Abstract

Endophytic fungi are types of microorganisms that live in healthy plant tissues without causing symptoms or damage to the host (Tayung & Jha, 2010; Aly et al., 2010). One of the most common endophytic fungi capable of acting as biological control agents is Trichoderma sp. Trichoderma sp. can suppress disease-causing pathogens in plants, especially soil-borne pathogens through mycoparasitism, competition and antibiosis mechanisms and can also directly stimulate plant growth and stimulate disease resistance responses (Widyastuti & Hariani, 2006; Soesanto et al., 2011). This study aims to identify Trichoderma sp. endophytic roots of rice plants to be used as biological control agents in tomato plants infected with Tobacco Mosaic Virus. This research was conducted at the Laboratory of Agrtochnology Satu Nusa Lampung University and PT Genetics Science Indonesia from September to December 2022. Endophytic Trichoderma sp isolates on rice plant roots that have been identified molecularly include Trichoderma asperellum species with analysis results. that the percentage of similarity is very high and the max score is above 700 and the e-value is 0.0.

Abstract

Ginger is a type of medicinal plant that has several types of varieties including red ginger. Red ginger plants have the potential to be processed into processed products that have added value. This study aims to (1) to be able to find out the income from instant red ginger agro-industry in KWT Sekar Mewangi. (2) to be able to find out the added value of red ginger into instant ginger on fragrant KWT Sekar Mewangi. (3) to be able to find out the marketing channel for instant ginger in KWT Sekar Mewangi Untoro Village Trimurjo District Central Lampung Regency. The determination of the research area used the purposive method, with the population being 30 members of the mewangi bulkhead KWT and the sample being the Sekar Mewangi head of the KWT. The analytical method used in this research is value added and descriptive analysis. Data colletion method used in this research are primary data and secondary data. Data analysis used added value analysis and marketing channels. It was concluded that the red ginger business carried out by KWT Sekar Mewangi was profitable because it could produce added value products and increase farmers’ income. Therefore, this effort needs to be developed in a better direction.

Abstract

Boron is one of the most important micronutrients for plants. Boron plays a role in the formation or reproduction of cells, especially in the point of shoot growth, as well as in the growth of pollen, flowers and roots. The aim of the research was to determine the effect of the concentration of Juragan Boron fertilizer solution on the growth of Robusta coffee (Coffea robusta L.) seedlings. The study used a randomized block design (RBD) with 5 replications and the treatment was the concentration of boron fertilizer which consisted of 5 levels, namely B0 = without boron fertilizer (control), B1 = 1 g.l-1 water, B2 = 2 g.l-1 water, B3 = 3 g.l-1 water, B4 = 4 g.l-1 water. The data was tested using Orthogonal Polynomial Test. The conclusion of the study is that the optimal concentration of Juragan Boron fertilizer solution is between 1.34--2.08 g.l-1 of water with a contribution of between 44.18--86.87% in influencing the growth of Robusta coffee seedlings.

Abstract

Farmer household income is influenced by several assets they have. one of them is land. The amount of income that will be obtained from a farming activity depends on several factors that influence it such as land area, production level, worker identity, planting and the efficiency of using labor. This study aims to determine household income in Noto Harjo Village, Trimurjo District, Central Lampung Regency. This research was conducted in Noto Harjo Village, Trimurjo District, Central Lampung. The samples used were 49 respondents with simple random sampling. The analytical method used is farm income analysis, household income analysis. The results showed that: 1) the average income of lowland rice farming was Rp. 7,589,185 per hectare for each planting and the R/C ratio value was 1.8, this value was more than 1, which meant that rice farming in Noto Harjo Village was profitable and feasible to work on. 2) the contribution of on farm rice farming makes the smallest contribution, with on farm income of Rp. 7,589,185 with a contribution of 12.16%, off farm of Rp. 14,695,203 with a contribution to farmers' income of 23.56%. Meanwhile, non farm income contributed the most, namely Rp.40,080,000 with a contribution of 64.26%.

Abstract

Organic fertilization of cow manure bokashi and inorganic fertilizer SP-36 is an alternative to improve soil fertility in red-yellow podzolic soil. However, due to its slow availability, the application of this fertilizer from previous plantings still leaves residue to improve the quality of mung beans in subsequent plantings. The aims of the study were to determine: 1) The effect of various residual doses of bokashi fertilizer on the growth and yield of mung bean. 2) The effect of various residual doses of SP-36 fertilizer on the growth and yield of mung bean. 3) Interaction of various doses of bokashi and SP-36 fertilizer residues on the growth and yield of mung bean. The research was carried out in the experimental garden of the Dharma Wacana College of Agricultural Sciences, Margorejo Subdistrict, Metro City, from February to April 2021. The study used a Complete Randomized Block Design which was arranged in a factorial manner with three replications. The first factor was residues of cow manure Bokashi fertilizer (B) which consisted of three levels, namely dose of 5 tons/ha (b1), 10 tons/ha (b2), and 15 tons/ha (b3). The second factor was SP-36 (P) fertilizer residue which also consisted of three levels, namely dose of 150 kg/ha (p1), 200 kg/ha (p2), and 250 kg/ha (p3). The results showed that residues of various doses of bokashi and SP-36 had no significant effect. No interaction was found between residues of bokashi fertilizer and SP-36 on the growth and yield of mung bean. However, mung beans show a fairly good production.
