Along with the increase of vehicle ownership, progress in the field of industry and commerce, and the distribution of goods and services led to increased traffic volume. Jambi City Government through the Department of Public Works and Spatial Planning has a special program to improve the quality of roads in several locations in Jambi City to realize “Jambi Bangkit 2018”. One is a project to increase the capacity of Sunan Giri Street. Road status of the city is an alternative way that every day is always crowded with vehicles, especially peak hour in the morning and afternoon. Therefore, a much needed additional capacity on the road section with the hope to meet the elements of smoothness, comfort, security and safety of road users. However, based on results of the review in the field, still found some problems related to road safety. Recommendations are given is that with the addition of temporary traffic sign, hazard management, procurement officer traffic controller at a busy time (Peak Hour) and to equip workers PPE project to improve safety during construction.

Along with development, the need for road use is very important. Good for people who are in pedessaan and urban. Especially create the welfare of society that will be able to achieve these goals. Transportation in Indonesia is primarily ground transportation very often used by road users. Many problems arise such as congestion, accidents and other problems. The government has well planned road infrastructure and users are required to maintain existing facilities. Lane separator (median) which is a facility that affect the traffic characteristics. The placement and impact of road construction is taken into account. The density of vehicles that occurred in Simpang Matraman Salemba, due to the high volume of traffic that the delay in APILL not be able to accommodate the entire volume of traffic flowing through Simpang Matraman- Salemba. Thus while the plan drafted by the Department of Highways namely Jakarta Underpass Construction of Matraman-Salemba. Underpass construction plan-Salemba Matraman is located at the intersection of Jalan Matraman Raya gathering, Jalan Matraman, and Jalan Pramuka - Central Jakarta, which would lead to changes in the characteristics of the traffic from the construction process until after the operation of the underpass. Matraman-Salemba Underpass construction carried out by the Highways Department of the Government of Jakarta located at the intersection of Jalan Matraman Raya gathering, Jalan Matraman, and Jalan Pramuka - Central Jakarta. Traffic accident is the transportation problem that needs to be addressed immediately. During the year 2015 – 2016 recorded as many as 258 accidents happened on highways in Surabaya-Gresik. The purpose of this research is to identify areas prone to accidents on highways Surabaya – Gresik and handling efforts to reduce accidents. This study uses secondary data, namely data obtained from a crash in pt. Margabumi Matraraya and the data analysis using the method of EAN (Equivalent Accident Number) and analyzed to obtain the accident-prone areas with using the method of BKA (Control Over) and the UCL (Upper Control Limit). The results of the analysis show that there are 5 point accident-prone location i.e. KM 07 08, KM, KM 12, KM 15, and 16 KM. Efforts to reduce the accidents mitigation on accident-prone location is performing actions such as technical barriers, installation location warning accident-prone, marka profile, warning lamp, , rumble strip, VMS, and road study.

