The aim of JIEMAR ( Journal of Industrial Engineering & Management Research is to publish theoretical and empirical articles that are aimed to contrast and extend existing theories, and build new theories that contribute to advance our understanding of phenomena related with industrial engineering and industrial management in organizations, from the perspectives of Production Planning/Scheduling/Inventory, Logistics/Supply Chain, Quality Management, Operations Management and Operational Research. The contributions can adopt confirmatory (quantitative) or explanatory (mainly qualitative) methodological approaches. Theoretical essays that enhance the building or extension of theoretical approaches are also welcome. JIEMAR selects the articles to be published with a double bind, peer review system, following the practices of good scholarly journals. JIEMAR is published monthly (on-line versions), following an open access policy. On-line publication allows to reduce publishing costs, and to make more agile the process of reviewing and edition. JIEMAR defends that open access publishing fosters the advance of scientific knowledge, making it available to everyone. Abstract

The objective of this research is to know the effect of social media marketing through Instagram on brand awareness of Café Eat Happens. The research used quantitive approach with survey method. The sample in this research took 114 respondents who know Café Eat Happens through Instagram and visited Café Eat Happens at least once. The measurements used were questionnaires distributed through Google Form and manuals. Data were analyzed with SPSS 20.0. The result of T test shows that variable of information access and accessibility have no effect to brand awareness. While the variable of interactive capabilities and sharing of content have significant effects to brand awareness.

Abstract

This research aims to learn about poverty in Padangsidimpuan City while also comparing the economy to the Human Development Index. This study is divided into two categories: research documents and library research (Library Research). The approach used in this research is a quantitative method that uses panel data and a fixed effect model; the measures in this study are secondary data collection from the Central Statistics Agency after data review. Based on the findings of the study, using the Fixed Effects Model Analysis method, a negative variable is generated on the Human Development Index in Padangsidimpuan City, when comparing the Economy associated with the Human Development Index in Padangsidimpuan City. Although poverty and published economics linked to the Human Development Index in Padangsidimpuan City are both visible.

Abstract

The individual personality factors that usually affect consumers' purchasing decisions include age or life cycle stage, job, economic condition, lifestyle, personality, or self-image. The consumer's purchasing decisions related to goods depends on various factors such as brand, quality, after-sales services, warranty, advertising, rebates, offers, discount, mode of payment, display, salesperson behavior, store location, and many more. Grand Duck King Restaurant Medan has confirmed that the number of consumers has been decreasing these recent months. It has been suspected that this problem is due to consumer factors. The research objective is to determine whether individual factors affect consumers' buying decisions using the EKB model and analyze how strong the effect of individual factors is on consumers' purchasing decisions using the EKB model. The population that the writer used is the consumers at grand Duck King Cambridge Medan, which are 101 people; by using Slovin's Formula, the sample size is 81 consumers, and use the simple random sampling technique which the consumers have the same chance to be chosen as the sample. The results from the analysis are individual factors that affect consumers' purchasing decisions at Grand Duck Restaurant King Cambridge Medan, and personal characteristics have a strong and positive effect on consumers' buying decisions at Grand Duck King Restaurant Cambridge Medan. Abstract

To increase employee performance, many factors influence it, but in this research it is necessary to find the effect of increasing employee performance from transformational leadership styles and organizational commitment. This research was conducted at CV Artha Mega Mandiri Medan, with respondents being employees, a sample of 100 people was taken using stratified random sampling technique. The data were processed using SPSS 25 to find the effect with multiple regression and correlation. The results show that there is a positive and significant influence between transformational leadership style and employee performance by 75%. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that influence customer interest in buying halal processed food. We use the voluntary sampling method with 110 respondents who are halal food customers in Indonesia. The data analysis was performed using the SEM-PLS method. The research was conducted for one month by distributing questionnaires directly to respondents. This study to analyze brand image, perceived quality, perceived value, halal certification, health, halal awareness, and halal marketing as factors that influence customers' halal purchase intentions. The results showed that halal awareness, brand image, halal certification, health reasons, and perceived value have a positive and significant effect on purchase intention.

