Abstract

Slopes can be formed naturally due to geological processes or human engineering as a link between the higher ground surface and the lower ground surface. Soil conditions must be stable so as not to cause landslides. Knowing the stability of a slope can be done by analyzing slope stability using the Circular Slope method and the GeoStudio 2012 Software Slope/W program. Data properties obtained from direct shear strength testing. After doing the research, it shows that using the Circular Slope method the Woptimum condition water content is 28.08%, the slope is in critical condition (slides have occurred) because it obtained a safety factor value of 1.179 (F between 1.07 - 1.25). In dry conditions, the water content is 25.272%, the safety factor value of the slope is in critical condition (slides have occurred) because it obtained a safety factor value of 1.082 (F between 1.07 - 1.25) and in conditions of 22.464% water content, the safety factor value of the slope in unstable conditions (ordinary/frequent landslides) because the safety factor values were 1.06 and 0.97 (F < 1.07 ). In the wetting condition, namely the water content of 30.888% and 33.696%, the safety factor value of the slope is in unstable conditions (ordinary landslides/occurs frequently) because the safety factor values are 0.883 and 0.751 (F < 1.07). Analysis of slope stability on the Alahan Panjang road using the GeoStudio 2012 Software Slope/W application uses three methods, namely Ordinary, Janbu and Bishop. The results of the three methods show that the effects of drying and wetting cause slopes to be in an unstable condition (slips usually occur), this is indicated by a safety factor value of <1.07.

Abstract

The constraint in the course "Road Pavement Construction" is the insufficient availability of teaching hours during the practical sessions. This research was conducted with the aim of evaluating the extent of effectiveness in implementing educational materials using the Flip PDF Professional application in the context of teaching the course of road pavement construction. The study employed a quasi-experimental design as its research approach. Data were collected through the use of tests, comprising a pretest and a posttest. The evaluation in this study was conducted in two phases, namely the initial phase and the final phase. The pretest phase was used to measure the similarities between the two groups, while the posttest phase was used to measure the learning outcomes' progress. According to the results of this research, Flip PDF Professional exhibited an efficiency rate of 62.07% in the course of road pavement construction, which falls under the moderately effective category. In specific situations such as during the Covid-19 pandemic, the use of alternative learning tools like e-jobsheets with the Flip PDF Professional application in the course of road pavement construction becomes relevant.

Abstract

Masalah yang dihadapi dalam mengajar Estimasi Biaya Konstruksi di kelas XII BKP SMK Negeri 1 Sumatera Barat adalah karena cara mengajar yang belum cocok dengan karakteristik mata pelajaran dan juga pemahaman materi yang kurang, sehingga siswa memiliki hasil belajar yang rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi dampak dari penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas XII BKP SMK Negeri 1 Sumatera Barat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Quasi eksperimen dengan desain Grup Kontrol Pretest-Posttest. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XII SMK Negeri 1 Sumatera Barat tahun ajaran 2023/2024, siswa kelas XII BKP dan XII DPIB. Pengujian instrumen dilakukan di SMK Negeri 5 Padang, dengan melibatkan 30 siswa kelas XII BKP sebagai sampel. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes hasil belajar yang terdiri dari 25 soal objektif, termasuk pre-test, post-test, dan gain score. Analisis data menggunakan uji perbedaan rata-rata (uji-t). Hasil uji-t menunjukkan bahwa (2,133) ≥ (2,002), mengindikasikan penolakan terhadap Ho dan penerimaan Ha. Dengan demikian, temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) memiliki dampak positif terhadap hasil belajar Estimasi Biaya Konstruksi di kelas XII BKP SMK Negeri 1 Sumatera Barat.

