JCP (Jurnal Cakrawala Promkes (JCP) is an open-access journal that is peer-reviewed and multidisciplinary forum for the publication of those research that aimed at understanding of the implication and approaches to health promotion and public health. JCP includes research in the social determinants of health, health education, community empowerment, health communication, health sociology, social psychology, anthropology medicine, health promotion programs at various setting. The JCP covers a broad range of topics including socio determinant of health, social psychology, sociology, anthropology medicine, health co­m­munication, health education, health-related behaviour, community empowerment, community organization and community development, a social determinant of health. JCP welcomes papers on the theories and concepts, methodologies, policy formulation, organizational change, as well as social and environmental development, using quan­titative or qualitative methods. All of the papers published are freely available as downloadable pdf files.

Abstract

Background: The best food for newborns up to six months of age is breast milk. This is due to the complete nutritional content so that it can meet the baby’s needs. Breastfeeding after the baby is six months old is recommended with complementary feeding. The percentage of exclusive breastfeeding in Banjarnegara Regency in 2019 was 61.4%. History of breastfeeding factors that can influence the nutritional status of children. This study aims to describe the history of breastfeeding and the nutritional status of children in Dusun Ratan, Batur Village, Batur District, Banjarnegara Regency. Method: This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. There were nine informants in this study consisting of mothers who had toddlers with the criteria of under-fives being less nutritional status, over nutritional status, and good nutrition status. Collecting data in this study through interviews. Result: Most of the informants gave exclusive breastfeeding. But one of the informants who had a toddler with more nutritional status did not exclusively breastfeed. The knowledge of the informants is not good. This may be related to the level of education of the informants which is still low on average. A mother’s motivation in breastfeeding comes from herself and also her family. Information about breastfeeding was obtained by informants through counseling, KIA books, the internet, articles on breastfeeding, and midwives. Conclusion: The history of exclusive breastfeeding is related to the nutritional status of toddlers, although exclusive breastfeeding is not the only factor that can determine the nutritional status of toddlers. Abstract

Background: Hands are parts of the human body that are agents of disease transmission. It is known that the transmission of COVID-19 is through hands. Therefore, the way to prevent the transmission of COVID-19 is by washing hands with soap (CTPS). Moreover, at Watupecah State Elementary School there has never been any research related to CTPS and students' lack of knowledge regarding CTPS. So, the school during the COVID-19 pandemic needs to increase knowledge about CTPS. One way to increase knowledge is by providing health education related to CTPS with video media through its strong visualization. The purpose of the study was to analyze the effect of video media on the level of knowledge of handwashing with soap in preventing COVID-19 among students at the Watupecah State Elementary School Tempel Sleman. Methods: The study used a Quasi-Experimental research design using a one-group pretest-posttest design. The 45 students in this study were from Watupecah State Elementary School's 4th and 5th grades. Total sampling was used to acquire data. The Wilcoxon Sign Ranks Test was performed to analyze the data. Results: Before receiving video media intervention, 17 people (37.8%) had a high level of knowledge, which climbed to 36 persons after receiving video media intervention (80 percent ). The Wilcoxon Sign Ranks test yielded a p-value of 0.000, which is significantly lower than the p-value of 0.05, with Ha accepted and Ho rejected. Conclusion: Students at the State Elementary School of Watupecah Tempel Sleman have an influence of video media on their level of awareness of handwashing with soap in the prevention of COVID-19.

Abstract

Background: The COVID-19 pandemic has had an impact on family planning programs. The government has made a new policy to limit family planning services during the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result, there is a decrease in family planning participation, causing a high risk of an increase in the number of pregnancies and an explosion in the birth rate. Utilization of health services and a good perception of family planning can increase the compliance of family planning acceptors. Objective: This study aims to determine the relationship between the utilization of health services and perceptions with the compliance of family planning acceptors during the COVID-19 pandemic at the Kalasan Health Center, Sleman. Methods: This research method is quantitative with a cross sectional approach. The population in this study were all family planning acceptors at the Kalasan Sleman Health Center with a total of 60 respondents. The sampling technique used was Total Sampling with a total of 53 respondents. Data analysis using Chi Square statistical test and multiple linear regression. Results: Based on the results of the Chi Square test, the variable of utilization of health services and compliance with family planning acceptors, the value of = 0.781 means that the value of >0.05 with multiple linear regression results Sig. 0.728. The results of the Chi Square test of the perception variable with the compliance of family planning acceptors obtained the value of = 0.318, meaning that the value of >0.05 with multiple linear regression values of Sig. 0.452. Conclusion: There is no significant relationship between the utilization of health services and perceptions of compliance with family planning acceptors during the COVID-19 pandemic at the Kalasan Health Center, Sleman Yogyakarta.

Abstract

Background: Menstrual personal hygiene is an effort to maintain personal hygiene and reproductive organs during menstruation. If the personal hygiene of menstruation is poor, it may be at risk of infection of the reproductive tract and can cause vaginal discharge. The results of the preliminary study showed that 8 out of 10 adolescents knew little about menstrual hygiene. Purpose: To produce animated video content motion graphics of adolescent girls' about personal hygiene during menstruation. Method: This study using uses the PProcess media development model. The expert review was conducted by media experts and materials experts. The pre-test media will conduct on girls adolescents aged 13-18. Results: The expert review results showed that the animation video media motion graphic about menstrual personal menstrual hygiene belonged to an excellent category (81-100%), and the materials in the animated videos motion graphic about menstrual personal hygiene belonged to a good category (61-80%). The results of a small-scale experiment conducted on 13-18-year-old girls showed an increase in knowledge before and after watching animated videos about menstruation and personal hygiene. All interviewees believed that animated videos were very educational and useful for young women. Conclusion: This study shows a change in the increase in knowledge of adolescent girls after seeing an animated video motion graphic about menstrual personal hygiene.

