Abstract

This study analyzes the agricultural system in Jorong Koto Tinggi, Baso District, Agam Regency, in relation to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 2 “Zero Hunger” from the perspective of Islamic economics. Despite abundant natural resources, most farmers still rely on traditional methods with low productivity, constrained by limited capital, low adoption of technology, limited understanding of sustainable agriculture, as well as the impacts of climate change and commodity price fluctuations. This research employed a descriptive qualitative method through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, with data analyzed inductively using reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that agricultural transformation is occurring gradually; some farmers have begun to adopt modern technologies such as hand tractors, rice transplanters, and mini combine harvesters that improve efficiency and productivity, while the majority still depend on manual tools. The main obstacles include limited capital, lack of technical training, inadequate irrigation infrastructure, and resistance to change. From the perspective of Islamic economics, agricultural management should be based on the principles of sustainability (istidamah), public interest (maslahah), and distributive justice to achieve societal welfare (falah).

Abstract

This study aims to analyze strategies for increasing the amount of DPK through the Simpel Savings program at BPRS Bhakti Sumekar, Pragaan Branch Office. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method, with data collected through observation, interviews, and document analysis. Data were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, consisting of data presentation, data reduction, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the strategy for increasing DPK through Simpel Savings is implemented through four main approaches: (1) financial literacy outreach in schools, (2) easy access to savings services within the school environment, (3) active collaboration with schools and parents, and (4) simplification of account opening procedures. These strategies have proven effective in increasing the number of student customers and total collected funds, as well as in strengthening the culture of saving and Islamic financial literacy from an early age. This study contributes to enriching the literature on DPK mobilization strategies in Islamic banking through literacy- and inclusion-based approaches targeting students.

Abstract

This study highlights the influence of sustainability reporting on the financial performance of manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). A quantitative research method was employed, utilizing secondary data obtained from annual and sustainability reports. The sample was selected using purposive sampling, comprising 45 observations from nine companies over five years. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression with the assistance of IBM SPSS version 24. The test results show that the calculated t-value (0.643) is lower than the t-table value (2.017), and the significance value (0.524) exceeds the 0.05 threshold. Therefore, it can be concluded that sustainability reporting does not have a significant effect on a company’s financial performance. This finding is presumed to occur due to the absence of strict regulations mandating high-quality sustainability reporting and the lack of tangible incentives for companies that prepare comprehensive sustainability reports.

Abstract

This paper discusses entrepreneurship among the younger generation in Malaysia. The main strategy of the agenda for national development is from the economic sector, one of which is entrepreneurship. Therefore, in several related matters, the role of the government itself is how to improve the entrepreneurial sector or known as MSMEs so that they can be encouraged to be developed for the community. With the hope that new entrepreneurs will emerge, sectors of the community's economy will be able to grow and become more established, therefore other sectors such as education and health can be properly guaranteed. The research method used in this article is qualitative using a creative economy approach. The method of extracting through the data that has been used is through structured interviews and literature study. The research results show that some of the youth in Malaysia have an interest and interest in the world of business and entrepreneurship. Thus, there is already an awareness of developing an entrepreneurial spirit. Thus, all parties are expected to become agents of change for the improvement in the economic sector and MSMEs. Through various kinds of programs carried out by the government and also the campus, thus trying to become agents to grow new entrepreneurs with special hopes, namely young people in Malaysia.

Abstract

The Covid 19 pandemic has produced quite a complex crisis, because Covid 19 has not only produced a health crisis but also a socio-economic crisis. This research aims to determine the impact of Islamic philanthropy distribution in overcoming the socio-economic crisis caused by the Covid 19 pandemic. This research will review in depth the Islamic philanthropy distribution programs carried out by zakat institutions in Medan City. This research also contains an evaluative element, to provide an evaluation to zakat institutions regarding the effectiveness and efficiency as well as the benefits received by mustahik from the implementation of Islamic philanthropy distribution programs in post-Covid 19. This research uses a qualitative research method. The author will explain in depth the findings that the author has obtained in the field, and then provide an interpretation, and arrange it systematically so that it is easy to understand. This research resulted in the conclusion that LAZISMU, IZI, and Dompet Duafa are considered effective in distributing the philanthropic funds that have been assessed, although there is some homework that must be completed by zakat institutions in distributing these philanthropic funds. This can be seen from two methods, namely, the ratio of the value of collection and distribution and the value of the benefits given to the distribution of Islamic philanthropy funds that have been carried out.

