Abstract

This study aims to determine the best supplier for in-Lite lighting products. The company chose criteria and sub-criteria in supplier selection to optimize product sales continuity. This study used the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method, which provided information about the criteria, sub-criteria, and alternatives in the selection of three suppliers: A, B, and C. The existence of priority weights provided a decision in choosing the supplier of the lighting product. The new criteria and sub-criteria were the results of the literature study formulation and then adjusted again with the results of the interview. Seven criteria were determined in this study: production, price, quality, site selection, product suitability, delivery, and service. The results of the calculation of the priority weights of the criteria, sub-criteria, and alternative selection using a questionnaire. The parties involved in the selection of suppliers filled out the questionnaire to obtain a weight for each supplier. Based on the results of AHP calculations, supplier A got the highest weight of 0,442 or 44%, so this supplier is used as a company priority in choosing suppliers for in-Lite type lighting products.

Abstract

The oil palm is the most productive plantation product in Indonesia. Government strategies and policies related to oil palm plantations continue to be carried out considering that the plantation area is increasing every year. Segmentation of oil palm plantations based on area, production, and productivity aims to identify groups of potential oil palm plantations in the territory of Indonesia. This segmentation can provide consideration in formulating strategies and policies that will be made by the government. The segmentation method for grouping oil palm plantations uses the K-Means Clustering Data Mining technique with 3 clusters specified. Data mining stages start from data collection until representation is carried out, where 34 data sets are collected, only 25 data sets can be processed further. The results of this grouping obtained three plantation segments, namely 72% of the plantation group with low potential, 20% of the plantation group with medium potential, and 8% of the plantation group with high potential.

Abstract

Quality control is intended to maintain and improve quality and maintain the safety of the products produced. This study uses Statistical Process Control by using several tools such as check sheets, control charts and fishbone diagrams to determine the cause of the decline in quality in tea with the aim that the next process can minimize the level of product quality decline. This study aims to determine the dominant cause of the decline in tea quality when viewed from the water content in tea. Based on the results of the study, it can be seen that the dominant cause of the decline in tea quality is the highwater content of dry tea. This type of deterioration can be caused by human error and other factors such as machine condition, raw materials and process monitoring.

Abstract

Overload is a condition where the goods stored in the warehouse exceed the existing capacity. With the accumulation, it will increase the storage cost for the products/goods stored. The purpose of this research was to help companies determine the optimal amount of production, optimal production time intervals and maximum product inventory so that there is no excess stock of products in the warehouse, and to obtain a minimum total inventory cost by using the Economic Production Quantity (EPQ) model. To collect the data needed in this study, secondary data was used which consists of production data and product delivery of company X. From the research results, the optimal production rate (Q*) is 13,646 MT/production cycle with an optimal production time interval of 1.16 months. or equal to 35 days, the maximum amount of inventory (Imax) was 429 MT. The total minimum inventory cost in one production cycle/month is Rp.167,925,698.28, -. The difference in total inventory costs generated using the EPQ method and calculations based on company conditions is 9% or equivalent to Rp.16,538,501, -. Based on the results of the sensitivity analysis it was known that all parameters are sensitive to Q*, Imax, and total inventory costs. However, a significant change is the parameter of saving costs, where the increase and decrease in saving costs will decrease and increase Q*, Imax, and the total cost of inventory

Abstract

The company runs a business by providing services related to storage and handling of goods in warehouses to its customers, namely PT Semarang Autocom Manufacturing Indonesia Jepara (SAMI-JF) and Tugu (SAMI-TF). Goods from SAMI-JF and SAMI-TF customers have similarities so that checkers often have difficulty identifying and finding items to be inspected. This causes delays in checking goods in the inbound inspection area, resulting in a delay in the putaway process. This study aims to provide suggestions for improving the placement of goods in the inbound inspection area in the logistics warehouse. The method used is the Class Based Storage method. Based on data processing, the results of the proposed improvements are the location of goods placement in the logistics warehouse divided into two groups, namely groups A and B. Goods from SAMI-JF customers use the area from block 1 to block 19, while goods from SAMI-TF customers use blocks 20 to 38 blocks with a total distance of 2593.5 m. The results of the proposal are expected to reduce the occurrence of delays in checking goods in the inbound inspection area and completing putaways