Abstract

Smoking behavior is a problem related to public health conditions because it can lead to various health problems. A Global Youth Tobacco study in 2008 showed that the prevalence rate of adolescent smokers in Indonesia was very alarming. This study aims to determine a relationship between the social environment and smoking behavior in adolescents. The research method uses scientific research literature review, by analyzing various articles which valid and relevant to the topic. This study uses the literature of the National Journal published from 2018 to 2021. The database used to collect literature is Google Scholar with the keywords "Social Environment", "Smoking Behavior", "Adolescents". Researchers found 1,030 articles on Google Scholar then finally researchers got 10 articles relevant to the inclusion criteria. The results showed that from the ten articles, it was stated that the social environment and smoking behavior in adolescents were two interrelated things. The social environment is one ofthe driving factors for adolescents to smoke. The most influential adolescent social environment is family or parents and peers. Special assistance to adolescents is needed in order to reduce the prevalence of smoking in adolescents, especially in Indonesia.

Abstract

Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Efforts to increase public knowledge regarding the importance of a clean and healthy lifestyle to change people's attitudes and behavior. Community service was carried out at TPQ Al-Masyhud for two weeks in August 2020. This study aims to determine changes in knowledge, behavior, and attitudes of students at TPQ Al-Masyhud before and after being given the socialization and education of the New Normal.  The educational media used were posters, videos, and booklets. The method used is a quasi-experimental method, with a pre-test post-test one-group design without a control group which was carried out twice, pre-test and after education (post-test). Education was given to 25 children through blended learning, using the WhatsApp application, and limited face-to-face meetings with 5 children. Based on the evaluation results of educational activities, the new habit adaptation protocol significantly impacted aspects of knowledge, attitudes, and behavior of TPQ Al-Masyhud students. This is evidenced by the statistical results on the post-test knowledge p = 0.001, behavior p = 0.001, and attitude p = 0.001. Participants are able to understand the causes, symptoms and be able to apply COVID-19 prevention methods in daily life, how to use a good and proper mask, how to wash hands, and ethical ways when coughing.

Abstract

Background: The method used in this study is the PRISMA method. The literature used is in the time span between 2018 to 2021. The data used is obtained from Google Scholar using the keywords are online games, youth, health impacts due to playing online games. Objective: what are the causal factors and health impacts caused by playing online games on teenagers. Methods: The method used in this study is the PRISMA method. The literature used is in the time span between 2018 to 2021. The data used is obtained from Google Scholar using the keywords are online games, youth, health impacts due to playing online games. Results: The results of the articles that have been filtered are 55 articles to be analyzed and reviewed, then re-selected so that they become ten articles that meet the inclusion criteria. Conclusions: Playing online games for too long will have a negative impact on the body such as obesity, eye pain, brain disorders, back pain and joint pain

Abstract

Background: Family Planning aims to regulate childbirth and pregnancy interval by using various contraception methods. Eventhough there is many choice among contraception methods, intramuscular injection is still the most used method. This phenomena happened in Indonesia, nationally and locally in Pekanbaru. The behavior of female users in choosing contraception methods is based on their knowledge and attitude about contraception methods. Objective: This study purpose is to describe female conctraception users behavior in the selection of contraception methods in Pekanbaru city. Methods: Research conducted with descriptive observational study design. Sample size is 400, sample was taken by stratified random sampling technique at 12 primary health centers in the city of Pekanbaru. Results: Results: Results show majority respondents had improper contraception methods selection behavior . Majority respondent is in 30- 39 years age group, with educational attainment high school, and most of them is housewives. Conclusions: Majority female contraception users in Pekanbaru had improper contraception methods selection behavior

Abstract

Background: Social support in post-mastectomy breast cancer patients is still lacking, patients who do not get social support will feel inferior and isolate themselves. Objective: How is the social support provided by the immediate environment of cancer patients with mastectomy treatment? Methods: This research is a type of qualitative research that uses a case study design. Informants were taken using snowball sampling technique and found 4 key informants and 4 triangulated informants.Results: The appreciation support received by post-mastectomy breast cancer patients in Semaka District, Tanggamus Regency, Lampung is mostly words of encouragement, motivation and respect for patients. Material support received in the form of financial assistance from spouses and families, as well as assistance in providing fruits, food, drinks and purchasing medicines. Post-mastectomy breast cancer patients do not get informational support from their partners, friends and family. Conclusions: The emotional support received by the patient is affection, attention and sympathy, but not all patients get this support.

Abstract

Background: People with mental disorders (PwMD) are people who experience disturbances in thoughts, behaviour and feelings that cause suffering and obstacles in carrying out their functions as humans. Cadres or health workers acted as liaison between PwMD and health care facilities to overcome challenges faced by PwMD by providing several types of social supports. The purpose of this study was to describe the support of cadres to PwMD in the working area of Ponjong I Public Health Center. Objective: The purpose of this study was to describe the support of cadres to PwMD in the working area of Ponjong I Public Health Center. Methods: This study used a cross-sectional design with a sample of 177 cadres. The data were analyzed as a percentage of the characteristics and several types of social support namely emotional, informational, instrumental and appraisal support. Results: A total of 177 cadres aged 41-65 years were 59.89%. The total of social support from cadres categorized as good (85.31%), while the percentages according to their dimensions are 50.3% for informational support, 49.2% for appraisal support, 49.7% for emotional support and 47.5% for instrumental support. Conclusions: The social support provided by cadres for PwMD was cat-egorized as good with more prominent dimensions of appraisal and emotional support. Dimensions of social support that still needs to be optimized are providing informational and instrumental supports.
