Abstract

Bogani Nani Wartabone National Park (TNBNW) is a national park located in the Bone Bolango Regency, Gorontalo Province. Within this national park, there is the Pinogu sub-district, which possesses high-potential commodities, namely coffee and cattle. However, access to the sub-district is relatively difficult, resulting in Pinogu not fully utilizing its resources, particularly in the livestock sector. Considering that Pinogu is an organic area, all products originating from Pinogu should adhere to organic standards. To support this assertion, there is a need for organic certification from official institutions. Therefore, assistance was provided to help prepare organic cattle certification for Pinogu livestock groups, enabling them to obtain organic cattle certification from official institutions through outreach, document collection, and interviews. The outcome of this program is the necessary documentation and data required to meet the organic cattle certification requirements.

Abstract

The Borobudur Temple is one of Indonesia’s tourist destinations, which has long been famous among local and foreign tourists. The Indonesian government has even designated the Borobudur compound as a super-priority tourist destination. This community service activity was conducted to build the capacities of young people in some villages around the Borobudur Temple area. This activity aimed to improve the soft skills of young people. More specifically, it was designed to guide them to be aware of themselves and their communities, gain the skills to communicate with others, identify and map the potentials and challenges in their communities, and develop action plans for their communities. This program was carried out in the form of a workshop, adapting the active citizen modules developed by the British Council. The participants claimed that this workshop was useful for them, especially in making them more confident, helping them realize their existence, increasing their ability to communicate with others and build networks with people from different backgrounds, enhancing their understanding of their community and environments, and raising their motivation in making positive social changes.

This community service initiative leverages modern technology to enhance the efficiency and quality of AsSalwa honey production, as well as to improve the management of honey product sales. The method involves disseminating the use of filling machines and financial management systems. This program offers multiple benefits, including increased productivity in honey filling, maintaining a more consistent product quality, and providing access to accurate and detailed sales data through a Point of Sale (POS) system. The results obtained from this program demonstrate that honey owners can automatically fill honey into various packaging sizes using a filling machine. This machine is capable of filling liquid honey ranging from 100g to 2,500g. Additionally, the process of recording buying and selling transactions becomes more structured and well-documented. Partners can also estimate the profits obtained through one of the system's features. Through the combination of automatic filling and a POS system, this program has successfully improved product quality and enhanced the management capabilities of the honey business.
