Abstract

Empathy is the ability to think and feel person’s situation or condition as a concept that involvescognitive and emotional as form of responses to help someone through communication. Based on thephenomena that often occurred in the fields, there are many students who unconcerned to their friend’sproblem. Unconcern means the people couldn’t feel people’s situation and condition as a concept that involvescognitive and emotional as form of responses to help someone, it can be categorized as low empathy. If theproblems are allowed continuously, it could be imagined that the students will be a crisis of self-awareness tothe importance of empathy to the other people which is illustrated by bad interpersonal relationship. Thesolutions can be offered to improve the empathy through observed puppet learning model. In this case puppetmodel is used as treatments in giving comprehension about the empathy and giving fun learning becauseconsist of humorous aspect. Besides that, by observing the behavior, attitudes, and emotional reactions ofpuppet model is used, students are expected to make a decision what they have to do of their empathy. In thiscase, it refers to the theory of social cognitive. So, person’s empathy would be created through puppet model.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara siswa melalui tehnik role playpada siswa kelas VIII MTs Surya Buana. Hasil dari study pendahuluan menunjukkan bahwa siswa tidak dapatberbicara dengan baik, kurang dalam tata bahasa, dan mereka mempunyai cukup kosa kata. Peneliti tertarikdalam melakukan penelitian tindakan kelas untuk mengidentifikasi dan menyelesaikan permasalahan siswadalam berbicara. Peneliti memfokuskan pada tiga aspek yaitu kosa kata, kelancaran, dan ketepatan. Dalammelaksanakan kegiatan, penelitian ini adalah kolaborasi dimana peneliti dan guru bahasa Inggris berkolaborasidalam mempersiapkan dan melaksanakan kegiatan peran kolaborator adalah untuk mengobservasi kegiatanselama proses belajar mengajar dan mengisi instrumen-instrumen. Kegiatan diterapkan dalam satu siklus dansiswa sudah mencapai kriteria sukses. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan dari penggunaantehnik role play dalam pengajaran berbicara dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara siswa.

Abstract

Technology and science for community (IbM) program aimed to create opportunities becameagropreneur (entrepreneurship based on processing agricultural products) for unemployment female throughimplementing training in making “Kerja Mas” (Keripik Jagung Manis) whose product had economic value andcould be marketed to general public. In implementing IbM program had been effort to improve knowledge andskills for female in Sesela Village in order to be able to develop business center of processing sweet cornwhich was affordable and could be received by public. This IbM program has implemented well throughsocialization activities, preparation activities, counseling material, training making Kerja Mas (keripik jagungmas), and mentoring. The result of implementing IbM program such as;(1) overall participants could make“kerja mas” product which already tested through organoleptic test, (2) “kerja mas” product had obtainedlicense of Dinkes P-IRT to guarantee decent healthy food consumption for public; (3) the product packing of“kerja mas” was fascinating and could be marketed in public; (4) establishing Joint Business Group (KUBE)“kerja mas” wa legal as center of processing sweet corn and as effort consummate agropreneur at Seselavillage, and (5) the result of IbM program could be published in Jurnal Ilmiah ISSN.

Abstract

Main objectives of this research are to analysis the increase in understanding biochemistry conceptscomprehensively caused by practice concept modification (Carbohydate-Enzyme) and analysis the efficiencyof practical activities caused by practice concept modification (Carbohydate-Enzyme). Research conducted inSeptember through November 2015 are analytical descriptive research, there are 80 students as respondentswere devided into 2 groups of treatment, namely group A as group with practice module that has not beenmodified and group B with practice module that have been modified. Paired t test result showed that groupwith practice module were modified to get the score of post-test evaluation better and significantly differentthan group with practice module that has not been modified. The validation result of practice module bystudents, instucture, material experts and media experts showed that practice module modified is eligible toused as practical module in the future.

Abstract

Opinion Proof is a learning strategy that is used to overcome the problem of reading in English. Opinion Proof strategy can be used to help facilitate students' reading comprehension in English. The objective of the research is to determine whether or not Opinion Proof Strategy can improve reading ability of second semester of IKIP PGRI Madiun. This research is a classroom action research. There are several steps in each cycle. They are planning, action, observation and reflection. The techniques of collecting the data are test, observation, interview, and documentation. Meanwhile, the thecniques of analyzing the data are descriptive statistics, reducing, displaying and conclsion.  With Proof Opinion strategy, students are more creative, students can develop the imagination, the students easily understand the content of the reading of the text, motivate the students to read, and students do not feel bored.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah: 1) untuk mengidentifikasi penggunaan lagu bahasa Inggris dalampengajaran listening bagi siswa semester satu program studi pendidikan bahasa Inggris IKIP PGRI Madiuntahun Akademik 2014/2015. 2) untuk mengidentifikasi permasalahan yang muncul dikelas dari penggunaanlagu bahasa Inggris dalam pengajaran listening bagi siswa semester satu program studi pendidikan bahasaInggris English tahun Akademik 2014/2015. 3) untuk mengidentifikasi solusi dari permasalahan yang munculdikelas dari penggunaan lagu bahasa Inggris dalam pengajaran listening bagi siswa semester satu programstudi pendidikan bahasa Inggris English tahun Akademik 2014/2015 Penelitian ini menggunakan metodepenelitian kualitatif. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa semester satu program studi pendidikan bahasaInggris IKIP PGRI Madiun pada tahun akademik 2014/2015. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas Bsemester satu. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dalam pengambilan sample penelitian.Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisisdata yang digunakan adalah reduksi data, display data dan penarikan kesimpulan atau verifikasi.Hasilpenelitian ini adalah: 1) Pelaksanaan lagu bahasa Inggris dalam mengajar listening terdiri dari tiga tahap yaitu:a) pre activity, whilst activity dan post activity 2) Permasalahan yang muncul dalam penggunaan dikelasadalah lagu yang diputar terlalu cepat, sehingga siswa kesulitandalam memahami isi lagu dan siswa sulit untukmenulis kosakata berdasarkan lagu yang telah mendengarkan 3) Solusi yang diberikan dalam mengatasipermasalahan yang muncul adalah dengan cara memutar lagu lebih dari tiga kali dan mahasiswa harus lebihberkonsentrasi dalam mendengarkan lagu yang diputar dalam melengkapi vocabulary.