Abstract

In Secanggang sub-district, precisely in Suka Mulia Village, Tanjung Mulia Hamlet, there is a unique tradition carried out by the people which they consider as a form of mutual help. This tradition, known as "ngesuki", occurs by giving basic food ingredients to neighbors or friends who are going to hold a party, with the stipulation that the recipient must return what he received to the giver one day when the giver needs food too. This research was carried out to find out this traditional tathbiq when analyzed from Lafadz's rules in muamalah, and also to find out what the legal implications are, the research approach was carried out with a qualitative approach, the data taken was primary data sourced directly from the community who did it, and also secondary data which is taken from several turats literature. The results of this research show an analysis of the rules of lafaz muamalah that the tradition of mutual help carried out by the Secanggang community is actually a tijarah and not a tabarru' contract, so the legal implications are buying and selling death and buying and selling by bartering, and in practice you have to pay attention to all the rules in buying and selling. then the recipient of the food must return the goods in the same quantity and type as the goods he received.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine: The influence of communication on the performance of BWM Mawaridussalam managers, the influence of compensation on the performance of BWM Mawaridussalam managers, the influence of communication and compensation together on the performance of BWM Mawaridussalam managers. The research uses quantitative methods. The research stages are the preparation of research instruments where the research instrument that will be used is a questionnaire. The questionnaire will be filled out by the BWM Mawaridussalam manager. Then data collection will be collected by distributing questionnaires to BWM Mawaridussalam managers. And data analysis, where the data that has been collected will be analyzed using multiple regression analysis. The targeted research outcomes of this research are as follows: The results of this research are expected to provide a better understanding of the influence of communication and compensation on the performance of BWM Mawaridussalam managers. The results of this research are expected to be a consideration for BWM Mawaridussalam in improving the performance of its managers. It is hoped that this research can contribute to the development of BWM management theory and practice.

Abstract

Masalah krusial yang dihadapi oleh UMKM adalah masalah pembiayaan. Masih banyak pelaku UMKM yang menggunakan pembiayaan konvensional. Salah satu alternative sumber pembiayaan yang dapat dimanfaatkan oleh UMKM adalah pegadaian syariah. Pegadaian Syari'ah menawarkan berbagai macam produk, diantaranya Produk Arrum. Produk ini menanggapi keluhan pengusaha kecil yang membutuhkan tambahan modal usaha untuk melanjutkan atau memperbesar kelangsungan usahanya. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan peran pegadaian syariah dalam pengembangan UMKM. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatn meta-sintesis. Pencarian literatur menggunakan database Google Scholar. Pencarian artikel dilakukan dengan menggunakan kata kunci “Peran Pegadaian Syariah”. Dilakukan skrining artikel dengam melihat penerbitan rentang waktu tahun 2019 hingga 2023. Berdasarkan hasil meta-sintesis dari 12 artikel ditemukan bahwa pegadaian syariah memiliki peran penting untuk pengembangan UMKM di Indonesia, melalui produk pembiayaan Arrum yaitu dengan memberikan bantuan modal kepada UMKM. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah pegadaian syariah perlu terus untuk mengembangkan produk pembiayaan Arrum,dan meningkatkan promosi mengenai produk.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze students' perceptions of personal financial management at the State Islamic College (STAIN) Bengkalis. Good personal financial management is important for students to achieve financial well-being and avoid financial problems in the future. This study used qualitative methods by distributing questionnaires and conducting interviews with STAIN Bengkalis students to collect data related to their knowledge, attitudes, and behavior in managing personal finances. The results of this study are expected to provide an overview of student perceptions of personal financial management and become a consideration for the campus in developing financial education programs that suit student needs.

Abstract

LAZISMU Pekanbaru is a zakat collection institution which collects, manages and distributes the zakat, infaq, and shadaqah. Specifically, the LAZISMU Pekanbaru has a concentration to foster and empower the economy of the people through the programs it offers to the muzakki (zakat payers) and mustahik (zakat receivers). Therefore, the Zakat Infaq and Sedekah Collection Institute of Muhammadiyah (LAZISMU) Pekanbaru must raise a large amount of zakat funds so that the programs can be carried out properly also post covid-19 pandemic . This research is a descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The results show that Pekanbaru LAZISMU based on the planning process determines the right program, and plans the steps that must be taken in order to carry out the fundraising process. Then, based on organizing function, it provides specifications of activities and tasks carried out by each member so that the fundraising process is implemented. Based on the implementation function, the fundraising of zakat mal is carried out by the muzakki who are willing to pay their zakat in the LAZISMU Pekanbaru trought e-commerce platforms.
