Abstract

Soybean is one of the leguminous plants and is the main source of protein and vegetable oil in the world. Soybean is the most important strategic main food crop after rice and corn. Caused of their high protein and fat content, soybean seeds have fast decreased quality during storage, both for consumption material and as a source of seeds. This study aims to determine changes in physical and chemical quality of several soybean varieties during storage. This research was conducted from February to August 2016 in the Agricultural Science Park (TSP) Natar. The study was conducted in a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with three replications. This study uses 4 soybean varieties, namely: Grobogan, Burangrang, Anjasmoro, and Argomulyo; packaged using polyethylene plastic bags (PE) 0.8 mm. Observation parameters included physical quality (split grains, broken grains, other colored grains, wrinkled grains, and impurities), hardness and chemical quality (moisture content, ash content, protein content, fat content, crude fiber content, and carbohydrate content). The observations showed that: Anjasmoro variety has the best physical quality (Quality I) compared to other varieties, both before storage (0 months), and after storage (6 months); There was increased water content, protein content, ash content, and crude fiber content, but a decrease in carbohydrate content in soybean seeds after storage for 6 months, while the ash content did not change significantly;There was increased the level of hardness of soybean seeds during storage for 4 soybean varieties that were used around 3,68% - 8,33%.

Abstract

This research aimed to find out the effect of the number of plants per hole on the growth and yield of hydroponic pakcoy plants. The study was carried out in the STIPER Dharma Wacana Metro greenhouse from May to June 2018. The treatments tested were one plant, two plants, three plants, and four plants per hole. The hydroponic system used is the Nutrient Film Technique (NFT) system. The variables observed were plant height, number of leaves, widest leaves, stem diameter, total plant weight, and root weight. The results showed that the treatment of one plant per hole produced better growth than other treatments with plant height of 23.65 cm, number of leaves 12.1 strands, crop diameter 5.59 cm, and longest root 38.25 cm.

Abstract

The study aims to identify Cooperatives in Metro, Studying patterns of development of agri-based cooperatives in Metro City, knowing cooperating opportunities with national companies, local companies and banking and other business entities that are in Metro City and the surrounding area, and knowing increase growth rate economy achieved with the participation of cooperatives based agribusiness. The result showed that different types of cooperatives to grow and thrive in Metro City, the pattern of development of agribusiness cooperatives in Metro City Through the efforts of the development of agri-commodities terpaudu that will generate profits in the year to 5. The role of the agricultural sector to GDP in Metro City by 11%. This figure reflects that the agricultural sector is still one important sector in driving the economy in Metro City. While the financial and service sector amounted to 22,29%. If the two sector combined, namely agricultural and financial-services then reached 33,29% more. It means that the agricultural sector which is a producer of primary goods and supported by finance and service sector will be able to play an important role in the economy in the City of Metro.Keywords: Cooperatives, development of agri-based, Metro City

Abstract

The research was carried out on Ultisol soil in Sukadana Village, Sukadana District, East Lampung Regency. The research objective was to determine Soybean Productivities Improvement in Suboptimal Land Due application of Mulch and Soil Conditioner. The plant indicator used was the soybean variety of Anjasmoro with a spacing of 40 cm x 15 cm.  The research used a split plot design with three replications. Mulching treatments (without mulch and mulch of maize crops residue 10 t ha-1) as main plot  and and soil conditioner (control, Biochar I/SP 50 2,5 t ha-1, Beta 2,5 t ha-1, Biochar II/husk charcoal 2,5 t ha-1 , and manure  5 t ha-1) as subplot.  The variables observed in this research were plant grouwth and yield.  The results showed that the application of mulch residue from corn plants did not affect the development of soybean roots, however, soil conditioner increased the weight and root length of soybean plants. Biochar I and Beta improveers have the best effect on root weight and length. Mulch residue of maize plants and soil conditioner did not significantly affect soybean crop yield. The soil conditioner  increased the yield of soybean dry seeds and the soil repairer Biochar II (husk charcoal) 2.5 t ha-1 and manure 5 t ha-1 gave the best soybean dry seed yields

Abstract

Soil respiration is the process of releasing CO2 from the soil into the atmosphere, mainly produced by soil microorganisms and plant roots. Soil respiration is influenced by biological factors (vegetation, microorganisms), environmental factors (temperature, humidity, pH) and also human factors (tillage and herbicides). This research aims to determine: (1) the effect of soil treatment systems on soil respiration in cassava cultivation; (2) the effect of herbicide application on soil respiration in cassava cultivation; (3) the effect of interaction between tillage systems and application of herbicides on soil respiration in cassava cultivation. The treatment was designed as a factorial in Randomized Block Design with 2 factors and 4 replications. The first factor is the soil tillage system (Minimum Tillage, Intensive Tillage) and the second factor is the application of herbicides (non-herbicides, herbicide applications). The results showed that the tillage system and herbicide application had no significant effect on soil respiration and there was no interaction between the tillage system and herbicide application on cassava (Manihot esculenta Crantz.). Soil respiration at 3 months after planting is higher than 6 and 11 months after planting. Soil water content are higher in non-herbicide application at 11 months after planting. Soil temperature is significantly correlated with soil respiration at 3 months after planting. Soil water content, soil temperature and soil C-organic did not affect soil respiration.

