Abstract

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a chronic metabolic disease that causes death in the world. The government’s effort to help patients with DM slow down to meet complications with the integrated health service system, namely Prolanis. This study aims to determine the relationship between the achievement of ideal blood glucose levels with the accuracy of the rules for using Antidiabetic Oral (ADO), and compliance with coming to health facilities, as well as the relationship between achieving ideal blood pressure with the accuracy of rules for using antihypertension drug and compliance with coming to health facilities. The research was conducted at the Darmarini Public Health Center, Temanggung with the research subject of DM patients with comorbid hypertension, the number of prolanis participants was 47 people. Data processing is analyzed by chi-square. There is a relationship if p<0,05 and expected count >5. This study showed that there was a significant relationship between the achievement of ideal blood glucose levels with the rules for using ADO, but there was no relationship between the achievement of ideal blood glucose levels with compliance with visits to health facilities, achieving ideal blood pressure level with the accuracy of the rules of use and compliance with visits to health facilities

Abstract

Pharmacists as pharmaceutical personnel who have the authority to be able to practice and provide direct and responsible services to patients. One of the provisions of pharmaceutical supplies is phytopharmaceutical preparations. Phytopharmaceutical preparations have been widely introduced to the community as an alternative therapy, but the problem is that there is still a lack of knowledge about the change from natural medicines to phytopharmaceuticals from Standardized Herbal Medicines or due to a lack of information for explaining the types of phytopharmaceutical preparations. Phytopharmaca Information System or SIFITA is an application designed using web-based software that contains information about phytopharmaca which is expected to help and facilitate pharmacists and the public in obtaining information about phytopharmaca. The purpose of this study was to determine the user satisfaction of SIFITA (Phytopharmaca Information System) with the End User's Computing Satisfaction (EUCS) Model by Pharmacists in Semarang City. Prospective observational method with questionnaire instruments that have been tested for validity and reliability. The population is pharmacists practicing in Semarang City with a sample size calculated using the Slovin Formula with a 90% confidence level of 250 sample responses. Presentation of results is using percentages. The results of the study, namely about the Content side of the use of the SIFITA Phytopharmaca Information System, stated that 76.00% had considered good and 22.00% were very good, the rest were those who said 0.4.00% were not good. Based on the Content variable, it can be seen that respondents' satisfaction is very high regarding the completeness of the application, meeting the needs for services. On the accuracy side, 85.40% said good and 12.60% very good, 0.4.00% not good. The Ease of use side states that 92.00% is good, 8.00% is very good. Form (Format) mentions very good 85.60% good as much as 14.40%.

Abstract

The galangal plant, which many people still don't know about, has a variety of interesting benefits. Among other things, kencur leaves contain chemical compounds such as flavonoids and essential oils which have antimicrobial properties. This study aims to activate the antibacterial activity of ethanol extract of kencur leaves against Propionibacterium acnes, as well as to measure how effective it is at different concentrations. The extraction process uses 96% ethanol solvent with the Remaceration method, which is then accompanied by phytochemical screening and TLC tests to strengthen the results. Antibacterial activity tests were carried out using the disc diffusion method at concentrations of 0.3%, 0.6%, 1.2% and 2.4%. The results show the inhibition zone at each concentration, namely 6.86 mm, 8.4 mm, 9.8 mm, and 10.96 mm. Phytochemical analysis identified secondary metabolite compounds such as tannins, saponins and flavonoids with Rf values of 0.925 each; 0.825; and 0.8125. Statistical analysis showed a significant difference between concentrations of 0.3% and 1.2%.

Abstract

Chitosan is chitin that is deacetylated as much as possible whose quality can be measured by the value of % N-Deacetylated. Chitosan has the potential to be used in various industrial and health fields, so its needs are influenced by its quality standards. Crab shells, which are one of the sources of chitosan-making materials, have not yet been fully utilized, especially shells from consumption waste (restaurants). Researchers intend to test Chitosan derived from raw and cooked crab shells to compare their quality. The process of making chitosan goes through three main stages, namely deproteination, demineralization and deacetylation, while at the analysis stage using the base line method using an FT-IR spectrophotometer. As a result, the %N-Deacetylated price was obtained at 74.8640% in the raw crab shell sample (A), while in the cooked crab shell sample (B), the %N-deacetylation price was 68.9313 %. The difference between sample A and sample B is only 5.9327%.