Abstract

Abstract: Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (SME) are the main pillars of the Indonesian economy because they have a strong foundation in driving the wheels of the national economy. Inventory is an essential factor in SME production costs to boost competitive advantage. Conventionally, Local SMEs in the pest control industry do not yet have a method or system of inventory control for pest control raw materials. This study tries to conduct in-depth research of local SMEs in the pest control industry to minimize the shortage of raw materials. An observation of this study found out that material shortage in local SME could happen every month that caused stop supply to customers. The objective of this paper proposes an appropriate and efficient stock of pest control material to improve the shortage problem. For achieving the research objective, the approach used a case study on Nuvaq material inventory in an SME in Jakarta, Indonesia.. The forecasting technique with minimal error is the Linear Regression method giving results with the smallest forecast errors. It can be seen from the smallest MAD, MAPE, SEE, and MSE. The economic order quantity is 100 Liter Nuvaq Material, reorder points can be made when the supply is 36 Liters, and safety stock for Nuvaq raw materials is 16 liters.

Abstract

This is the field of study that deal with business process management. This turns out to be problematic because to get successful business need appropriate business process management. The way to describe a business process is making a business process modeling notation (BPMN). BPMN make business process easier to understand for all users in the organization. Small and medium enterprise (SME) also needs to designed BPMN to achieve business effectiveness. This study use qualitative approach, data collected from interview and observation in Swamart Swalayan as small retail enterprise. The overall goal of this work was to find out the evaluation purchase order system and existing supplies at Swamart Supermarkets by using BPMN. From the result, Swamart Supermarket have some problem in handling the inventory. Improvement of inventory management and duties segregation are needed by Swamart Swalayan to achieve better goals.

Abstract

Fixed assets that have been owned by the company certainly have a time limit for their use so it needs to be a concern by the company relating to the age of the fixed assets. Depreciation is the allocation of the amount of a tangible fixed assets that can be depreciated over the estimated useful life. This research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach with analytical descriptive analysis techniques with a qualitative approach. Research results of PT. Gema Gedung Anugerah has not made a basis for recording Fixed Tangible Assets, only records the fixed assets based on their benefits regardless of their nominal value. This will result in an immaterial nominal value that can be included in the class of fixed assets, causing it to become a large post for tangible fixed assets.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the extent to which accounting standards apply to the preparation of cooperative financial statements, and evaluate their application with theories based on the Public Accountability Accounting Standards for Entities without Public Accountability (SAK ETAP). The research methodology used is descriptive qualitative method because it compares the preparation of financial accounting reports in cooperatives with the theories and provisions contained in SAK ETAP. The data collection technique is primary, in the form of document collection by conducting interviews with the Cemerlang Cooperative in order to obtain more in-depth information about the policies and calculations used as the basis for compiling financial reports. The data analysis technique used is to describe the determination used by cooperatives and SAK ETAP as a guide. The result of the research is that the Cemerlang Cooperative has not fully implemented the provisions contained in SAK ETAP. where Koperasi Cemerlang has not fully complied with the obligations and compliance with the specified taxation. For the treatment of some accounting posts, it is in accordance with SAK ETAP.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the influence of accounting information system and payment punctuality of account receivable to the sales internal control at Divisi Usaha Bharakerta Inkoppol. The method of research is qualitative method. The sample collection technique is conducted by performing non- probability sampling and saturated sampling technique approach. The primary data is obtained by distributing questionnaires. This research uses several test which are partial test (t-test) and multiple linear regression. Accounting information system (X1) has a positive and significant effect on internal sales at the Bharakerta Inkoppol Business Division. Implementing this by increasing the application of accounting information systems will improve internal sales control in the Bharakerta Inkoppol Business Division. The results of the accurate payment of receivables (X2) have a positive and significant impact on sales internal control (Y) in the Bharakerta Inkoppol Business Division. This means that the better application of payment accuracy will improve the internal sales control of the Bharakerta Inkoppol Business Division. Accounting information system (X1) and the results of the accuracy of payment of accounts receivable (X2)) have a positive and significant effect on internal sales control (Y) at the Bharakerta Inkoppol Business Division. This indicates that the accounting information system and the accuracy of payment of accounts receivable are components in creating good and clean internal control
