Abstract

This research was carried out in September-October 2020. in Kading Village, Barebbo District, Bone Regency. The selection of this location was done purposively. The farmers who will be sampled in this study are farmers whose irrigation systems use rain-fed and drilled wells in Kading Village, Barebbo District. The number of respondent farmers in each of these studies was determined purposively, each of which numbered 25 people per group so that the total number of respondents became 50 people. The data analysis used is quantitative analysis, namely analyzing the income and profits obtained by farmers from rainfed lowland rice farming and the use of drilled wells. Quantitative analysis is used in assessing the level of income and profits. The results of this study indicate that the average income received by rainfed lowland rice farmers is Rp. 19,234,905.5 while lowland rice farmers use drilled wells of Rp. 25,960,241.3 and the income received by rainfed rice farmers is Rp. 15,494,701.5, while lowland rice farmers use drilled wells of Rp. 21,271,846.6. The income and receipts of borehole rice farmers are greater than those of rainfed lowland rice farmers

Abstract

This study aims to determine the appropriate development strategy in an effort to increase pineapple farming in the Sinjay Farmer Group in Astomulyo Village Punggur District Central Lampung Regency. This research was conducted at the Sinjay Farmer's Group in Astomulyo Village Punggur District Central Lampung Regency. The number of samples in this study were 55 pineapple farmers and all of them were used as samples. The sampling method uses the saturated side (census) for all farmers in the population. The analytical method used in this research is SWOT analysis to find out the existing internal and external factors. The results of this study indicate that based on the results of the analysis on the SWOT matrix, the recommendation that must be given is the "Progressive" strategy. Strategies that can be applied are increasing pineapple cultivation skills by utilizing the cooperation of farmer group members to produce higher quality products, optimizing pineapple cultivation management by adopting modern agricultural technology so as to increase the productivity of pineapples produced, and optimizing land resources owned in producing quality products. through increasing soil fertility with the use of organic fertilizers.

Abstract

Liquid organic fertilizer is fertilizer that is applied to the leaves. The advantage of fertilizer application through leaves is that nutrients are more easily absorbed by plants, both macro and micro nutrients. This study aims to determine the time intervals of fertilization and differences in the concentration of liquid organic fertilizer on the growth and yield of red spinach, as well as to determine the interaction between the two. The treatment used was the time of fertilization and the difference in the concentration of liquid organic fertilizer. The results showed that the timing of fertilization had a significant effect on the weight of red spinach plants. The time interval of fertilization every 3 days gave better results, namely 18.94 g. And there is no interaction between time interval and concentration of liquid organic fertilizer on the growth and yield of red spinach for all variables.

Abstract

The research objective was to determine the transaction costs and cost of production of catfish hatcheries in the South Metro District, Metro City. The research was conducted in Margorejo Village, Metro Selatan District, Metro City with a total sample of 30 people using the sampling method, namely saturated sampling (census). The results showed that the transaction costs in the catfish hatchery business were information costs of Rp. 14,960.00; coordination fee of IDR 37,635.00; monitoring fee of Rp. 65,700.00 and transportation costs of Rp. 11250.00. The biggest contribution of transaction costs is monitoring fees of 50.72%. While the cost of production and the selling price of the catfish hatchery business in Margorejo Village, Metro Selatan District, Metro City is Rp. 65.61/head and Rp.72.18/head in one cycle.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the feasibility of catfish hatchery business in in Margorejo South Metro District. The research was conducted in Margorejo South Metro District with a total sample of 30 people. The sampling method is saturated sampling (census) and the analysis used is financial feasibility analysis. The results of the analysis of the catfish hatchery business are profitable and feasible to continue financially (NVP, IRR, Net B/C, Gross B/C and PP). Abstract

A healthy lifestyle is a growing trend in society, the embodiment of a healthy lifestyle is through eating and drinking with organic products so that it becomes an opportunity for organic farmers. The research objectives: (1) to determine the income of organic rice farming, and (2) to determine the factors that affect the income of organic rice farming. The research was conducted in Pajaresuk Village, Pringsewu District, Pringsewu Regency in January 2022 with 30 organic rice farmers as respondents. The analytical method used is income analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the study: (1) organic rice farming income in Pajaresuk Village, Pringsewu District, Pringsewu Regency of Rp. 3,810,040 per 0.33 ha with an R/C Ratio of 2.01, and (2) land area (X1), business experience (X2), education level (X3), age (X4), and commodity prices (X7) significantly affect organic rice income.

