Abstract

Character Education Strengthening is an educational movement under the responsibility of educational units to strengthen the character of students through harmonization of heart, taste, thought, and body with involvement and collaboration between educational units, families, and communities as part of the National Movement of Mental Revolution (GNRM). The importance of the Character Education Strengthening (PPK) policy, given that Indonesia is facing the 21st century marked by various global trends, namely the ongoing fourth industrial revolution, changes in civilization, the more stringent the phenomenon of the creative age.

Abstract

The most susceptible case which happen in a household this time is infidelity, this thing even become the most scary specter in a household life. Relation of husband and wife is not the only thing that be broken, the most unfortunate victims are the children who were born in family living that should be given the main affection. That case will be anticipated by ‘Upanisad’ which be base to avoid the infidelity. Upanisad is scripture which discuss about the virtue of ‘Brahman’, trip of ‘Atman’, until going to mortality. Teachings of Upanisad were made for a guidance of self actualization of religious peoples to anticipate the infidelity.

Abstract

The life context of a multidimensional and multicultural society requires guidance in safeguarding the universal values of religions. Kodam IX /Udayana is one of the government institutions that routinely implements dharma santi nyepi with various dynamics. This dynamic arose from the differences in the perspective of soldiers and PNS TNI Kodam IX / Udayana. The problems that discussed in this study include: the dynamics of dharma santi nyepi at Kodam IX / Udayana, factors that cause the dynamics of dharma santi nyepi at Kodam IX / Udayana, and the impact of dharma santi nyepi on the performance of soldiers and TNI PNS Hindu at Kodam IX / Udayana. Problem formulation in this study was dissected using the Theory of Social Change, Structural Functional Theory, System Theory, and Symbolic Interactionism Theory. The method used in this study is a qualitative research method. The data collection techniques used include: interviews, observation, and library techniques. The analysis of the data used is descriptive qualitative. The results obtained in this study are 1) The dynamics of the meaning of dharma santi nyepi experience expansion and narrowing. Dynamics The form of implementation of dharma santi nyepi in Kodam IX / Udayana is generally carried out formally and informally. The dharma santi nyepi activity at Kodam IX / Udayana received support in the form of emotional support, instrumental support and informative support. 2) Factors that caused the dynamics of dharma santi nyepi were due to internal factors such as the presence of new innovations, the Udayana Military Command / IX Commander and the Kodam IX / Udayana Military and Civil Servants Authority and external factor such as incidental activities and cultural influences outside Kodam IX / Udayana. 3) The impact of dharma santi nyepi at Kodam IX / Udayana such as increasing faith and piety, increasing nationalism and patriotism, increasing harmony among religious people, and increasing the professionalism of the performance of TNI soldiers and PNS TNI Kodam IX / Udayana.

Abstract

Hindu talks much about heaven and hell differently from other religion’s explanation. Heaven and hell are closely related and integrated with Karma. Stories in some puranas discuss much about this escatology. On of the text in Indonesia talking much about this is Geguritan Atma prasangsa. This work descriptively describes in detail about heaven and hell, how a man can come to into heaven or hell, what happenes with the soul coming into hell, what kind of penalty applied, and also the principals. This texs tells in good sequences type of death including those wich cause the soul unable to find its way home. The texs also tells about how the soul screamed for being tortured the by the hell authority. And also the kind of perceived by the soul in heaven. How long a soul should be punished in hell or enjoy the heaven before finally reincarnated back to the word. After all joys and miseries experienced by the soul in accordance with their conducts during life finished, the soul sould be reincarnated to continue the journey.

Abstract

Modern style of living tends to accentuate the luxury that leads to the affection of physical pleasure and sensual pleasure. This will require more variety of needs that must be fulfilled and will have an impact on the work of the mind. If not there will be condition of lack of ability to control thoughts which can arise mental pressure, anxiety and eventually become stressful. If this condition is allowed, sleep will become difficult. People who have difficulty of sleeping are called insomnia. Therefore, on this study was carried out with the title "Insomnia: How Yoga Overcome It." The formulation of the problem presented in this study concerns three things, namely 1) why do people who experience insomnia may be viewed from the yoga perspective? and 2) how does yoga overcome insomnia? Both problems are elaborated by applying the theory of yoga which was assisted by several methods. In collecting the data, the observation and the interviews were utilized, while in describing and analyzing the data, the descriptive and the interpretative method were applied. According to the study, the insomnia is part of dhuka telu 'three types of suffering /pain', namely adyatmika dhuka pain caused by inability to control the nature and fluctuations of mind '. For this reason yoga has a way of overcoming it with the practice of abhiyasa and wairagya 'patience, diligence and sincerity in practicing yoga'. The form of asanas that is very influential in overcoming insomnia is doing a series of Surya Namaskara movements with its prenatal system, relaxing by taking savasana and the Gayatri Mantram puja when starting the yoga practice and Prativi Stava when having relaxation.

Abstract

This research was conducted based on the author's interest towards the science of human philosophy. In this research the author appoint human philosophy inside one of the Balinese text named Tutur Raré Angon, because of the teachings contained are very important and interesting to do research, preserved and passed on to the next generation of Hindus. The nature of being human is very important, after knowing that, the readers will be more undertand about what to do to be a qualified person. This research can improve Hinduism's understanding of human concepts in Hindu literature through Tutur Raré Angon's texts. There are three issues discussed in this study, namely : 1) Human Existence In the text of Tutur Raré Angon's (2) Epistemic Structure In the text of Tutur Raré Angon's (3) Moral Aspects in Tutur Raré Angon's text. This study is a descriptive qualitative text or manuscript research. The primary data source in this study is the text of Tutur Raré Angon's. Data collection is done using the reading and writing techniques and literature study. The collected data is then analyzed using descriptive techniques, structural analysis, and text interpretation. The results of data analysis are presented in the form of descriptions. The results of this study are human existence in the text of Tutur Raré Angon's including (1) individuals and (2) religious. The epistemic structure in the Tutur Raré Angon text includes (1) Belief, (2) Truth and (3) Humans gain knowledge. Human morality in Tutur Raré Angon's texts includes (1) Goodness, Relationship with fellow humans and (3) Moral with nature.

