Abstract

This community is in the form of training to answer accounting questions using the MANAGER software. The training participants are students of SMAN 8, majoring in social studies and science, who are chosen by the accounting teacher. In carrying out the activities, participants consisted of teachers as well as tutor groups by 13%, students majoring in science by 27% and students majoring in social studies by 60%. The questions in this training are accounting questions consisting of workshops, housing developers and courier service companies. The result of this training is that all students stated that they felt they understood accounting better and learned more fun in answering questions. However, 72% of students stated that they have never used accounting software. In addition, 34% stated that sometimes they understand and sometimes do not understand accounting material.

Abstract

Tahura Lati Petangis is a forest park located in Paser Regency, East Kalimantan Province, with the management area in Batu Engau District. Tahura Lati Petangis area has a water source in the form of a lake that can be used to fulfill water resources for the surrounding area. In addition, there are also types of toman fish that have a large enough potential to be exploited. Toman fish is processed into one type of food in the form of shredded. Shredded products will be more valuable in the market if their quality and safety are guaranteed in accordance with SNI quality requirements. This service activity aims to assist community groups around the Tahura area by testing the shredded products. Through this service activity, the quality and safety of shredded toman fish products is maintained for the market, so as to increase the market value of the product. The test results showed that the shredded toman fish had met SNI standards and were free from microbial and metal contamination.
