Abstract

The problem in this study was the improvement of student learning outcomes in heat and its transfer with the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) Cooperative Learning Model in V grade students at SDN 18 Sungai Ambawang. The research method used was descriptive research. The study was classroom action research with a collaborative nature with a teacher. The subjects in this study were 14 students of V grade at SDN 18 Sungai Ambawang, Sungai Ambawang District. Data collection techniques in this study were measurement techniques. The instrument used was the observation sheet. The results of this study were as follows: (1) Learning planning with NHT Cooperative Learning Model in improving student learning outcomes on the subject of heat and its transfer in V grade at SDN 18 Sungai Ambawang has been implemented well. It can be seen from the teacher's ability in designing lesson plan (RPP) in the first cycle the average was 66.9, while in the second cycle, it increased to 89.7; (2) The implementation of NHT Cooperative Learning Model in improving student learning outcomes on heat and its transfer material in V grade at SDN 18 Sungai Ambawang has been carried out well, this can be seen from the average teacher activity in the first cycle was 62.5 increases to 92.5 in cycle II (3) There was an increase in student learning outcomes, as evidenced by the increase in the average score of student learning outcomes from cycle I, namely 61.07 to 71.42 in cycle II. It has achieved the minimum completeness criteria (KKM) target of 60 and showed a significant increase.

Abstract

The problems of this research focused on the planning, implementation and obstacles of applying a scientific approach to thematic spider web learning models, aiming at making learners more active, critical thinking, the direct process experienced by the learners, the learning could be more meaningful, contextual and fun. This research was conducted at  SDN (State Elementary School) 07 and  SDN 36 at Sungai Ambawang District. It is descriptive qualitative research. The subjects of this research were the educators and the students of grade IV at SDN 07 and SDN 36 of Sungai Ambawang District. The techniques of data collection used were observation, interview, and documentation study. Data analysis was conducted through the steps: data reduction, data display, and conclusion. The technique for examining data validity was by triangulation. The results revealed that the educators had implemented the scientific approach on the thematic spider web learning model. The scientific approach implemented, includes: (1) observing, (2) questioning, (3) trying, (4) reasoning, and (5) communicating. The obstacles encountered in this lesson were lack of adequate facilities and infrastructure, the ability of their educators in mastering the learning strategy, and the low-level participation of some parents who were less concerned about their children's education and also the different characteristics of the learners.

