Abstract

The emergence of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) or called COVID-19 which occurred in China at the end of 2019 has become a global public health problem. Indonesia government made and apply some public health prevention policy against coronavirus outbreak. They applied their first big scale social distancing (PSBB policy) that order people to stay, work, study, and pray at home. Indonesia government also warned people not to travel through outer city due to Eid Al-Fitr, Islamic big annual event, (MUDIK policy) which usually lead people to travel through the cities to meet their family to celebrate. Indonesian PSBB policy has flattened 7.30% of the curve according to the prediction of situation with and without PSBB. But for MUDIK policy, it seems people get scared of they couldn’t make it to cross the city to meet their family and travel instead then make the spreading of the cases were increased. The publishing move of the policy also should be calculated, because people will take future act regarding to the information they get.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Currently, Indonesia's pharmaceutical industry is still heavily dependent on imported raw materials, almost 95% of the needed medicine raw materials (BBO) still have to be imported from abroad. Based on data from the Directorate General of Foreign Trade, Ministry of Trade Republic of Indonesia, it was showed that the pharmaceutical salt import in 2013 reached 3,152 tons and all of them needed to fulfill domestic needs. This study used literary study method by collecting data or information in accordance with the topic. Geographically Indonesia consists of islands large and small number of approximately 17,504 islands. Three quarters of its territory is the ocean (5.9 million km2), with a 95,161 km long coastline, the second longest in the world after Canada. This makes Indonesia the world's largest archipelago in the world. This written idea was created as a solution to the problem of dependence on medicine raw materials import in the pharmaceutical industry of Indonesia. The solutions presented are Intelligente Salzfabrik: The Concept of Self-Integrated Pharmaceutical Raw Materials Industry which is Energy Independence and High Accessibility on Coastal with Sea Toll and Power Flow to Achieve An Imported Medicine Raw Materials Independence in Indonesia. This development will be implemented in close proximity to coastal areas near the the sea so that it can simplify both cost and transportation required for the distribution of salt produced.

Abstract

In recent years, Indonesia has heavily invested in infrastructure development. With the aspiration to become a Global Maritime Fulcrum, Indonesia needs to provide maritime infrastructure such as national and international ports and their facilities to support the realization of this aspiration. This certainly requires adequate project planning so that resources and investments can be optimally utilized. That is why a good front-end planning is required so that proposed maritime infrastructure projects can be well selected. One important process of front-end planning is project scope definition where a project is clearly defined and prepared for execution. This paper provides examples of failed/cancelled maritime infrastructure projects due to poor front-end planning. It also provides an idea to implement Project Definition Rating Index (PDRI) as a powerful tool to ensure the fulfillment of project scope definition. The author presents the importance of front-end planning, where the final project investment decision is being made, and explains some steps in implementing the PDRI for maritime infrastructure projects. Thus, this paper contributes in introducing the importance of front-end planning and the usage of PDRI in Indonesia especially for maritime projects so that it may enhance the overall maritime infrastructure project performance.

Abstract

A solid understanding of ethics is one of the most crucial aspect in any technological or scientific progress. Any development proceeded without proper knowledge of ethical value will drive the process to fall under the risk of failure that often damages the surroundings. In this paper, numerous essential ethical theories from various philosophers are elucidated herein to yield a general code of conduct as the basis to analyse several cases in several sectors, such as academic, engineering and medical, in attempt to locate any potential violation of values in accordance to the aforementioned study. Furthermore, several key points regarding the suggested moral virtues are summarised from the ethical code in the respective sectors to gain an understanding of the application of the theorems to the conducts. Lastly, numerous attempts of improvement in each sector; one example is the broader opportunity of conducting research supported by the government, are discussed in the last segment of this paper. The ultimate goal is then to illustrate the development of effort made in each sector in Indonesia learn from the mistakes to improve the condition with respect to the moral virtues and sustainability.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Indonesia's economic growth in the first quarter of 2020 of 2.97% was released by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). It is undeniable, that number is the lowest growth rate in the last 19 years. We understand that the economic disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic did occur in various parts of the world. A significant economic slowdown is a big task for many national leaders. Some world economic experts even mention that the disruption of the economy due to this pandemic can resemble the effects of the Great Depression of 1930 ago. If we review the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic which has caused extraordinary disruption in the economic field, it is seen that Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are a sector that is quite severe. Basically, the concept of risk management is not commonly used in SMEs business processes. This is because, in general, the resources owned by SMEs are quite limited. However, in this paper I want to illustrate at least there are simple concepts that can be applied by SMEs.

Abstract

Retinoblastoma (RB) is the most common primary intraocular malignancy of childhood. There is no therapies that can eradicate specifically the whole cancer cells without any side effects. The disialoganglioside 2 (GD2), one of the cancer’s cell markers that can be treated using immunotherapy, is expressed in RB. Through this fact, immunotherapy based on chimeric antigen receptor (CAR)-engineered T cells targeting cancer-specific antigens has shown great potential in treating this cancer. Although in recent studies show that immune cells are not able to destroy cancer cells because in every cancer cells there is protein programmed death ligand 1 (PD-L1). This literature review also shows the potential technology using Clustered Regularly Interspaced Short Palindromic Repeats (CRISPR)-CRISPR associated protein (Cas9) method to silence PD-1 in CAR T cell, so PD-L1 can not deactivate CAR T Cell through PD-1 signaling. The combination using CAR T cell and CRISPR-Cas9 will be the great therapy to eradicate RB without any side effect.

Abstract

In the operation, Floating Production Unit (FPU) will get dynamic loads on the structure periodicallysuch as the mooring line responses. The aim of the present study to discuss fatigue life on catenarymooring system refers to the comparison of using or without using the Single Line Freestanding Riser(SLFR), the operational design and installation conditions at FPU Gendalo-Gehem and located in theMakassar Strait using the six-strand wire rope with 0,115 meters outer diameter and 1.200 meters lengthwill be fatigue life analysed. The FPU motion observation shows the highest Response AmplitudeOperator (RAO) surge, sway, heave, roll, pitch, and yaw motion due to harsh environments are 0,615m/m, 1,01x10-6 m/m, 1,048 m/m, 1,14x10-5 0/m, 2,23 0/m, and 9,08x10-8 0/m. It means that theamplitude response will always be smaller than the wave amplitude coming up. Taking into RAOmotion calculation, the fatigue life on catenary mooring systems for following seas are 445 years inmooring line 1 and mooring line 8 with using SLFR while without using SLFR for 5.461 years inmooring line 1. The structure is still in safe condition because of the design safety factor about 300years.