Abstract

Kailan (Brassica oleracea) is vegetable can grow on all types of soil, enjoyed by the community so it has good prospects to be developed in Indonesia. Good Cultivation technique the production of kailan. Therefore, the use of liquid organic fertilizer combination with the composition of planting media needs to be applied as both can increase the product of kailan that is organic so that the needs of healthy vegetables can be completed. The purpose of this study are determine the best concentration of liquid organic fertilizer for growth and yield of kailan vegetables, the best planting media for growth and yield of kailan vegetables, and the interaction between of liquid organic fertilizer application and media type of planting toward the growth of kailan vegetables. The results of this research that the concentration of liquid organic fertilizer has no significant effect on growth and yield of kailan, the composition of different planting media has no significant effect on growth and yield of kailan except on the large ratio of leaf (RLD) and wet weight on kailan plant. and there is no interaction between liquid organic fertilizer and plant media composition on growth and yield of kailan plants.

Abstract

Increasing economic growth and population has led to increase land needed, including paddy fields which have been converted into settlements, industry, roads and non-rice farming. This study was conducted in 6 regency at Lampung Province, from June to November 2019. The study aims to determine factors cause land conversion paddy fields in Lampung Province. This research was conducted using survey method with total 240 respondents. The primary data collected were characteristics of farmers, ownership of paddy fields assets, land tenure, lowland rice farming costs, farmer's income, and factors that caused land conversion. Secondary data collected in the form of 2014-2018 time series data were ​​rice fields area, planted area, production, and productivity, and data of ​​LP2B per regency/city, conversion of paddy fields area, and new rice fields. The results show that the planted area of ​​lowland rice in Lampung Province experienced an average growth of 11.7%. In general, its was increased in the standard of ​​rice fields area by 2.6%, while its was decrease in the standard of ​​rice fields area in Bandar Lampung City by 1.2%, South Lampung Regency 0.3% and Pringsewu 1.1%. Total new paddy fields area in Lampung Province in last 5 years were 21,550 ha such as in Mesuji District (10,185 ha), Tulang Bawang (6,671 ha), and Way Kanan (2,250 ha). The conversion of functions of paddy fields in the 6 regencies/cities in the study locations average of 18.1%, most of which were converted to toll roads, settlements, factories, rubber, cassava and citrus farming. The factors that have a significant effect on converting paddy fields to non-rice fields were age of farmer, education level, number of family members, educational costs, and total value of household assets, while the total household income, number of working children and farm productivity were not significant effect.

Abstract

One way to increase latex production is by preparing and planting quality rubber seeds. Quality seeds can be seen from good physical appearance, short production life, and able to produce optimal latex. Quality seeds can be produced from good vegetative propagation. One of the vegetative propagation that is done to multiply rubber plants is by grafting or sticking buds. The research was carried out in two stages. The first stage was conducted to determine the effect of various types of mycorrhizae on the growth of the rootstock of rubber plants. While the second stage of research was conducted to determine the effect of several types of mycorrhizae on the success of grafting rubber plants. The results of the first stage of the study showed that the growth of rubber rootstock seedlings increased by the application of several types of AMF, such as the variables of plant height, stem diameter, root length, shoot wet weight, root wet weight, root volume, crown dry weight, and percentage of root infection. The administration of several different types of AMF had a significantly different effect on the percent of root infection by mycorrhizae with the highest percent of infection by AMF type Enthrospora sp.3 of 29.35% Glomus sp.2 of 26.33%, Entrophospora sp. 2 is 25.45%, and Glomus sp.3 is 17.35%.

Abstract

In general, banana stem waste is rarely processed into liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) for plants. This study aims to determine the effect of banana stem LOF concentration on the growth of sugarcane cuttings using the Bud Chip method. Five treatments of banana stem LOF concentration were tested in this study, namely 0 ml/l solution (0%), 150 ml/l solution (15%), 300 ml/l solution (30%), 450 ml/l solution (45%), and 600 ml/l solution (60%). The experiment used a randomized block design with 5 replications. The data were analyzed by means of variance and continued with the comparison test of orthogonal and orthogonal polynomials at 5% significance level. The results showed that sugarcane cuttings given banana stem LOF produced better cuttings growth compared to sugarcane cuttings that were not given banana stem LOF, seen in the observation variables of shoot height, number of leaves, root length, shoot wet weight, shoot dry weight, root wet weight, and root dry weight. In the same observation variable, the concentration of banana stem LOF had a quadratic effect in which it initially increased the growth of sugarcane cuttings, until it reached the optimal concentration between 411.78 - 432.55 ml/l, then the growth of sugarcane cuttings decreased as the concentration of banana stem LOF increased.
