Abstract

In this study, The researcher discussed about the commodification of da'wah messages on pertamina ads, the best savings version. This study included a type of qualitative research using S Jager and F Maier's critical discourse analysis methods by making a synopsis, determining the main characters, discursive practices, non-discursive practices, object materialization, and theorizing of advertising themes. Based on the results of the analysis, it was found that there were signs that identified the practice of commodification of da'wah messages on the best savings version of pertamina ads in the form of images, conversations, and texts in the description of the ad stories. The message of commodified da'wah becomes a narrative that charity will be a shelter for humans when in the hereafter. The missionary message was conveyed in order to increase knowledge, change attitudes and mindset of the community and convey corporate messages so that people are economical in using fuel and not too consumptive in buying motorcycles. The researcher concluded that da'wah messages which are noble religious messages in order to change human beings for the better and get happiness in the world and the hereafter can be packaged and utilized as a matter for transforming values into exchange values that are image-building for corporate interests.

Abstract

Propagation as a pillar of Islam in conveying God's revelation must be interpreted broadly, not just propaganda materials related subject matter (tawhid) but also about the preservation of nature and the welfare of the people (society). Forests should be managed jointly between the public and the government that maintained continuity, while people living in the vicinity to prosperous. This research is field research field with qualitative research type, research method used is action research or action study with participatory approach, this approach emphasizes the importance of dialogue process in research. Abstract

H.O.S Tjokroaminoto tokohdakwah yang tidak dapat dilepaskan dariperkembangan organisasi Syarikat Islam (SI) yang kemudian berubah menjadi Partai Sarikat Islam (PSI) dan Partai Syarikat Islam Indonesia (PSII) dan hubungannya dengan dakwah dan kesejahteraan sosial. Tjokroaminoto merupakan Ketua Syarikat Islam dan menjadi pemimpin PSI dan PSII hingga akhir hayatnya. Tjokroaminoto merupakan tokoh yang paling berpengaruh dalam sejarah Syarikat Islam. Maka dari itu, Tulisan ini akan membahas mengenai biografi dan karya, keterlibatan dalam Sarekat Islam dan juga tafsir asas yang dipegang teguh oleh Tjokroaminoto untuk mendalami setiap pergerakan dakwah dan kesejahteraan sosial. Raden Mas Haji Oemar Said Tjokroaminoto atau dikenal dengan H.O.S Tjokroaminoto merupakan salah satu tokoh pergerakan nasional yang memberikan pengaruh untukmemperjuangkan kesejahteraansosial dan juga berpengaruh besar dalam dinamika politik Indonesia, termasuk di dalamnya membentuk pemikiranpolitik maupun mempengaruhi tindakan politik banyak tokoh pergerakan nasional.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine how artist's self-image is displayed in media, and how an artist prepares him/herself. This study also aims to know how the artists understand their popularity as the result of news delivered by journalists in mass media. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with dramaturgicaltheoryapproach. Dramaturgy is actually under a larger perspective which is often called by phenomenological perspective or interpretive perspective. The results of this study indicate that self-image for the artist determines the impression to be formed in the mass media. The better self-image displayed, the bigger chance to get a good impression will be achieved. Before dealing with a reporter for an interview, the artist did some preparations, such as be neat and dressing up, cool their self down in order to be in a good or stable emotions, and have a discussion with the management to show a positive self-image in front of journalists. Artists fullyunderstandthe meaning of popularity for themselves.The positive popularity will also give a positive effect. Abstract

Pemberitaan media massa sepanjang Pemilihan Umum (Pemilu) tahun 2014 meninggalkan potret yang mencoreng prinsip dan kode etik jurnalisme di Indonesia. Perusahaan pers dianggap tidak netral dan tidak berimbang dalam memberitakan calon presiden dan wakil presiden yang bertarung dalam proses pemilu. Tidak tertutup kemungkinan hal serupa kembali terjadi di pemilu tahun 2019. Di Sumatra Barat, Harian Padang Ekspresmerupakan  media cetak harian yang memiliki oplah terbesar dan menjangkau banyak khalayak pembaca. Realitas peristiwa seputar kampanye pemilu, dikontruksi secara berbeda oleh ketiga media cetak ini melalui proses framing.Tipe penelitian ini adalah kualitatif menggunakan paradigma konstruktivis dengan model analisis framing William A Gamson yang menekankan adanya ide sentral dalam setiap pembingkaian berita oleh media massa. Ide sentral tersebut didukung oleh perangkat framing berupa metafora, catchphrases, exemplar, depiction dan visual images. Selain itu ide sentral juga dikuatkan dengan adanya perangkat penalaran berupa roots, appeals to principle dan consequences. Dengan model ini, kemasan peristiwa yang ditampilkan melalui proses framing oleh media massa dapat dianalisa dalam rentang tertentu. Namun tidak sampai menyimpulkan persetujuan dan tidak setuju ataupun keberpihakan dan tidak berpihaknya media massa tersebut kepada salah satu calon kandidat peserta pemilu.Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan unit berita yang diteliti dari Harian Padang Ekspres sebagai objek penelitian memiliki ide sentral yang beragam.

