Abstract

In order to improve public health, the government is organizing a Free Health Check Program as part of its preventive and promotive health services. The purpose of this study is to determine the implementation of reporting the Satu Sehat Indonesiaku (SSI) application's free health check program to support the optimization of program record-keeping and reporting. Qualitative research with a cross-sectional design. The population is all the officers in the research area. The samples used were taken using the purposive sampling technique, which involved 4 informants with predetermined inclusion criteria. The research results indicate that the implementation of the Satu Sehat Indonesiaku (SSI) application at the Ogan Permata Indah (OPI) Community Health Center is running well and contributes positively to the effectiveness and efficiency of recording and reporting free health check-up activities (CKG). The SSI application simplifies data processing, reduces input errors, and supports integrated and timely reporting. Most officers have a positive perception of using the SSI application. However, limitations in internet connectivity, differences in staff technical skills, and the need to improve the application's interface for better user-friendliness were still encountered. It is recommended to enhance staff capacity thru training and technical assistance, along with strengthening internet connectivity and refining the features of the Satu Sehat Indonesiaku (SSI) application. Additionally, regular monitoring and evaluation are needed to maintain the effectiveness of reporting.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Proper planning of health human resources (HHR) is essential to support the quality and efficiency of medical record services in hospitals. A mismatch between workload and staffing levels has the potential to reduce the quality of medical record management. This study aims to analyze HHR needs at the Medical Records Unit of RSUD Hj. Anna Lasmanah Banjarnegara using the Health Workload Analysis (ABK-Kes) method. This study is a quantitative research with descriptive analytic design. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and document review, then analyzed based on the ABK-Kes calculation guidelines of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia. The results showed that the HHR needs in the Outpatient Registration Unit, Inpatient Unit, and Emergency Unit were 7 people, the Assembling Unit 7 people, the Indexing Unit 3 people, the Coding Unit 7 people, and the Filing Unit 8 people. An imbalance in the distribution of HHR was found, where the registration unit had excess personnel, while the assembling, indexing, coding, and filing units experienced a lack of personnel, which is an indication that the planning and distribution of HHR in the Medical Records Installation is not yet optimal. Adjustments and redistribution of HHR based on actual workload are needed to improve the efficiency and quality of medical record services.

Abstract

Pregnancy is a complex physiological process that requires special attention to ensure it proceeds normally without complications. One of the key concerns during pregnancy is maintaining adequate nutrition to support fetal growth. Many pregnant women still experience Chronic Energy Deficiency (CED) due to dietary patterns influenced by myths and food taboos in Javanese culture. This study examines pregnant women's perceptions of myths and food taboos during pregnancy from a Javanese cultural perspective. This study is a quantitative descriptive study with a sample of 34 pregnant women. The research instrument used a questionnaire to measure pregnant women's perceptions of myths and food taboos, which were valid (r = 0.507 - 0.822) and reliable (?-Cronbach = 0.926). Univariate analysis of the study results showed that 55.9% of pregnant women had positive perceptions, and 44.1% had negative perceptions. The results of this study indicate that 44.1% of pregnant women in Lesmana Village, Banyumas Regency, have negative perceptions of myths and food taboos. This can increase the risk of CED in pregnant women in Lesmana Village. Health education or counseling is needed to dispel myths and taboos.

Abstract

Menopause is a natural phase in a woman's life that is often accompanied by various symptoms, one of the most common being hot flashes—a sudden sensation of heat followed by excessive sweating. These symptoms can significantly impact women's quality of life. Due to concerns over the side effects of hormone therapy, the use of herbal treatments such as Salvia officinalis (sage) is being considered as an alternative remedy. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of sage (Salvia officinalis) in reducing hot flash symptoms in menopausal women. This research employed a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest approach. The sample consisted of 60 menopausal women experiencing hot flashes, selected through purposive sampling at Puskesmas Plaju Palembang. The intervention involved administering a sage infusion (100 grams in 200 ml of water), consumed once daily for seven days. Hot flash symptoms were measured before and after the intervention using a hot flash instrument. The data were analyzed using a paired sample t-test. The results showed that the administration of sage infusion was significantly effective in reducing hot flash symptoms in menopausal women, indicating that sage can serve as a safe and natural non-hormonal therapy alternative.

