Abstract

This research aims to increase user satisfaction of the Digital Population Identity (IKD) application by redesigning the user interface (UI/UX). The design features of the IKD application lack intuitiveness and have limited features, thus hindering people's interest in using the application. For this reason, a solution is needed to redesign the user interface (UI/UX) using the Design Thinking method and apply five design stages in the form of Design Thinking (Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Testing), then this research produces a prototype of the IKD application. easier to use with test results using the System Usability Scale (SUS) showing that the prototype produced a score of 78, which is in the "GOOD" category, and shows that the redesigned IKD application meets user expectations in terms of ease of use and better experience

Abstract

Klasifikasi tulang tengkorak berdasarkan jenis kelamin merupakan langkah utama pada antropologi forensik dalam mengidentifikasi profil sisa-sisa kerangka. Klasifikasi jenis kelamin bertujuan untuk menentukan apakah kerangka tertentu adalah milik laki-laki atau perempuan. Penelitian ini berfokus pada klasifikasi tulang tengkorak berdasarkan jenis kelamin dengan menggunakan teknik pembelajaran mesin tingkat lanjut, khususnya Backpropagation Neural Network (BPNN). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menunjukkan kinerja BPNN. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini diperoleh dari Dr. William Howells, meliputi pengukuran kraniometri dari 2524 sampel tengkorak laki-laki dan perempuan, dengan 86 variabel seperti lebar bizygomatic dan panjang glabello-oksipital. Teknik BPNN digunakan karena kemampuannya untuk memodelkan hubungan yang kompleks dan tidak linier. Kinerja model ini dievaluasi dengan menggunakan metrik standar akurasi. Pembagian data latih dan data uji menggunakan k-fold cross-validation dengan k = 10. Penelitian ini menjalankan dua skenario uji, yaitu menggunakan satu hidden layer dan dua hidden layer. Untuk masing-masing model arsitektur menggunakan learning rate sebagai parameter uji, yaitu 0,1; 0,01; dan 0,001. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan pembelajaran mesin dapat secara efektif membedakan antara tulang tengkorak laki-laki dan perempuan, dengan akurasi rata-rata 92,32% untuk satu hidden layer dan 90,74% untuk dua hidden layer. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan, model klasifikasi tulang tengkorak manusia berbasis gender dengan menggunakan jaringan syaraf tiruan backpropagation sangat disarankan sebagai teknik yang berhasil dalam mengklasifikasikan tulang tengkorak manusia.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the need for a more practical and systematic cat feeding device. Irregularities in feeding cats can have negative impacts on their health, such as digestive problems and malnutrition. The aim of this study is to design and develop an automatic cat feeder that effectively regulates feeding according to predetermined times. The method used is the prototype method, which includes stages such as data collection, planning, design, prototype development, and testing. This device uses Arduino Uno as the main controller, with additional components such as an RTC to set feeding schedules, a servo motor to open and close the food container, a load sensor to measure the food weight, and a buzzer as an alarm when food runs low. The system also utilizes a solar panel as a power source. The results show that the automatic cat feeder functions as expected, capable of delivering food on time and in the desired portions. Additionally, the device operates well using solar power as its main energy source.

Abstract

Machine lubricants are essential materials used to reduce friction between two moving surfaces, improve machine efficiency, and extend the lifespan of components. This study aims to predict the sales volume of machine lubricants at PT. X using the Naïve Bayes algorithm. The data used includes attributes such as year, month, material description, total allocation, realization, and remaining allocation, with a total of 3,006 data points obtained from PT. X's Warehouse Management System (WMS). The model was tested using the 10-Fold Cross Validation method and testsing without such validation. The test results show an accuracy of 71% with 10-Fold Cross Validation, compared to 14% without validation. Additional testing showed an accuracy of 5%, with RMSE of 124.71 and MAPE of 0.95. Based on these results, it is recommended to optimize data preprocessing, such as handling data imbalance and feature normalization, to improve prediction accuracy. Furthermore, using more diverse validation techniques, such as stratified cross-validation, can provide more stable evaluations. Given that predictions are influenced solely by historical data, it is recommended to periodically update the data to keep the model relevant and accurate. This research is expected to assist PT. X in planning sales strategies and managing lubricant stock more effectively.

Abstract

In this research, an analysis of public sentiment towards presidential candidate pairs in Indonesia in 2024 was carried out via the social media Instagram. Indonesia itself is one of the countries with the highest number of Instagram users. One of the Instagram posts that is currently in the public spotlight found on the kompascom, najwashihab, and detikcom accounts which post news about the 2024 presidential candidate pairs. In these comments there are various kinds of comments ranging from positive things such as support to negative things such as commenting on the shortcomings of each candidate pair, for this reason text classification is carried out to find out public opinion about the presidential candidate pair. The comment classification process in this research uses the Naïve Bayes algorithm to determine positive, neutral and negative values from thousands of comments. The method that will be applied uses the Python programming language with confusion matrix testing to determine the level of accuracy in the model. Based on the test results, it can be concluded that the use of the Naïve Bayes algorithm used as a classification method in comment-based sentiment analysis on Instagram has a relatively good accuracy rate with an average accuracy of more than 60%.