Abstract

The study was conducted in Central and East Lampung District with consideration for soil fertility in rice fields are planted with rice tends to go down, so that the harvest of dry grain production leveling off. The method used is a survey method, including primary data collection through interviews using questionnaires. Identification of using soil conditioner collected to reveal information about the type of soil conditioner that is known farmers and types soil conditioner once used by farmers. The aim of this study were: (1) an inventory of the type soil conditioner known and used by farmers, as well as the resources and applications dose; (2) determine the benefits and constraints use soil conditioner at the farm level, (3) to know fertilizer efficiency at the farmer level as the impact of soil conditioner utilizing, (4) to study soils conditioner prospect to increase land productivity. The results showed that the organic matter, soil conditioner types known and used in Central Lampung District is Zeolite Agro 2000, ZP.30 (enrichment zeolit with P nutrient) and dolomite, whereas in the East Lampung District is a regular zeolite and dolomite. The use of soil conditioner in both districts useful addition to increasing the production of rice crop about 10-30%, also improve soil fertility and increase the efficiency of nutrient uptake of inorganic fertilizers.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the satisfaction of plasma farmers with PT GGL services in the village of Astomulyo, Punggur District, Central Lampung Regency. The research method used is descriptive analysis method, plasma farmers satisfaction analysis using the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) Analysis. The research location is in Astomulyo village, Punggur Subdistrict, Central Lampung. When the study was conducted in October-November 2019. Determination of the sample using a survey method in which a sample of 50 people. The results of the study concluded that the level of satisfaction of plasma farmers with PT GGL services in Astomulyo Village, Punggur District, Central Lampung Regency was very satisfied.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the level of participation of cooperative members in RAT, pay deposits, and utilize existing business services in cooperatives, analyzing the influence of member participation on the economic benefits of cooperatives received by cooperative members. This research was conducted by descriptive method. The study sample was 55 people who as a whole were members of the all-round cooperative business of MDIT farmers. The data collected consists of primary data and secondary data. The analytical method used is the level of participation analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that the level of participation of members in RAT and paying deposits must be included in the high category while participation in the utilization of business units is included in the low category. Based on the results of multiple linear regression analysis, it is known that the participation of cooperative members has no significant effect on the magnitude of the economic benefits of cooperatives received by members in the past year.

Abstract

Social forestry area that has the potential of ecotourism drives economic analysis of agroforestry among others were directed to assess whether the resources used in agroforestry activities are already quite efficient. While the community can not rely proceeds from the farm, the tourism sector comes to be a reliable source of income to meet the community needs. This study aimed to evaluate the direct benefits gained by the community, both from farming and other business results from social forestry region. Measurement of this immediate benefit was taken by approaching to the market value to quantify price of various directly marketable commodities. The sample size set with sampling friction by 20% in each study site, while the method of sampling was done using a quota sampling method. Assessment of each alternative in determinating allocation of efficient ecosystem utilization was done by using the Cost-Benefit Analysis (CBA) and Benefit Cost Ratio (BCR). The study results showed a variety of direct benefits that gained by farmers located around bufferzone forest areas, namely; farming, ecotourism, trade, labor, livestock and fish. Farming sector is still the mainstay of income source, each farming concession on forest land have indicated the venture feasibility in financial aspect. These indicate that farm management on forestry land is able to deliver benefits to the whole society.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the feasibility of enlarging catfishin Sub Margorejo District of South Metro City Metro. This research method of based on collecting data which refer to previous studies and related information from the fish farmer. The methodology used in this study are: primary data and secondary data, using techniques: questionnaires/questionnaire, interview/live interviews with farmers, observation/observation in the study area.  Population is the whole unit or individual in one area  research, in this case all the farmers who carry out fish farming catfish enlarge mentin Sub Margorejo totaled 20 farmers. A whole population of existing member as many as 20 respondents taken as samples by a method entirely hypothetical sensus. Testing conducted using the method of (1) analysis of R/C ratio (2) break event point or break even and (3) SWOT analysis.  The results showed that based analysis of the financial aspect, technical aspect, market aspect, management aspect, legal aspect, institutional aspect, the social aspects of economis and environmental aspects which carried out shows that the bussiness of enlarging catfishin Sub Margorejo District of South Metro feasible to be developed and indevelopedKeywords: feasibility, catfish, SWOT