Abstract

Hysterectomy is the most common surgical procedure for women with gynecological tumors or cancer. In the U.S., over 600,000 hysterectomies are performed annually, while Indonesia reports a prevalence of 13% to 37%. Proper wound management is crucial to preventing infection and promoting healing after surgery. This study investigates the relationship between medical indications and wound healing in post-hysterectomy patients at Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo General Hospital. Using a quantitative approach with a descriptive correlational design, 41 patients were selected through consecutive sampling. Bivariate analysis was conducted using the Spearman Rank Test, revealing no significant relationship between medical indications and wound healing in Stage I (days 2–3 post-surgery, p-value: 0.775) or Stage II (days 7–10 post-surgery, p-value: 0.656). These results suggest that medical indications do not significantly affect wound healing, suggesting that other factors, such as age and nutritional status, may be influential.

Abstract

Coverage of exclusive breastfeeding for babies in the world is 41%, while the WHO target for exclusive breastfeeding in the world is 70% (Global Breast Feeding Collective, Unicef ??and WHO, 2018). Not all postpartum mothers immediately express breast milk. To stimulate the release of the hormones prolactin and oxytocin in Indonesia, there are many types of methods that can be used as an option for mothers who experience problems during breastfeeding, one of which is the oketani massage technique. This study aims to determine the effect of providing breast care using the oketani massage technique on breast milk production in post partum mothers at RSIA Az-Zahra Palembang. This research method uses a pre-experimental research method with a one group pretest—post test design. The sample in this study was 71 post partum mothers on days 1-3 using the purposive sampling method. The research was conducted from 1 - 31 January 2025 at RSIA Az-Zahra Palembang. The results of this research showed that based on the Wilcoxon test, it was found to be 0.001 < 0.05, it could be concluded that there was a significant effect of breast care using the oketani massage technique on the smoothness of breastfeeding in postpartum mothers at RSIA Az-Zahra Palembang. It is hoped that this research will be useful for post partum mothers and can be applied at home so that the mother's breast milk production runs smoothly and the baby's nutrition is met.

Abstract

The risk of violent behavior includes behavior accompanied by destructive emotional responses that may result in both physical and psychological harm to others, oneself, and the environment. Management for patients at risk of violent behavior can be carried out through non-pharmacological interventions such as Progressive Muscle Relaxation (PMR). The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of PMR therapy on violent behavior in patients at risk of violent behavior at Yayasan Mitra Mulia. This study used a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest approach. The sampling technique used in this study was purposive sampling, with a total sample of 37 respondents. The study measured anger behavior in people with mental disorders before PMR therapy was administered and then measured anger behavior again after the therapy was provided. The results showed that the median score for the ability to control anger behavior before therapy was 27.00 (poor), while the median score after therapy was 47.00 (good). Statistical analysis using the Wilcoxon test showed a difference in the total score of the ability to control anger behavior before and after PMR therapy (p-value = 0.000), indicating a significant effect. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that patients at risk of violent behavior who received anger behavior therapy experienced a reduction in violent behavior. It is expected that non-pharmacological treatment using PMR therapy can help reduce violent behavior in patients at risk of violent behavior.

Abstract

Linguistically, "dewasa" comes from the Latin word "adultus," which means "to grow into perfect strength and size or to have become mature." In terms of terminology, an adult is an individual who has reached their developmental stage and is ready to participate in society alongside other adults. The purpose of the research is to determine the effect of low-impact aerobic exercise on lowering blood pressure in hypertensive patients. The research method uses a Pre-Experimental design with a one group pre post test design. The population in this study consists of all adult age groups at the Puskesmas Padang Selasa Palembang, with a sample size of 35 respondents. The sampling was conducted using the purposive sampling technique. The research results showed that there is an effect of low-impact aerobic exercise on systolic blood pressure (p.value = 0.001), the effect of low impact aerobics on diastolic blood pressure (p.value = 0.012) in reducing blood pressure. It is hoped that the recommendation can provide non-pharmacological treatment to reduce blood pressure in adults independently at home, in addition to pharmacological treatment.

Abstract

Menopause is a natural phase in a woman’s life characterized by decreased estrogen levels, affecting physical, psychological, social aspects, and overall quality of life. Limited knowledge and skills in managing physical changes during menopause may reduce women’s well-being. This study aimed to examine the impact of physical health education on the quality of life of menopausal women. A pre-experimental design with a one group pretest-posttest approach was used. The sample consisted of 30 menopausal women choosed through purposive sampling. The WHOQOL-OLD questionnaire was used to measure quality of life. Data were examined using the Paired Sample t-test after conducting the Shapiro-Wilk normality test. The outcomes presented a significant improvement in quality of life after the intervention, with a p-value < 0.001 (? = 0.05). Physical health education had a positive and significant effect on improving the quality of life of menopausal women. These findings highlight the importance of structured physical health education programs as promotive and preventive strategies to enhance menopausal women’s well-being.
