Abstract

PT.Barat Sejahtera Medan merupakan  perusahaan yang bergerak dalam bidang usaha konstruksi. Disiplin kerja pada PT. Barat Sejahtera Medan belum sesuai dengan yang diharapkan perusahaan. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari tingkat absensi karyawan. Akibatnya tujuan perusahaan tidak tercapai seperti  diharapkan. Berdasarkan uraian tersebut, dirumuskan masalah penelitian “Faktor apa yang paling dominan mempengaruhi disiplin kerja karyawan pada PT. Barat Sejahtera Medan?. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor apa yang paling dominan mempengaruhi disiplin kerja pada PT. Barat Sejahtera Medan.  Manfaat penelitian adalah menambah wawasan dan pengetahuan penulis mengenai faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi disiplin kerja. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh karyawan operasional PT.Barat Sejahtera Medanyang berjumlah 135 orang. Sampel pada penelitian berjumlah 80 orang yang dipilih secara acak sederhana. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah kuesioner. Data yang diperoleh di analisis menggunakan analisis faktor dengan bantuan SPSS versi 20.0 Berdasarkan hasil pembahasan disimpulkan bahwa scree plot menampakkan grafik, di mana dari faktor 1 ke faktor 2, arah grafik menurun cukup tajam. Kemudian faktor ketiga dan seterusnya sudah berada di bawah angka sumbu Y Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa faktor pengawasan melekat yang paling dominan mempengaruhi disiplin kerja karyawan pada PT. Barat Sejahtera Medan. Faktor yang paling dominan mempengaruhi disiplin kerja karyawan pada PT.Barat Sejahtera Medanadalah faktor pengawasan melekat dengan nilai variance 29, 3%. Saran yang diberikan kepada perusahaan sebagai bahan pertimbangan adalah sebaiknya, perusahaan memperhatikan faktor pengawasan melekat berupa pengawasan secara langsung di lokasi kerja oleh atasan, pengarahan oleh atasan, teguran, dan tindakan tegas. Hal ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan disiplin kerja karyawan.

Abstract

The individual personality factors that usually affect consumers' purchasing decisions include age or life cycle stage, job, economic condition, lifestyle, personality, or self-image. The consumer's purchasing decisions related to goods depends on various factors such as brand, quality, after-sales services, warranty, advertising, rebates, offers, discount, mode of payment, display, salesperson behavior, store location, and many more. Grand Duck King Restaurant Medan has confirmed that the number of consumers has been decreasing these recent months. It has been suspected that this problem is due to consumer factors. The research objective is to determine whether individual factors affect consumers' buying decisions using the EKB model and analyze how strong the effect of individual factors is on consumers' purchasing decisions using the EKB model. The population that the writer used is the consumers at grand Duck King Cambridge Medan, which are 101 people; by using Slovin's Formula, the sample size is 81 consumers, and use the simple random sampling technique which the consumers have the same chance to be chosen as the sample. The results from the analysis are individual factors that affect consumers' purchasing decisions at Grand Duck Restaurant King Cambridge Medan, and personal characteristics have a strong and positive effect on consumers' buying decisions at Grand Duck King Restaurant Cambridge Medan. Abstract

The power of praise in the workplace can move employees from apathy or resentment to happiness and productivity. Reinforcement such as positive reinforcement makes people feel appreciated and encouraged, which can be motivating and rewarding. In this research, the writer researches IEC Malaka Medan that locates at Jalan Malaka no 29/59 Medan. IEC (International Education Centre) was the well-known image in English Education Centre. In conducting the research, the writer uses a questionnaire containing ten questions, with each question having five answers to be chosen, distributed to 30 respondents. The questions are designed by using interval data which uses a Likert Scale rating. For analyzing the collected data, the writer will use statistical formulas, which are correlation formulas for test whether it is valid. Cronbach's Alpha for testing reliability, Pearson's product moment for correlation test, normality test to identify whether the data is normal, determination formula and linear regression for identifying relationship between variables and z-test for hypothesis test. In analyzing data, the writer used some methods such as the validity test, the reliability test, the statistical data, the normality test, the correlation test, the determination test, the linear regression test, and the hypothesis test. The percentage of reinforcement towards employees' performance is 49.7% and the remaining 50.3% is impacted by other factors. The coefficient correlation between variable x and variable y resulted in 0.705, which means that there is a relationship between reinforcement and employees' performance at IEC Malaka Medan. Abstract

This tourism study analyzed the evidence of studies to identify marketing strategies for tourism products to foreign markets through the study and analysis of several international publications that discuss tourism promotion and marketing issues. The tourism business is the same as other businesses where it is very much tied to promotion and marketing in order to be able to survive and develop quickly to be known by potential foreign tourists. Therefore, we collected literature with the help of internet searches on some well-known publications such as Sagepub, Google Scholar, and other publications published in the last ten years. Then we analyzed it with a phenomenological approach starting from the data coding system, interpretation and evaluation until we found data findings that answered the core problem of this tourism study with the principle of high validity. Because this study depends on the literature, all of our data is found electronically following health protocol where there are public restrictions on Covid-19 response efforts. Based on the data and discussion, we conclude that the findings include tourism promotion and marketing strategies based on experts, an innovative and productive way to believe via the internet with several social media platforms and other websites. Thus, this finding becomes a significant contribution for many people.

