Abstract

Background: Family Planning aims to regulate childbirth and pregnancy interval by using various contraception methods. Eventhough there is many choice among contraception methods, intramuscular injection is still the most used method. This phenomena happened in Indonesia, nationally and locally in Pekanbaru. The behavior of female users in choosing contraception methods is based on their knowledge and attitude about contraception methods. Objective: This study purpose is to describe female conctraception users behavior in the selection of contraception methods in Pekanbaru city. Methods: Research conducted with descriptive observational study design. Sample size is 400, sample was taken by stratified random sampling technique at 12 primary health centers in the city of Pekanbaru. Results: Results: Results show majority respondents had improper contraception methods selection behavior . Majority respondent is in 30- 39 years age group, with educational attainment high school, and most of them is housewives. Conclusions: Majority female contraception users in Pekanbaru had improper contraception methods selection behavior

Abstract

Latrine utilisation is a form of sanitation to keep healthy environment. The problem is latrine utilisation affected by knowledge, behavior, education, attitude, and economy. According to Join Monitoring Program (JMP) WHO/UNICEF 2015, 51 milion indonesian people still defecate in random place. 12,9% Indonesian people did’t have appropriate latrine. Data from public health centre of Selat Panjang’s on 2018, there are 3 villages with low sanitation in Selat Panjang, Kepau Baru is the first villages with very low point, Teluk Buntal is the second and Tanjung Gadai is the third village. Where is health appropriate latrine is very rare, in contrast with 7 other villages in Selat Panjang. Located in Meranti archipelago, Selat Panjang consist of 10 remote villages that difficult to access and had their very own culture. Research conducting in Tanjung Gadai village because its more accessible than the other two villages, and the language is easy to understand. Research aim to know the relationship between knowledge of healthy latrines and latrines utilisation behavior in Tanjung Gadai village Meranti Island. This study used observational analytic study with a Cross Sectional approach. The research was conducted in the village of Tanjung Gadai, Meranti Islands Regency. The sampling technique used is Stratified Propotionate Random Sampling and tested statistically using the Correlation Test Spearman. The research result showed that there is significant relationship between the respondents’ knowledge and their behaviour in using toilet at Tanjung Gadai village, regency of Meranti Archipelago 0,017. ρ <0.05, Hence, there is significant relationship between the knowledge about t healthy latrines and latrines utilisation behavior in Tanjung Gadai village, Meranti Archipelago Regency.

Abstract

Pandemi Coronavirus Disease-2019 (COVID-19) sudah berlangsung hingga 2 tahun. Salah satu upaya yang dilakukan untuk mencegah penyebaran pandemi diantaranya menerapkan protokol kesehatan. Setelah 2 tahun pandemi banyak masyarakat mengabaikan protokol kesehatan. Hal ini menyebabkan percepatan penularan kasus, dimana masa inkubasi penyakit menjadi semakin pendek. Puskesmas Sidomulyo Rawat Inap terletak di Kecamatan Tampan termasuk memiliki jumlah sebaran kasus COVID-19 tertinggi di Pekanbaru. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui gambaran tingkat kepatuhan masyarakat dalam penerapan protokol kesehatan setelah 2 tahun pandemi COVID-19 di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Sidomulyo Rawat Inap. Penelitian ini merupakan observasional analitik dengan desain studi cross sectional. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah Accidental sampling. Penelitian menggunakan kuesioner tentang perilaku protokol kesehatan penggunaan masker, mencuci tangan, menghindari kerumunan, menjaga jarak, menghindari berjabat tangan, membawa handsanitizer dari rumah. Hasilnya didapat tingkat kepatuhan masyarakat terhadap penerapan seluruh protokol kesehatan COVID-19 termasuk rendah yaitu hanya 19,03%. Meskipun, mayoritas memiliki tingkat kepatuhan yang baik dalam menggunakan masker ketika keluar rumah yaitu sebanyak 73,9%.
