Abstract

The issues of intolerance and radicalism have penetrated the dimensions of education in Indonesia. The bad behavior of students that leads to intolerance and radicalism has disturbed the life of the nation. The government is addressing these problems by launching a character education program and a mental revolution movement. These programs and movements have not had a maximum impact so they need to involve the world of education. This research needs to be done to identify students' understanding of the importance of PAK learning in the context of building a national character; find students' understanding in addressing the dangers of radicalism and intolerance; and, providing alternative solutions to form a nationalistic character in preventing intolerance and radicalism. The method used in this research is a qualitative method with a descriptive-analytical approach using various data obtained through interviews and questionnaires as primary and secondary data through books, journals, magazines, newspapers and other relevant sources. After an unstructured interview, counseling was carried out for enrichment and further distribution of questionnaires to students. The research was conducted at the Asih Lestari Jakarta Orphanage on the residents of the orphanage called students of various levels and ages. The results of the questionnaire data collection show that: first, students understand with confidence that PAK learning is very supportive of building national-minded character; second, students are able to express attitudes towards the dangers of intolerance and radicalism; third, the formation of a national-minded character as an effort to support the mental revolution movement and alternative solutions to prevent intolerance and radicalism. Thus, all Christian Education is expected to be able to develop PAK learning as a means of building nationalistic character so that students have a nationalistic attitude to prevent the dangers of intolerance and radicalism.

Abstract

The frequent claims made by followers of Jesus regarding His finality as the only Savior continue to be challenged by groups who speculate against such claims as do liberals and conservatives who build on subjective understanding. This has an impact on efforts to account for faith which have increasingly experienced distortion of the religiosity of faith in the past to the present. This article aims to present the finality of Jesus, as He spoke of both to groups who reject it as well as to His followers in an effort to enrich the teachings of modern Christology. The author uses qualitative methods with an exegetical approach with data collection techniques, namely reviewing the literature in order to understand the meaning of "actually I am the door to the sheep" according to the Gospel of John 10: 7. Thus, it can be concluded that Jesus openly conveyed to His listeners in order to acknowledge His finality as the only "Way of Entry" through "The Door" which is also "the Good Shepherd" and there is no other means besides. Himself. And christological understanding cannot be made based on the assumption of human subjectivity but based on the statement of Jesus himself as narrated "in fact I am the Door to the sheep".

The method that researchers use is a quantitative method with an explanatory-confirmatory approach. Based on the research results obtained, it turns out that the magnitude of the implementation of the teaching of the three pillars of the GSKI is at a high level, then the dominant dimension is responsibility and the dominant background category is the length of service of church officials. With these results, the recommendation is to maintain a high level by making systematic teaching modules, holding seminars on the three pillars of the GSKI, holding regular meetings between the central board and church officials, and selecting candidates for officials selectively and objectively.

Abstract

This article highlights the opinion which states that apologetic activities are activities that only hone intellectually but have no impact on one's spirituality or spirituality. As a result, the argument is that apologetic activities currently rife on social media only end in debating with coaches or attacking and humiliating one another. Often what stands out is sectarian egoism, not love for winning souls to Christ. The method used is a literature research approach, then analyzed with a comparative analytical approach in assessing apologetic activities related to intellectuality and spirituality. The study of this article reveals that Apologetics is closely related to the development of one's intellect and spirituality. The failure by some apologists to show the maturity of their spirituality in debate, does not necessarily become the final measure that apologetics does not bring people closer to God. The conclusion that is found is that there is a strong correlation for the development of intellectuality and spirituality when someone is apologetic. This is because apologetics encourages a person to study the Scriptures and learn to understand, pronounce, and do it.

Abstract

The existence of a community stigma against ex-convicts is a phenomenon that still often occurs when prisoners leave the correctional institution. Denial of their presence makes ex-inmates reluctant to socialize normally. This study intends to determine how the role of the Salemba Penitentiary in preparing prisoners to face the end of their detention in terms of social aspects. The method used in this research is qualitative. In conducting this research, researchers came to the Salemba Penitentiary to obtain the required data. Researchers conducted interviews with three sources, namely Christian Spiritual Guidance, several Christian prisoners who have participated in the assistance process at the Correctional Institution, and the YASINDO foundation, where the foundation accepts ex-convicts before being exploited in society. The results of this study, it was found that the aspect of social development has not been able to help inmates to return to life in the wider community. Prisoners who are about to finish their detention still have worry or fear. This is due to the lack of time facilities to participate in the coaching.