Abstract

The success of a company is influenced by employee performance. By improving employee performance will make it easier for company goals to be achieved. One factor that can improve employee performance is the provision of compensation and motivation. This study aims to determine and analyze the influence of motivation and compensation on employee performance. From the observations of researchers in the field, PT. Surya Sumatera Indah Sejahtera seems to be less motivated in terms of the way services are provided to customers and employees also seem less enthusiastic at work. Employees who work at PT. Surya Sumatera Indah Sejahtera receives compensation that can only meet their needs, meaning that compensation is not in accordance with the prevailing general provisions (civil servant salary regulations and regional minimum wages). The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of motivation and compensation to employees’ performance. The writer collected data by questionnaire. The population in this study is all employees of the company amounted to 169 persons. The writer use Slovin Formula so that the sample is amounted to 119 persons. The conclusion from this research is motivation and compensation have a positive and significant effect on employee performance at PT. Surya Sumatera Indah Sejahtera. Partially, each variable motivation and compensation have a positive and significant effect on employee performance at PT. Surya Sumatera Indah Sejahtera.

Abstract

From this research, it can be known that the employee performance at Union Education Center Medan can be explained by work environment in 50.9% and the remaining of 49.1% can be explained by other factors. Compensation in 54.6% and the remaining of 45.4% can be explained by other factors. The regression equation is Y=10.920+0.136X1+0.028X2, which means the increase of 1 unit of work environment will lead to increase of 0.136 units of employee performance at Union Education Center and the increase of 1 unit of compensation will lead to increase of 0.028 units of employee performance at Union Education Center. It also can be seen that work environment and compensation has impact toward employee performance. Because it is 6.322 > 3.26 (Fcount > +Ftable) this is why that the hypothesis alternative (Ha) is accepted while null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. The study recommended that the company can provide a comfort workplace, more adequate equipment to support the teacher daily works. The company also need to pay attention to employee compensation to improve employee commitment and performance.

Abstract

The consumer‘s purchasing decisions related to goods depends on various factors such as brand, quality, after sales services, warranty, advertising, rebates, offers, discount, mode of payment, display, sales person behaviour, store location and many more. Grand Duck King Restaurant Medan, it has been confirmed that the number of consumers has been decreasing these recent months. It has been suspected that this problem is due to consumers‘ individual factors. The indicators of individual factors in this research were adopted by Rouzbahani, et.al (2013:1151) which include age and life cycle stage, job, economic condition, lifestyle, and personality or self-image and indicators of consumer‘s purchasing decisions indicators by Lopez (2012:127) which are frequency of transactions, consumer referral, Loyalty, repeat decisions. The population that the writer used is the consumers the writer doing research 1 day on 30th May 2017 at grand Duck King Cambridge Medan which are 101 people, by using Slovin‘s Formula, the sample size is 81 consumers, and use the simple random sampling technique which the consumers have same chance to be chosen as sample. The results from analysis are individual factors have effect on consumer‘s purchasing decision at Grand Duck Restaurant King Cambridge Medan and individual factors have a strong and positive effect on consumer‘s purchasing decisions at Grand Duck King Restaurant Cambridge Medan.

Abstract

Corona Virus atau yang kita kenal dengan sebutan Covid-19 menjadi topik pembahasan paling penting di Negara Indonesia. Dengan jumlah pasien positif terpapar virus ini yang semakin bertambah membuat warga masyarakat tak berhenti resah dan adanya kebijakan-kebijakan baru dari pemerintah. Dalam hal ini, program yang telah kami laksanakan adalah melakukan penggalangan dana sehingga hasil dana yang diperoleh bisa disalurkan kepada masyarakat di Kelurahan Gaharu Kecamatan Medan Timur Sumatera Utara. Melihat dari potensi masyarakat yang terus menghiraukan himbauan pemerintah bahwa kita diharuskan untuk bekerja, belajar dan beribadah dirumah untuk sementara waktu guna mencegah penularan Covid-19. Pandemic covid- 19 sebagai wabah yang mendunia, termasuk di Indonesia. Penyebarannya mengakibatkan terpuruknya perekonomian bagi masyarakat. Kebijakan pemerintah yang berisi anjuran untuk tetap tinggal di rumah saja (stay at home) dan social distancing (physical distancing) menyebabkan orang tidak boleh pergi untuk mengadakan transaksi jual beli. Sehingga toko- toko/ pedagang kecil, menengah ataupun pejual jasa seperti gojek, laundry, dan sebagainya menjadi sepi karema tidak memiliki konsumen yang menjadi objek pekerjaan mereka. Hal ini menyebabkan penghasilan mereka berkurang, sedangkan kebutuhan keluarga menuntut untuk dipenuhi. Dengan membantu memenuhi kebutuhan sembako yang mereka butuhkan. Mendapatkan sembako tersebut dengan cara mengadakan bakti sosial, menggumpulkan sumbangan sembako sukarela pada warga yang mampu ataupun yang berkeinginan untuk membantu orang sekitarnya. Kemudian dibagikan bagi mereka yang kurang mampu maupun yang terkena dampak covid- 19

Abstract

Tidak dapat dipungkiri bahwa matematika merupakan salah satu mata pelajaran yang menjadi momok bagi kebanyakan siswa. Di sisi lain, disadari atau tidak, matematika sangat diperlukan dalam berbagai aspek keilmuan serta kehidupan sehari-hari. Kegiatan ini Yanca di bidang Matematika. Kegiatan pendampingan dilaksanakan dengan memberikan bimbingan belajar privat. Dalam setiap kegiatan siswa dipisah menjadi kelompok-kelompok kecil 1-3 orang sesuai dengan tingkatan sekolah masing-masing. Dengan metode ini semua siswa dapat mengikuti kegiatan pembelajaran lebih intensif. Jika diperhatikan, dapat dilihat bahwa semangat dan motivasi belajar siswa semakin lama semakin meningkat. Diharapkan kegiatan ini dapt memicu semangat para siswa untuk lebih menyenangi dan mempelajari matematika