Abstract

Hindu religious education which has been carried out in the realm of formal, non-formal and informal education. The Dvipantara Samskrtam Foundation which is a non-formal education institution is able to integrate Hindu religious education with Sanskrit learning, not only in the cognitive domain, but also in the affective and psychomotor domains. There are a number of problems to be discussed in this study: 1) What is the form of Sanskrit learning at the Dvipantara Samskrtam Foundation? 2) What problems are faced in learning Sanskrit on the Dvipantara Samskrtam Foundation? Sanskrit in the Dvipantara Samskrtam Foundation. The results of this study indicate: 1) The form of Sanskrit learning in the Dvipantara Samskrtam Foundation can be seen in terms of the learning process, which includes a learning approach using socio-emotional approaches, active learning interactions from educators, students, students and students educators, components in the interaction of learning by using media images, hand gestures, using direct learning models (direct instruction), 2) Problems faced include factors such as perception, attitude, and motivation, while external factors include educators, climate learning, and infrastructure. 3) Integration of Hindu religious education in Sanskrit learning on the Dvipantara Samskrtam Foundation includes: cognitive, affective domains, and psychomotor domains.

Abstract

The village community still holds to the tradition in the midst of the current globalization. People still hold on to local wisdom inherited from generation to generation. This is also done by the community in preserving the environment. The people of Penglipuran Pakraman Village adheres to Hinduism so that Hindu theology influence is certainly very strong. Based on this background, it is investigated more deeply about the environmental concepts based on Hindu theology, the implementation of environmental management system based on Hindu Theology, and the environmental sustainability implications in Penglipuran Pakraman village in socio cultural and religious. To discuss the problem is used several theories they are: Hermeneutics Theory, Symbol Theory, Functionalism Structural Theory. The results of the research are: There are local Theological concepts in Pakraman Penglipuran village which are deeply in harmony with Hindu Theology establishing the confidence of the people to guard the preservation of the environment such as the worship of Ratu Sakti Empu Naluah. This is in accordance with the Vedic teachings that strongly prohibit forest destruction. Pakraman Penglipuran village include: Environmental management system in PenglipuranPakraman Village is really simple but all the system works properly. The rules are clear and the enforcement is also firm so that the community is very obedient to the customary law. The implementation of the Hindu Theology concept is also manifested in religious rituals. The implications of environmental sustainability for the rural life of Pakraman PenglipuranVillage include the socio-cultural and religious implications. Socially Pakraman Penglipuran Village as a tourist destination brings implications to the economy of the community. The income of the population increases because they no longer rely solely on livelihoods in the agricultural sector. The findings of this study (1) the strategy of the Penglipuran community to take a middle way between maintaining traditional values in managing the environment and adapting to the progress of modern era by deviding the living space into two, the front maintaining traditional values while the back part follows the modern era (2) The strength of the community maintains traditional values in managing the environment because of the theological that had been internalized in each individual in the community, (3) Penglipuran became village model that perfomed well environmental management.

Abstract

Geguritan is one form of Balinese literature. Writing geguritan is always bound by rules called padalingsa. Geguritan is useful as a guide and guideline in carrying out life about good behavior procedures. Wirotama Geguritan is one of the geguritan in Bali which is composed of several pupuh, namely Pupuh Dandang, Pupuh Sinom, Pupuh Semarandana, Pupuh Durma, Pupuh Ginada, Pupuh Ginanti, Pupuh Pangkur, and Pupuh Kumambang.The method used is the library method and documentation method, and the collected data is analyzed according to steps such as reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. Data that has been analyzed is presented in an informal method because it is presented using words, sentences and language from general to special or deductive-inductive.The results of the study concluded (1) The narrative structure of Geguritan Wirotama included: incidents, in the story there were seven incidents that began with I Lagawa finding a child in the forest; the plot used is a straight groove; characterizations found in Geguritan Wirotama, I Lagawalan I Sugati, Raden Dewidan, others; the setting or setting includes place and social settings; the theme in geguritan ways is self-confidence; the mandate contained in this geguritan is implementing something must be with confidence and sincerity so as to obtain good results. (2) Character Education Values ​​in Geguritan Wirotama are analyzed to find out and see how the story is delivered through the characters namely Wirotama, Radendewi, Sri Mahayani which is a symbol of the scale and niskala; (3) Wirotama's geguritan function.

Abstract

Crimes against women (paradara) often occured in people's lives. Moral degradation and decency as one of the opposite causes, the victims were Hindu women, such as rape, adultery, sexual abuse and child copulation. Hindu women used the object of abuse for the perpetrators of paradara. Paradara and dispute laws were laws that could be accepted according to the provisions of the Criminal Code and also the provisions of Law No. 23 of 2002 and Law No. I7 of 2016 concerning the protection of children with a maximum prison sentence of 20 years. Paradara and following the moral dispute, which took place in the city of Denpasar, carried out by individuals or groups of people in connection with Hindu women were seen as being weak and easily harassed by supporters. Women in Hinduism were very respected and also honored, because Hindu women who gave birth succeeded in winning the continuity of Hinduism. Once approved, the woman would receive prosperity and where women were harassed then the misery and destruction would be obtained. If there was a crime, Paradara applied Hindu law as a death sentence, the purpose of the application of punishment is to provide peace and harmony