Abstract

Cita-cita perempuan mengenyam pendidikan adalah agar perempuan dan laki-laki sama-sama ditempatkan sebagai manusia utuh di berbagai aspek kehidupan. Pesantren menyadari hal ini, terbukti dengan banyak pesantren khusus perempuan yang digelar. Namun sebagian masyarakat modern masih menganggap branding pesantren adalah ndeso? dan cenderung menghasilkan perempuan yang normatif, belum banyak mencetak perempuan milenial yang relevan dengan zaman. Lalu bagaimanakah upaya branding pondok pesantren modern gontor puri 1 tentang perempuan era milenial di instagram? Teori yang dipakai dalam tulisan ini adalah teori advertising and branding dari David Aaker. Penelitian ini menemukan belum adanya keseriusan upaya branding gontor putri 1 tentang perempuan milenial di instagram. Akibat ketidakseriusan ini, brand pondok pesantren sebagai lembaga kuno dan tidak sesuai dengan karakteristik perempuan milenial akan bertahan. Usaha rebranding pondok pesantren melalui media sosial (instagram, facebook, twitter, youtube) harus menjadi salah satu fokus utama pemangku pondok pesantren untuk dikampanyekan secara kreatif.

Abstract

This study is a study focused on finding meaning towards the behavior of internet usage as reference of STAIN Curup students. In line with the concept of an active audience, this research would focus on the internet as a mass media. With the advancement of information technology and mass media, providing various facilities in accessing information especially through the internet. STAIN Curup students are required to keep updating their knowledge and information especially with regard to their studies. This need is what makes the student must continue to add the supporting reference study. In addition to books, print journals and modules, the internet becomes one of the reference sources used by students. Therefore, it needs to be studied further about how the use of internet as a reference STAIN Curup students? how is the impact of internet use as a reference of STAIN Curup students? To answer the problems, this research uses the uses and gratifications theory and the moderate effect model, which is expected to give meaning and peel the phenomenon of internet usage on the students. In line with the uses and gratifications theory, satisfaction will arise if needs are met. In this case, the satisfaction of internet usage as reference of student is seen from the functioning of mass media, among others: information function, entertainment function, persuasion function, cultural transmission function and social inheritance, correlation function (linking). While the impact of internet use as a reference of students, among others, cognitive impact, affective impact, and behavioral impact. The impact of internet usage is also supported by individual factors; such as selective attention, selective perception, and selective retention, motivation and knowledge, beliefs, opinions, values, and needs, persuasion, personality and adjustment. And social factors, among others; age, sex, education and training, occupation and income, religion, residence.

Abstract

This paper attempts to read the phenomenon of prayer as a sign by placing prayer as a result of social construction. This is triggered by the emergence of the assumption that some people who try to simplify prayers by replacing them with other activities such as recall (in any condition) and do good. Furthermore the author asks the question as follows: What is the meaning of prayer in the religious tradition? How to understand prayer in the reading of dialectics-normative and social sign? To answer the question, the writer uses normative dialectic reading pattern and semiotic approach (signology). The results of the study of the authors do is: first, physically lahiriyah, prayer directs the perpetrators into a knot (an important point) on the universal website that unites between Muslims wherever they are and from whatever madhhab he embraces. Second, spiritually spiritual, prayer builds personal reinforcement that is in the primordial realiatation with the continuous reality of sharia. This continuity not only connects to the spiritual experience of fellow Muslims around the world, but also connects the experience of a Muslim with the spirituality of Abraham and Muhammad. Abstract

Sebuah berita yang baik tidak lahir begitu saja dari tinta yang dibangun dari meja redaksi belaka. Berita yang baik dibangun melalui keringat panas terik matahari dan kebekuan dinginnya malam. Berita yang baik menampilkan hal-hal yang tak terlihat oleh khalayak umum, menyusuri lembah-lembah kebejatan moral manusia, dan melintasi setiap dimensi kehidupan sosial, budaya, politik dan apa saja yang menjadi wilayah kehidupan bagi setiap manusia. Majalah SULUH merupakan dimensi yang tak terlihat itu. Ditengah gemerlapnya media masa komersial, Majalah SULUH tetap bertahan dengan wacana-wacana klasik yang diolah sekan menjadi modern. Ditengah himpitan keterbatasan modal, Majalah SULUH tetap terbit dengan oplah yang relatif cukup baik. Proses peliputan berita dari Malalah SULUH itu sendiri dan proses penggalian beritanya, dan lebih khusus lagi yang melalui wawancara. Adapun hasil dari penelitian ini antara lain yaitu majalah SULUH sebagai majalah antar-iman (interfaith) yang terbit dwi-bulanan didesain melalui grand tema (tema besar) yang dirapatkan pada setiap awal tahun. Majalah SULUH menyampaikan pesan-pesan atau isu-isu pentingnya dalam satu rubrik yang disebut rubrik “TOPIK”. Pada rubrik “TOPIK” Majalah SULUH, kemdian kami menganalisa proses tranformasi dari sebuah realita atau peristiwa menjadi sebuah berita atau tulisan. Dimana dalamproses ini jualah penulis menemukan starategi peliputan yang unik yang tidak penulis temukan pada media masa umumnya, yakni sebuah laporan atau berita yang content/isi berita banyak diambilkan dari studi kepustakaan, dari pada mengambilnya dari sebuah realita yang terjadi di masyarakat.

Abstract

Boarding School is an institution that transforms education and exemplary values every second and minute and every hour of the clerics to his students. Educational boarding school students aim to forge themselves into an independent person and to develop a spirit of togetherness, which includes the attitude of mutual assistance, solidarity and brotherhood among the students. In terms of individual character development, schools teach thrift and simple life away from the consumptive nature. Thus, Boarding School as an educational institution owned by the community is really potential for the Establishing of Human Resources (HR), potential for the creation of intelligence and well-being of the nation. Not a bit of Da’wah that could be done through schools, good Da’wah that convey the teachings of Islam, as well as preaching about the life and development of the Ummah.
