Abstract

Agroindustry needs further attention from the relationship between supply chain actors to improve efficiency in terms of partnerships and the application of modern technology today. Supply chain management in agroindustry emphasizes a management approach to a network of facilities and distribution channels that includes procurement of materials, production, and delivery of agroindustry products to end consumers. The research methodology used is the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, which is the literature review method that identifies, evaluates, and interprets all findings on a research topic, to answer research questions. The results of the study imply that in order to manage the agroindustry supply chain the entire supply chain structure must be well understood by focusing more on the quality of external relations with supply chain actors and who focus actor on partnership, trust and sustainability in conducting agroindustry supply chain activities. Agroindustry managers must investigate why they must manage, what must be managed and how to manage agroindustry supply chains. To explore the agroindustry supply chain that a manager must integrated the system, examine the nature, linkages and dependencies between business operations in the agroindustry supply chain. Suggestions from researchers that this four-step approach to meeting sustainability must be implemented in the agroindustry supply chain, and optimalized or later all organizations will adopt the SCM concept in achieving competitive advantage.

Abstract

Inventory of finished goods needs to be planned and controlled regularly. Fulfilling customer demand whenever and wherever is the main purpose of the supply. This issue is related to production activities. Many companies use the Economic Production Quantity (EPQ) Model in determining the size of their lot productions. This model is able to show how to minimize total production costs by reducing inventory costs. Customer behavior at PT XYZ makes product delivery divided into 2 types. The first type, finished goods is sent continuously in small amounts called continue demand. The second type, products is sent between certain time intervals in large quantities called discrete demand. Basic EPQ Model’s parameters do not accommodate a system like this. In addition, PT XYZ requires rework for products that do not pass the quality test. Therefore, this research was developed to formulate EPQ model that can accommodate two types of demand, continue and discrete, as well as the existence of rework policy. This study tries to provide another approach in solving the derivation problem using the "Arithmetic-Geometric Mean" method. The results of this study will display a mathematical formulation to find the optimal production cycle time for PT XYZ. Numerical examples are discussed to show practical models.

Abstract

Quality is a benchmark to determine the level of good and bad of a product. The level of quality of a product will affect customer satisfaction, hence, to produce high quality products, it is necessary for a company to have a quality control process. Quality control is a process that aims to maintain the quality of products and services that have been promised to consumers. In this study, quality control is carried out in the sugar packaging process. Where in the sugar packaging process found the resulting product has a poor quality, defective and not in accordance with specifications. This study uses the Statistical Process Control (SPC) method which aims to determine the causes of defective products with the intention that the packaging process can further minimize the level of product defects. The SPC method is a statistical analysis technique with seven statistical tools or seven tools. Based on the results of the study it can be seen that the cause of product damage / defects in the product packaging process is caused by three types of damage namely damage due to conveyor (38.17%), damage due to machine pinched (35.82%), and damage due to loose seams (26,00%) This type of damage can be caused by human error and other factors such as engine condition, engine cleanliness and the monitoring process. Proposed improvements recommended for the company are to provide training to employees, make clear work instructions, conduct periodic maintenance for the machines used, supervise all work areas, and carry out quality control for every acceptance of raw materials.

Abstract

The increase in household electrical energy causes shrinkage of energy so that efforts are needed to conserve energy, especially electrical energy. One attempt to reducing the scarcity of electrical energy is by changing behavior. Changes in the behavior of electricity consumption can be influenced by psychological factors (norms, awareness, etc.), demographic factors (age, gender, income, etc.), and other factors such as regulations or policies from the government to conserve energy. This study seeks to determine the effect of psychological and regulatory factors on the behavior of household electricity consumption based on age. The method used was to conduct a survey by distributing questionnaires, the respondents obtained were 808 respondents. The results of the questionnaire were processed using the Structural Equation Model Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) using the Smart-PLS software. The results of this study indicate that psychological and regulatory factors can explain their effect on the behavior of electrical energy consumption for ages <30 years of 50.9%. For 30-50 years old it is 49.5% while those> 50 years old are 59.3% and the rest is explained by other factors / variables outside those that have been studied so that it can be concluded that psychological factors and regulatory factors have a significant and significant influence. positive behavior towards household electrical energy consumption at all ages. it is expected that the results of this study can become the basis for making stronger regulations or policies in the field of energy conservation.

Abstract

PT. X is a company engaged in shipping services. This company has a spare part storage warehouse that is not yet effective and efficient. This can be seen from the placement of items that are not suitable and require a long time in the process of picking up goods. This study aims to redesign the layout of the storage warehouse using the shared storage method. Shared storage is a method of arranging a storage area based on the warehouse floor area by placing the items that are sent immediately closest to the door, and so on. This method uses the FIFO (first in first out) principle so that the outbound process is easier and takes less time to search for goods. Based on the processing using the shared storage method, a proposal is made to improve the layout by adding 2 storage racks arranged by product type. The previous pallet 1210 became 3234. Forging of storage racks takes into account the size of the demand, so that products with more demand are placed in the area close to the door. With this, there are no more products stored in any area, and product collection will be easier and faster.

Abstract

Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) ia a quality control system from the preparation of raw maerials to the product and accepted by consumers. HACCP is a requirement for guaranteeing the safety of food products produced according to company quality standards. PT. X produces packaged coconut milk as one of the main products and has implemented HACCP in every production process of its products. The packaged coconut milk that is produced often gets bloated in the finished product warehouse before the product is distributed. Therefore it is necessary to analyze the application of HACCP in the production of packaged coconut milk. HACCP application in the packaged coconut milk production process has set 4 Critical control points. CCP 1 (UHT Sterilization System & Aseptic Tank), CCP 2 (Filtration 500 micron), CCP 3 (Product Sterilization at 140-148ºC) and CCP 4 (Filling with Astepo Filler Filling Machine). Each Critical Control Point has physical and biological hazards, which must be controlled to ensure food safety. The research objective was to analyze the implementation of HACCP plan for coconut milk products based on SNI No. 01-4852-1998 regarding the HACCP system and analyzing the causes of product defects (bloating) in the determination of the CCP. Based on the analysis of HACCP application and the causes of product defects in packaged coconut milk, product defects due to bloating are not defects in the production process but defects caused by cross-contamination of microbes after filling. Cross contamination occurs due to cracks in the neck of the aseptic bag cup that cannot be detected directly, and the use of tools that should not be used during the filling process.