Abstract

The background of the research problem is that the study aims to reveal the Implementation of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Induction in the Internship Program at the Civil Engineering Department Workshop, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Negeri Padang. The type of research used is descriptive research through a quantitative approach. This research was conducted at the Civil Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Negeri Padang. The technique used to collect data in this study was through the questionnaire method distributed to the respondents. The respondents in this research were 8 lecturers, including 3 lecturers teaching in the wood workshop, 3 lecturers teaching in the concrete stone workshop, and 2 lecturers teaching in the plumbing and sanitation workshop, using the total sampling technique. The results of the analysis of the implementation of OHS induction in terms of 5 indicators are as follows: the OHS procedures achieved a score of 84.37% (Good), compliance with applicable regulations achieved a score of 85.41% (Good), understanding the importance of OHS achieved a score of 97.91% (Good), OHS information achieved a score of 95.83% (Good), and potential hazards achieved a score of 95.83% (Good). This means that the implementation of OHS induction in the workshop's internship program falls under the high category with an achievement rate of 91.87%.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektivitas pemanfaatan E-learning pada mata kuliah plumbing dan sanitasi dimasa pelaksanaan pembelajaran daring yang diakibatkan oleh covid-19 pada angkatan 2020. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu penelitian Expost Facto menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Sampel penelitian ini sebanyak 58 mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Bangunan angkatan 2020 yang telah melaksanakan mata kuliah Praktik Plumbing dan Sanitasi. Berdasarkan Hasil penelitian Efektivitas Pemanfaatan E-Learning pada Mata Kuliah Praktik Plumbing dan Sanitasi di Era Pandemi Covid-19 termasuk efektif dengan Total Derajat Pencapaian dari dua Indikator yang terdiri dari 9 Sub Indikator 81,68%. Hasil penelitian pada setiap indikator yaitu: mutu pengajaran dengan skor 84,05% dalam kategori Efektif. tingkat pengajaran yang tepat dengan skor 82,75% termasuk dalam kategroi Efektif. Sub indikator insentif dengan skor 78,66% termasuk dalam kategori cukup Efektif. Sub indikator yaitu waktu dengan skor 81,46% termasuk dalam kategroi Efektif. Pemanfaatan teknologi informasi dengan skor 82,65% termasuk dalam kategori Efektif. Sedangkan penggunaan digital media/ internet memperoleh skor 78,73% dengan kategori cukup Efektif. selanjutnya sub indikator materi pembelajaran yang dapat disimpan memperoleh skor 83,79% termasuk dalam kategori Efektif. Pendekatan pembelajaran mandiri memperoleh skor 78,59% dengan kategori cukup Efektif dan otomatis proses pembelajaran memperoleh skor 84,33% dengan kategori Efektif. Hal ini berarti tingkat Efektivitas pada proses pembelajaran mata kuliah Praktik Plumbing dan Sanitasi dinilai Efektif dengan menggunakan E-Learning.

Abstract

The Sumatra Fault produces a high annual rate of earthquakes, with many large earthquakes occurring at shallow depths. The aim of this research is to understand the characteristics of earthquakes originating from the Sumatra Fault Zone based on their ground motion parameters. Ground motion earthquake recordings were obtained from accelerograph sensors in West Sumatra over the period 2008-2018. Seven earthquake accelerogram events were analyzed, consisting of EQ1 (MW 6.6), EQ2 (MW 5.4), EQ3 (MW 5.8), EQ4 (MW 5.5), EQ5 (MW 5.5), EQ6 (MW 5.7), and EQ7 (MW 5.2). The research results indicate that PGA values range between 2-36 Gal for the horizontal component and 1.5-10 Gal for the vertical component. The average frequency content of the earthquakes ranges from 0.3-10 Hz. The PSA values for EQ1, EQ2, EQ3, EQ4, EQ5, EQ6, and EQ7 are 0.009 g, 0.177 g, 0.016 g, 0.054 g, 0.057 g, 0.027 g, and 0.033 g, respectively, which are still far below the EDRS SNI 1726 2019. The response spectra of EQ2, EQ4, EQ5, and EQ7 recorded in the city of Padang have high amplitudes in the period range of 0.06-0.2 seconds. Meanwhile, EQ1, EQ3, and EQ6 recorded in the city of Bukittinggi have high amplitudes in the period range of 0.5-1.2 seconds. The Arias intensity parameters range from 0.03-0.61 cm/s for the horizontal component and 0.02-0.09 cm/s for the vertical component.

Abstract

The Sumatra subduction zone is a seismically active region due to the subduction of the Indo-Australian and Eurasian tectonic plates. The purpose of this research is to determine the ground motion attenuation equation based on earthquake records that have occurred in the Sumatra subduction zone. Ground acceleration data from earthquakes obtained from accelerographs between 2008 and 2018 were used. From the collection of ground acceleration data, 101 earthquake events with 150 ground acceleration data were obtained. The ground acceleration data were adjusted to match the earthquake events to obtain earthquake source parameters. Through multiple linear regression analysis, the attenuation equation for earthquake events in the Sumatra subduction zone was obtained as Log PGA = 3.3501 - 1.6217LogRh + 0.181Mw + 0.1321, where PGA represents the maximum ground acceleration, Rh represents the hypocenter distance, and Mw represents the moment magnitude. Compared to several other attenuation equations, this attenuation equation is relatively good and closely approximates the observed PGA results with a relatively strong correlation level of 0.785 and a small error level of 0.437.