Abstract

This study aims to form the characters of Indonesian students through the implementation of Value-clarified Techniques with the help of folklore. The implementation of this lesson is based on the dynamics and problematics of characters that occur today in primary schools and intends to bridge the issues. The research design used is the type of action research with the subject of the study of grade V of Pontianak Elementary School Pontianak amounted to 32 people in the first semester. Data collection methods are observation and interview, while to analyze the data with qualitative descriptive. From the analysis of the results of research and discussion obtained the conclusion that the implementation of Value-assisted Clarification Technique folklore can improve the formation of the character of Indonesian students in primary schools.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to obtain objective information and clarity regarding Elementary School Teacher Competitions through Low grade Portfolio Assessment. The results of this study indicated that the development of thematic learning models through the assessment of low-grade portfolio by Bengkayang District Elementary school teachers is in a "sufficient" position. The planning of learning model by elementary school teachers in urban areas had an actual score of 495 and an ideal maximum score of 840 or 58.92% with the category "sufficient." In the suburbs, it had an actual score of 334 and an ideal maximum score of 840 or 39.76% with the "enough" category. While in areas outside the urban area have an actual score of 335 and an ideal maximum score of 840 or 39.88% with the category also "sufficient." In each assessment effect, model planning effect in the Urban area obtained an actual total score of 96 ideal maximum score of 144, = 66.67%; At the Suburbs the actual score was 48 ideal scores 144 = 33.44%; while for the Outer Urban area obtained an actual score of 47 ideal scores 144 = 32.64%. The aspect of the preparatory stage for the implementation of the thematic learning model of low-grade portfolio assessment by elementary school teachers in the urban area obtained an actual score of 80 from an ideal maximum score of 120, reaching 66.67%; Suburbs obtained an actual score of 53 ideal scores 120 = 44.16%; Whereas in the out-of-urban effect urban area, the actual score was 52 ideal scores 120 = 43.33%. Implementation Stage Thematic learning model in the assessment of low-grade portfolio in the urban area obtained an actual score of 201 ideal maximum score of 360, = 55.83%; In the suburbs the actual score: 161 ideal scores 360 = 44.72%; while Out of urban the actual score is 162, the ideal score is 360 = 45.00%. The aspect of How to assess thematic learning models in the assessment of low-grade portfolio in the Urban area obtained the total score of 62 ideal maximum scores of 96, = 64.58%; Suburbs actual score 29 ideal score 96 = 30.21%; While out of urban the actual score of 31 was an ideal score of 96 = 32.29%. The aspect of the implication of thematic learning in the assessment of low-grade portfolio in the urban area obtained the number of actual scores of 57 ideal maximum scores of 120, = 47.50%; Suburbs actual score 43 ideal scores 120 = 35.83%; Out of urban the actual score of 43 was an ideal score of 120 = 35.83% of what it should be. For this reason, it was suggested thematic learning model planning for portfolio assessment should continued to be maintained by increasing the ability to compile annual programs, compile semester programs, compile syllabi, compile lesson plans, compile mapping and learning theme networks. The thematic learning model of portfolio assessment was not rigid but flexible, adapts existing situations, and conditions were active, creative, effective, and pleases learners referring to the concept of independent learning implementation of thematic learning of portfolio assessment by conducting initial activities, core activities, and closing / ending activities. Assessment of the thematic learning model portfolio assessment referred to indicators that have been determined by the education authority. Implications of implementing thematic learning model portfolio assessment was done by giving individual and group assignments by not burdening students, and utilizing and optimizing available learning media.

Abstract

The purpose of this study are: 1) to find out what is learning model for Reading Comprehension in Procedure Text for class IX C students of Adiwerna 5 State Junior High School Semester I Academic Year 2017/2018; 2) to determine whether cooperative learning model with jigsaw technique can improve Reading Comprehension learning outcomes Material Text Procedure for class IX C students of Adiwerna 5 State Junior High School Semester I Academic Year 2017/2018. This research was conducted for six months from July 2017 to December 2017. July and August 2017 are used to prepare proposals and preparations, September 2017 is used to carry out research, October, November 2017 to collect and analyze data, December 2017 to compile reports and seminars. The subjects of this study were students of class IX C of Adiwerna 5 State Junior High School in Tegal Regency, totaling 34 students with details of 16 men and 18 women. Implemented in 2 cycles, to increase the activity and learning outcomes of Reading Comprehension material Procedure Text by using cooperative learning model with jigsaw technique. Each cycle includes four stages which include the planning, implementation, observation and reflection stages. Based on the analysis of the results of observations and assessments conducted by researchers, it can be concluded that: 1) the results of the study in the pre-cycle reached the percentage of student activity of 38.23% in the first cycle and continued in the second cycle reached the average percentage of student activity by 76.48% , means there is an increase of 38.25%; 2) Learning outcomes of Reading Comprehension in Procedure Text also increases. This can be known as the posttest 1 and posttest 2 values that have been measured by the researcher with the classical learning completeness indicator in the precycle is only 32.35% while in the first cycle it reaches 67.65% means there is an increase of 35.30%, and in cycle II it increased to 85.29%, meaning there was an increase of 17.64%.