Abstract

Background study of this research was target teachers’ competency at SD Negeri Model Mataram inarranging proper lesson plan was low so it has impact less confidence in learning process. The solusion wasconducted guidance either group or individual in arranging proper and good lesson plan. It aimed to knoweffectiveness of implementing guidance based|MGMP in effort improving teachers’ competency in arrangingproper and good lesson plan, which useful to improve professionalism as headmaster and for teachers toimprove learning process in classroom. Action hypothesis: it improved target teachers’ competency at SDNNegeri Model Mataram first semester in acedemic year 2015/2016 in arranging good and proper lesson plan.This research was conducted in two cycles, every cycle was twoo meetings. Stage in every cycle was planning,acting, observing, and reflecting. Indicator of succesful in this research was; 1) result of headmasters’observation or teachers’ observation as long as guidance process got mean score > 4,0, 2) result of teachers’work in arranging lesson plan was> 100% with mean score > 70,00. Result of reseach in cycle I mean score ofheadmasters’ observation (3,30), mean score of teachers’ observation (3,40) and mean score of individual workresult (66,40) with percentage of completeness (10%). In cycle II mean score of headmasters’ observation(4,30), mean score of teachers’ observation (4,20), and mean score of individual work result (82,40)withpercentage of completeness (100%). Indicator of successful was reached, this research was succeed andstopped in cycle II. Conclusion; implementing guidance could improve target teachers’ competency at SDNegeri Model Mataram in arranging good and proper lesson plan. Suggested in order to others headmasterconducted similar research in effort improving teachers’ competency , and for teacher in order to be ablearrange good and proper lesson plan.

Abstract

The background study of this research was result of students’ mathematic achievement at fifth gradeof SDN 10 Mataram on FPB and KPK material was low. It caused by teachers didn’t use props which suitablein learning process. To solve problem above, it was conducted action with using props cart factor to improveresult of students’ mathematic achievement at fifth grade students of SDN 10 Mataram on FPB and KPKmaterials. Stage of this research consisted of planning, acting, observing, evaluating and reflecting. Subject ofthis research was all of fifth grade students of SDN 10 Mataram was 47 students, consisted of 21 femalestudents and 26 male students. Data of this research was result of students’ learning achievement and teachers’activities and students’ activities. Result of students’ learning was gotten with giving test and data of teachers’activities and students’ activities was gotten through observation sheet. Score of students’ activities was 20,66and teachers’ activities was 22,68 with very good category. And mean score of students was 79,02. That scoreshowed that there is improved from previous year got score 66,54. Beside that classical completeness wasimproved from academic year 2013/2014 with percentage of completeness was 32,61% become 85,11% inacedemic year 2014/2015. Conclusion of using prop cart factor was prop cart factor could improve result oflearning achievement on FPB and KPK materials at fifth grade students of SDN 10 Mataram.

Abstract

Art Market Sesela has important role in facilitating the craftsman and souvenir sellers in WestLombok Regency to sell their products. This place also becomes one of the most favorite spot for the touriststo enjoy art performances such as Stick Fighting, and other traditional dances. It is located in Sesela Village,Gunungsari District, West Lombok Regency which is the center of traditional handicraft industry. This ArtMarket is regularly visited by domestic and foreign tourists. As to provide the maximum service to the tourists,the craftsmen and souvenir sellers should be provided with adequate English language skills. It is indispensablefor the craftsmen and souvenir sellers who mostly graduated from elementary school and reluctant to continuetheir education to the higher level as they cannot afford to pay school fees. As English language is importantfor the Craftsman and souvenir sellers in supporting their maximum service to the tourists, therefore the Teamis intended to provide training of Basic English for them. This is intended to enable the Craftsman and souvenirsellers to communicate in English appropriately. This program is expected to be implemented continuallyevery year.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berhubungan dengan penggunaan small group discussion dalam pengajaranpemahaman membaca pada SMAN 2 Mataram khususnya kelas dua. Penelitian ini diharapkan bermanfaat bagipendidikan dan pengembangan materi mengenai informasi tentang peranan dari penggunaan metode smallgroup discussion untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dalam pemahaman membaca, sebagai cara untukmenyelesaikan permasalahan siswa dalam pemahaman membaca dan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan guruguru.Untuk mendapatkan data yang diperlukan, penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kuasi eksperimentalagar mendapatkan data dan menganalisanya; dan sampel dari penelitian berjumlah 48 siswa. Sampel diambilsecara acak dari empat kelas yang mana menjadi populasi penelitian. Data yang dikumpulkan melalui pre-test,dan post-test. Dari hasil t-hitung (2.169) lebih tinggi dari t-tabel (1.679). Dengan demikian, penggunaan smallgroup discussion efektif dalam pengajaran pemahaman membaca pada kelas dua SMAN 2 Mataram.