Agung Mosque intersection in Kab. Karo has some very complicated problems. The high volume of traffic, canalization traffic flow is less than optimal, conflict high traffic and road facilities are inadequate and the need for management of traffic engineering by using the analysis based on the Transport Research Laboratory, which has been used by a few countries in the world , Then using these methods are proposed recommendations on the intersection of Agung Mosque Kab.Karo, such as widening the road, adding a traffic island, repair cycle time and green time between (Intergreen) adding facilities and infrastructure of the road. Bus stops or shelters are places for boarding and boarding passengers, usually placed on the bus service network. In the center of the city is placed at a distance of 300 to 500 m and in the suburbs between 500 to 1000 m.Between other functions of the bus stop into a means of transit for a journey, allowing passengers to find a means of transportation to a destination. Zebra cross is one of the transportation infrastructure used as a crossing for pedestrian who will cross the road. However, pedestrian awareness to cross the road in the zebra cross is still very less. World Health Organization (WHO) data states, 22% of casualty victims are pedestrian. That figure is equivalent to 747 pedestrians killed per day. In order to increase pedestrian traffic safety awareness to cross the road in the zebra cross, Polres Pekalongan City to innovate the making of zebra cross batik. Pekalongan City Police Station, Central Java, will make batik-ornamented zebra cross at 46 points in the local jurisdiction. One of the zebra cross batik is located in Simpang Hayam Wuruk Street square and Jalan Wahid Hasyim. In this study, a study was conducted to determine the degree of influence of zebra cross batik on pedestrian behavior while crossing at Jalan Hayam Wuruk and Jalan Wahid Hasyim. Based on the opportunities and high creativity, should be utilized by making zebra cross batik in an effort to increase awareness of traffic safety behavior on the crossers. The method in this research is research and development. Semarang merupakan kota yang dapat dikategorikan sebagai metropolitan. Dengan keterbatasan lahan untuk dijadikan jalan serta jumlah kendaraan pribadi yang terus bertambah mengakibatkan tingkat kemacetan yang akan bertambah, dengan ruas-ruas jalan utama di Kota Semarang pada jam tertentu. Transportasi umum menjadi pilihan untuk mengurangi kemacetan yang selalu meningkat di tiap tahunnya. Salah satu transportasi umum yang ada di Kota Semarang adalah Bus Rapid Transit Trans Semarang.Studi ini menganalisis waktu tunggu Bus Rapid Transit Trans Semarang di Halte Simpang Limadan Halte Kampung Pelangi Kota Semarang. Tujuan dari studi ini adalah untuk menganalisa hubungan jumlah penumpang dengan waktu pelayanan Bus Rapid Transit Trans Semarang. Proses pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode perekaman selama 5 jam di Halte BRT Trans Semarang Simpang Lima dan Halte Kampung Pelangi pada hari Selasa. Materi hasil perekaman kemudian di transkrip dan dianalisis. Dari analisis tersebut kemudian didapat jumlah pengguna Bus Rapid Transit Trans Semarang di Halte Simpang Lima Kota Semarang selama 5 jam sebanyak 190 kejadian, kemudian di Halte Bus Rapid Transit Kampung Pelangi didapatkan sejumlah 63 kejadian dengan waktu pelayanan yang beragam. Hasil analisis tersebut berguna sebagai bahan pengkajian bagi pengelola untuk meningkatkan kualitas waktu pelayanan Bus Rapid Transit Trans Semarang.

Sistem yang berkeselamatan pada keselamatan jalan adalah memahami pentingnya transportasi bagi masyarakat, dan mendukung pandangan bahwa perjalanan harus berkeselamatan bagi semua pengguna jalan. Jogger merupakan toko oleh-oleh khas Bali yang mengambil sektor pariwisata cukup besar di Bali. Banyaknya pengunjung yang datang tentunya berdampak pada keadaan lalu lintas di jalan sekitas Jogger. Kondisi fasilitas pejalan kaki yang belum memadai dan tidak adanya tempat penyebrangan di ruas Jalan Raya Kuta juga menjadi pelengkap permasalahan yang ada di ruas Jalan Raya Kuta. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kondisi eksisting pada ruas Jalan Raya Kuta, menentukan desain fasilitas pejalan kaki yang susai standar kebutuhan, membuat desain jalur pemberhentian atau penurunan penumpang Jogger. Metode penelitian secara kuantitatif digunakan pada penelitian ini sehingga memperoleh data kualitatif yang disajikan dalam bentuk angka seperti angka hasil survei volume lalu lintas, angka hasil survei kecepatan kendaraan, angka hasil survei volume pejalan kaki, angka hasil perhitungan arus pejalan kaki, angka hasil perhitungan ruang pejalan kaki, angka hasil perhitungan kerapatan pejalan kaki.Dari hasil survei dan perhitungan yang dilakukan menyatakan bahwa kondisi ruas jalan dan penilaian fasilitas pejalan kaki di ruas jalan Raya Kuta masih sangat kurang. Maka dari itu dibuatlah beberapa rekomendasi yaitu pembuatan jalur pemberhentian penumpang Jogger dan perbaikan fasilitas pejalan kaki yaitu re-design trotoar dan penambahan jembetan penyebrangan orang.