Abstract

The learning process should activate students by looking at their initial abilities so that the learning that is carried out becomes meaningful. Learning by using a problem-based contextual approach is one of the ways that can be applied so that the learning process not only emphasizes conceptual understanding but also in the problem-solving process. This research was a classroom action research conducted in 2 cycles to improve the quality of the process and learning outcomes. Each cycle consisted of planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The formulation of the problem in this study was "How is the application of problem-based contextual approaches in learning science about living things and their environment to improve student learning outcomes in IV grade SDN 10 Sungai Kakap?". Data analysis techniques in this study were measured from the level of success in implementing classroom actions based on changes in teaching and learning using observation sheets and anecdotal notes narratively as well as improving learning outcomes using test instruments. This classroom action research was conducted at SDN 10 Sungai Kakap on science learning using problem-based contextual approach in IV grade with 41 students. The results showed an increase in learning outcomes where the first cycle of 20 or 48.78% of students had not been completed with an average of 46.61 learning outcomes, and 21 students or 51.21% had been completed with 77.81 learning outcomes. Then in the second cycle, there was an increase in which as much as 2 or 4.87% of students had not been completed with an average learning outcome of 58 and 39 or 95.51% of students had completed with an average learning outcome of 75.86.

Abstract

This study aimed to adjust the predetermined theme with the theme implemented. In addition, giving interesting presentations to students, and teachers can improve the quality of human resources in the field of technology and information. This study used a qualitative approach. Data sources consisted of primary data and secondary data through procedures for collecting data with participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. The data analysis technique in this study used domain techniques, taxonomic techniques, compound techniques, and theme techniques. For the process of checking the validity of the data, a triangulation process was carried out to obtain accurate research results. The results of the study obtained that in thematic learning using the Lesson Plan (RPP) to achieve a basic competency set out in the Content Standards and described in the syllabus through various learning behaviors of students.

Abstract

The learning process of Mathematics in first grade at SDN 10 Sungai Kakap has tended to be conventional and minimal in using media. In the learning process, students feel bored and did not understand the concept of addition. Therefore, classroom action research was carried out to improve the process and learning outcomes of educators by using picture card games. This study aimed to improve students' understanding of the addition count operation using picture card games. The research subjects were 1 A class students of SDN 10 Sungai Kakap, Kubu Raya Regency, 2018/2019 academic year. Based on the results of classroom action research, it can be concluded that the picture card game can improve the understanding of the addition count operations and the active role of students in learning. It could be seen from the presentation of completeness achieved by students. In the initial data of students who have not completed, it reached 53.33%, after improvements in cycle I the completeness increased to 63.33%. There was improvement in the learning process in cycle II to achieve the success criteria based on the results of reflection in cycle I. Affter completing the test, it increased to 93.33%, and there were still 6.67% of students who had not completed it.

Abstract

This study aims to increase the confidence of VII B grade students of SMP Negeri 14 Yogyakarta in learning mathematics through a cooperative learning model of Think Pair Share (TPS) type assisted by working examples. This research is a Classroom Action Research conducted in two cycles. The subjects of this study were students of class VII B of SMP Negeri 14 Yogyakarta in the 2017/2018 academic year consisting of 34 students. The results showed that the students' self-confidence scores in learning mathematics in the first cycle reached 82.36% in the minimally high category. Because these results have not reached the desired target, then proceed with the second cycle. In cycle II, the students' self-confidence scores in learning mathematics reached 88.24% in the minimally high category. It showed that there is an increase in student confidence in learning mathematics through a cooperative learning model type Think Pair Share (TPS) aided by working examples.

Abstract

This study aims to gain an in-depth understanding of the implementation of a process approach in short story writing lessons to students of PGSD Study Program FKIP Untan. This research uses qualitative approach. Sources of data in this study is a short story writing learning event using a process approach. The research procedure used in this research is planning, execution, data analysis, and report writing. Data collecting technique used is direct observation technique and document observation. The data collection tools used are field notes and documentation pertaining to the learning process and learning outcomes. Analysis of this research data begins with data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and inference/verification. Based on the results and discussion in this study can be concluded that the process approach can improve students' writing short story skills. This increase can be seen from the process as well as the product. Learning to write by following the stages of the process approach can help the lecturer to provide variations and stimuli in the task of writing a given short story. The improvement process can be seen from the process of creative writing learning with process approach in student activities and class situation in creative writing poetry learning, while from the product side of the students' writing skill improvement skills.