Abstract

The development of an intelligent information system career guidance based on interests is designed to address the difficulties faced by high school graduates in determining their major in higher education. Difficulties often arise due to confusion caused by a lack of guidance and information. To help address this issue, an intelligent interest- based major recommendation information system was developed using the breadth-first search (BFS) method, which consists of 8 interest categories based on the Rothwell-Miller Interest Blank theory (RMIB). This intelligent information system can provide direction and guidance (career guidance) to students in determining the right major according to their interests. Career guidance application services are highly needed by students who are currently in their unstable teenage years, struggling to determine their paths. This system generates output in the form of major recommendations along with related information. The system is built with PHP and MySQL and tested using the user acceptance test (UAT).

Abstract

Di tengah berbagai pilihan, memilih universitas terbaik adalah masalah yang sulit. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menggunakan metode Analytic Hierarchy Process untuk menganalisis dan membandingkan beberapa universitas berdasarkan kriteria lokasi, fasilitas, dan Uang Kuliah Tunggal (UKT). Metode AHP dipilih karena kemampuannya untuk menangani masalah pengambilan keputusan yang melibatkan banyak kriteria. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Universitas A menerima skor tertinggi, diikuti oleh Universitas B dan Universitas C. Kesimpulan ini menunjukkan bahwa menggunakan metode Analytical Hierarchy Process dapat membantu calon mahasiswa membuat keputusan yang lebih cerdas saat mereka memilih universitas.

Abstract

In the era of technological development, travel service companies like Intan Travel in Tabalong Regency, South Kalimantan, face challenges in improving service quality and operational efficiency. Intan Travel currently relies on WhatsApp for ticket booking and cash payments after the trip, which reveals weaknesses in business process effectiveness and efficiency. This study applies Business Process Reengineering (BPR) which involves a thorough analysis of existing business processes, identification of unnecessary activities, and redesigning the workflow to optimize efficiency and reduce errors. This study uses the mapping standards of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) to measure efficiency and throughput speed. The technical processes carried out include data collection, process mapping, performance measurement, identification of bottlenecks, and the application of information technology for system automation and integration. The results of this study show that after the implementation of BPR, the efficiency of the room rental process increased from 47.36% to 92.28%. The implementation of BPR in Intan Travel's booking system opens up opportunities for comprehensive and optimal business process revolution, enabling more competitive market performance.

Abstract

Globalization and the development of the internet have brought about major changes in the way information is obtained, including the use of pop-up ads as one of the increasingly popular digital marketing strategies. Pop-up ads are designed to attract users' attention with their flashy and interactive appearance. However, many users find these ads annoying as they often appear suddenly and repeatedly. In addition, pop-up ads may pose security risks in the form of malware, phishing, or malicious content that threatens users' personal data. This article analyzes the ethics of distributing pop-up ads on websites and highlights the important role of website developers in minimizing these potential risks. Through a literature review, this article asserts that website developers have a great responsibility in creating a safe, convenient, and user-oriented digital ecosystem. This includes regulating the frequency of ad appearances, creating attractive yet non-invasive designs, implementing ad due diligence, and safeguarding user privacy. By managing pop-up ads ethically, safely, and effectively, web developers can improve user experience, build trust, and prevent cybersecurity risks that harm all parties.

Abstract

Abstract Based on information from the Central Statistics Agency, the population of of Lhokseumawe City reached 191,396 people in 2022, which requires Rumah Sakit Arun Lhokseumawe to enhance its healthcare services to the community. The increase in population presents challenges for the hospital in addressing patients with health issues. Therefore, the author proposes the development of a "Real-Time Responses" system to improve services at Rumah Sakit Arun by utilizing Natural Language Processing (NLP) methods. This system aims to assist patients and the public in seeking information related to health and services available at the hospital. The approach used in developing the chatbot Long Short Term Memory (LSTM) is a component of NLP technology. NLP, in turn, is a field of artificial intelligence (AI) that allows computers to comprehend human text and speech. This technology combines linguistic computation with statistical models, machine learning, and deep learning, allowing computers to process human language in text or voice form and fully comprehend the meaning and sentiment of the writer or speaker. By applying this technology, it becomes expected that communication between the hospital and the community will become more effective, and access to health information can be obtained more quickly, supporting the enhancement of healthcare service quality in Lhokseumawe.
