Abstract

The talking stick learning model is a learning model that allows students to be active and creative so that Students cognitive learning outcomes can be achieved. This learning model basically uses the help of a stick, but in practice it can be combined with appropriate learning media. In this case, the researcher only used the stick as a test of the talking stick learning model on Studentscognitive learning outcomes. The method of testing this model used a quasi-experimental design with a One-group pretest-posttest design with 3 trials. The results of the research proved that the second (71.56) and third (78.44) experiments have reached the KKM (> 70). This proves that the talking stick learning model can improve Students cognitive biology learning outcomes.

Abstract

Students’ mathematical communication skills in Indonesia are still under expectation. The purpose of this study is to know the effect of using Geometer's Sketchpad Software to students’ mathematical communication skill. Collecting data was done using developed mathematical communication instrument. Moreover, 63 students were participated ini this study. The proposed hypothesis in this study is there is an effect in using Geometer's Sketchpad Software to the students’ mathematical communication skills. The independent variable in this research was Software Geometer's Sketchpad, while the dependent variable was mathematical communication ability. The results shows that there is an effect of using Geometer's Sketchpad Software to the students’ mathematical communication skill.

Abstract

AbstractThe background this time is how the scoring system is still objective in the thesis trial system, therefore withthis decision support system, the objective assessment will become a definite scoring system, and will beable to help examiners provide the best advice to take. decisions to be taken during the student thesis trial. The method used in this research is to use quantitative methods, by conducting a librarian study and thencombined with data taken from student participants in the thesis examination, with the library studymethod, it will be possible to explore this research and data processing will also be maximized. Manysystems use the AHP algorithm method to make decisions that are difficult to make, using the AHP methodcan be taken into consideration in making decisions, because data processing using the AHP method willprovide the best advice for making an important decision. This research will produce a system proposal andhow the data is obtained, then how the data is processed to produce a system proposal, which is best formaking decisions about students who are currently passing their thesis exams or not, with the proposedsystem will greatly help the examiner take decisions that were previously objective. Keywords: Decision Support System, Thesis Session, Pass, AHP.

Abstract

The quality of education in an educational institution will be greatly influenced by the potential of educational institutions and the governance system. The existing potential must be optimized to support quality improvement. Likewise, the education governance system will develop well when it is implemented through a good system by professional managers. The system has been designed in detail by the government which was stipulated by the Minister of National Education Regulation No. 19 of 2007 concerning "Education Management Standards by Primary and Secondary Education Units". This regulation was prepared by the government to regulate a good, balanced and sustainable governance system. The problem is determined to what extentthe ability of educational institutions to optimize the potential of the institution and optimizing inputs, processes, outputs and outcomes, starting from planning, organizing, actuiting, and controlling. This paper will discuss the improving educational quality through optimizing the potential of educational institutions in Indonesia in order to achieve shared ideals for a better educational future.

Abstract

The motorcycle is the most used vehicle of transportation in developing countries. Driving a motorcycle has a very high risk of having an accident. One of the main causes of the accident is human behavior that violates the driving regulations. The interactions in the public space are close to nonverbal communication. Very little is understood about the rationale of driving behavior of motorcycle users, especially on the non-compliance behavior. The research objectives are to know what forms of non-compliance behaviors the motorcyclist has committed and to know how motorcyclists interpret non-compliance with motorbike riding. This is a phenomenological study, by observation, interviews, and secondary data collection. The total informants are 16 people between 12-60 years. The results show that the types of violations that riders have committed almost similar to the previous researches. The difference is about the driving against the traffic flow/incoming traffic that mentioned in almost all informants' statements and none of the informants studied stated that they were driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Motorcyclists interpret a motorbike as running water. The main finding of this research shows that Residential area syndrome that refers to the concept of proxemics is the reason for non-compliance behavior due to lack of knowledge and lack of supervision. A better understanding of the proxemics can create a better approach for communication to increase the compliance behavior in motorcycling to reduce the traffic accidents caused by human error.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how much influence Current Ratio (CR), Debt to Asset Ratio (DAR) and Gross Profit Margin (GPM) on Financial Distress and moderated by Stock Prices. The population in this study were 24 companies in the retail subsector listed on the Southeast Asian Stock Exchange for the period 2012-2019. The method used is purposive sampling so that 15 companies that present complete financial reports according to the variables studied and obtained as many as 105 company samples were subjected to data outliers because the data did not have a normal distribution, thus 81 samples were obtained. The analysis technique used is multiple regression analysis and Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). The results showed that the Debt to Asset Ratio (DAR) partially affected Financial Distress, while Current Ratio (CR) and Gross Profit Margin (GPM) partially had no significant effect on Financial Distress and simultaneously CR, DAR, GPM had an effect on Financial Distress. The moderation test shows that the stock price in this study is proven to moderate the relationship of the independent variables (CR, DAR and GPM) to the dependent variable (Financial Distress).

Abstract

At the end of 2019, the world is being hit by a pandemic worrying for humanity. Covid-19 first appeared in the city of Wuhan, China, and spread massively throughout the world afterwards. WHO has designated Covid-19 as a pandemic that is difficult to control as of March 11, 2020. As of April 2020, there have been more than 2 million cases of people in the world infected with Covid-19, and 195 thousand people died at that time. In Indonesia itself, the government has taken preventive measures to respond and prevent the virus's spread. The response of the government, especially local governments in Indonesia, is very diverse. Judging from the local government's readiness, some have responded slowly and underestimated this pandemic's emergence. Therefore, in this paper, the state's readiness, especially local governments, will be highlighted in facing a crisis (pandemic) from the aspects of risk, impact, and mitigation to the community itself.

Abstract

The problem with the low quality of financial reports in local governments is the reason this research was conducted. This research was conducted with the aim of analyzing the use of information technology on the quality of financial reports by considering the internal control system (SPI) factor. The location of this research is in the Karisidenan Surakarta area which includes 6 districts and 1 city. The population of this research is all state civil servants (ASN) in local governments who work in accounting. The sampling technique was using purposive sampling method. The results showed that the use of information technology had a positive effect on the quality of financial reporting in local governments, while the internal control system moderated the effect of the use of information technology on the quality of financial reporting in local governments.

Abstract

The stress experienced by most students is academic stress. This academic stress is closely related to students' academic processes and the environment that affects the academic process. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between academic stress and student learning achievement. This study was a cross-sectional design with purposive sampling of 126 respondents. Data were collected at a nursing academy in Jakarta in 2018. The instrument used was the Student Life Stress Inventory (SLSI) questionnaire. Results showed most students were female(88.9%), from Senior High School majoring in science (38.9%), very satisfyinglearning achievement (91.3%), and experience severe academic stress (55.6%). There is no significant relationship between learning achievement and academic stress (p = 0.317) and gender (p-value 0.370). There is a significant relationship between learning achievement and sebior high school majoring (p=value 0.005) and age (p-value 0.007). Institutions should identify sources of the academic stressor and apply appropriate coping mechanisms to reduce academic stress. Keywords:academic stress, learning achievement, nursing student.