Abstract

Vulnerability assessment of the building has been conducted at the Prodia Health Clinic building in Padang city. Microtremor data was used, and the main data from this research comprised seismic wave data processed through a series of software such as GPL, Cygwin, Bido 2.02, and Geopsy. This processing yielded the natural frequency values of the building structure under investigation. The research method involved the use of the FSR (Floor Spectral Ratio) method to estimate various transfer function parameters (such as amplification, natural frequency, and vulnerability index) and the RDM (Random Decrement Method) method to characterize the dynamic properties of the building (such as damping ratio and natural frequency). The results of the research indicated a strong relationship between the FSR and RDM methods, producing accurate damping ratios through the validation of the natural frequencies obtained from both methods. In the context of the research findings, the natural frequency values obtained were 2.92 – 3.80 Hz for the FSR method and 4.01 – 4.24 Hz for the RDM method. Using the HVSR method, the natural frequency of the ground yielded a value of 0.399392 Hz and an Amplification (Ao) of 0.50324. Concerning the vulnerability of the ground, it was found that the area around the Prodia Health Clinic building in Padang city tends to experience lower damage in the event of an earthquake. Based on the drift angle calculation, it can be concluded that the 4th floor of the Prodia Health Clinic building in Padang city, in the x-direction, has a higher risk of damage compared to other floors when responding to earthquake vibrations with seismic motion (α) of 398 gal and 450 gal.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has changed the learning system to distance learning or Online so that learning is implemented online. In the education sector, online learning is an effort to prevent the transmission of Covid-19 and the school at SMKN 2 Panyabungan implements online learning. This study aims to see how students' perceptions of online learning policies during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study aims to see how students' perceptions of online learning and facilitate communication remotely. This research uses quantitative descriptive research. The data collection technique used is in the form of a statement questionnaire with answers Strongly Agree (SS), Agree (S), Strongly Disagree (STS), Disagree (TS) face-to-face to respondents. Respondents in this study were class XI students of SMKN 2 Panyabungan Mandailing Natal Regency, North Sumatra Province. In this study, to analyze the results of questionnaires and student perceptions, descriptive analysis was carried out. The total respondents were 60 students taken by random sampling. The results of this study, using the SPSS application, found a mean of 93.933, median of 92.000, mode of 90.00, std. Deviation of 3.759, minimum of 89.00, maximum of 99.00, sum of 5636.00 so that the Degree of Achievement (DP) of 90.32% is categorized as Very Good. The most common obstacle encountered and experienced is not achieving the connection in the classroom.

Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan suatu kebutuhan yang sangat penting di era globalisasi saat ini, konsekuensi dari penutupan lembaga pendidikan secara fisik dan diganti dengan belajar dari rumah sebagaimana kebijakan pemerintah adalah bertujuan untuk memutus penyebaran virus COVID-19. Namun dengan adanya perubahan sistem belajar mengajar, pengelola sekolah, siswa, orang tua, dan guru harus bermigrasi dan beradaptasi ke sistem pembelajaran digital atau online yang telah di kenal pada saat ini sistem e-learning. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana Perbandingan hasil belajar Estimasi biaya konstruksi dalam pembelajaran daring dan luring pada siswa kelas XI DPIB SMK Negeri 1 Pariaman. Penelitian ini dlakukan dengan tes Latihan soal secara onfline. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMK Negeri 1 Pariaman peserta didik kelas XI jurusan DPIB yang terdaftar pada tahun ajaran 2021/2022 untuk mata pelajaran Estimasi Biaya Konstruksi. Sampel Pada penelitian ini diperoleh kelas XIDPIB1a sebagai kelas eksperimen berjumlah 28 orang dan kelas XIDPIB2b sebagai kelas kontrol yang berjumlah 24 orang. Hasil Penelitian kelas eksperimen mendapatkan nilai rata-rata 75,357, sedangkan kelas kontrol mendapatkan nilai rata-rata 67,156. Hasil perhitungan hipotesis pada taraf signifikan α=0,05 didapatkan thitung> ttabel yaitu (3,464 > 1,676), karena thitung besar dari ttabel, maka hipotesis nihil (Ho) ditolak dan hipotesis alternatif (Ha) diterima. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran luring lebih baik dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran daring.
