Abstract

The aim of the present study was to develop and validate HPLC method for the simultaneous assay of metamizole, thiamine and pyridoxine in tablet. Metamizole is a substance that is easily hydrolyzed in the precence of water and oxygen. To inhibit the hydrolysis of metamizole during sample preparation prior to HPLC analysis, sodium sulfite is added and its optimum concentration was investigated. The chromatographic system includes a RP C8(2) column (150x4.6 mm, 5 µm particle size) in conjunction with Photo Diode Array (PDA) detector. The optimal chromatographic condition was obtained using a mobile phase consisting of phosphate buffer 35mM pH 3.0: methanol (80:20), flowrate 1.0 ml/min, and 10 µl injection volume. The metamizole, thiamine and pyridoxine were detected at 275 nm and 361 nm for cyanocobalamin. The Hydrolysis of metamizole was successfully inhibited by adding solution containing 1.5 mg/mL sodium sulfite to solvent and 0.5 mg/mL sodium sulfite to mobile phase. The validation results indicate a good specificity and a linear detector responses with r>0.999. The accuracy (% recovery) for metamizole, thiamine and piridoxine were 100.26%; 99.09%; and 100.03%, respectively. The method yields good precision with RSD of metamizole, thiamine and pyridoxine were 2.0912%; 1.4489%; and 0.8418% respectively. In the robustness study, the small changes of mobile phase pH yielded unsymmetrical peaks and lower resolution. The validated method was successfully applied for simultaneous assay of metamizole, thiamine and pyridoxine in tablet. Abstract

Postpartum depression is a relatively severe depression that occurs after delivery. The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of maternal factors and social support on postpartum depression. This study used a cross-sectional design. The population was postpartum mothers in Ngariboyo, Magetan Regency with a sample size of 100 respondents. Samples were taken by consecutive sampling. Data were collected with the Indonesian version of the EPDS questionnaire and husbands' social support. Data were analyzed using logistic regression test. The prevalence of postpartum depression in Ngariboyo Community Health Center, Magetan used the EPDS were 49 mothers (49%). The result of this research showed that there risk factors for depression in the postpartum mother were parity, work, and support of the husband. The most influential factor was parity (p = 0.004; OR 3.709). The conclusion of this research was the smaller of parity, the higher the risk of postpartum depression. Working mothers were the higher of the risk of postpartum depression. The lower the husband support, the higher the risk of postpartum depression. Counseling during pregnancy with the involvement of husbands needs to be improved as an effort to prevented postpartum depression. Keywords: age; parity; work; husband support; postpartum depression

Abstract

Introduction: Poverty was regarded as a common problem existed in many countries, either in developed countries or developing countries, even, the poverty was still a priority problem in SDGs era. In 2018 East Java was positioned on the first rank of highest level of poverty in Java, particularly Jember Regency was ranked in the second. The government of East Java has observed this poverty phenomenon on female society, which was then called as poverty feminization. Therefore, the government of East Java established a program of poverty alleviation on women, it was known as a feminization program of poverty reduction. This program aimed to provide job or job, so the matriarch would have access to several sectors, as economic, education, or health. The easy access given to the matriarch was expected to realize more quality of life. Methods: This research was categorized into quantitative research and exerted cross sectional approach. The total population in this research was taken from all women who got help from the feminization program of poverty reduction in Jember, specifically the total were about 1227 respondents. The method of sampling was purposive sampling by employing representative of data sampling in each sub-regency. The total sample in this research were 302 respondents. Further, the data was collected through instrument of WHOQOL-BREF questionnaire, while the data was analyzed through Spearman correlation method. Results: According to the result of data analysis on factor of job to the life quality, it was obtained p-value of 0.000, which referred the correlation between job and life quality of matriarch. Moreover, the data analysis on factor of income to the life quality, it was obtained p-value of 0.000, which referred the relation between income and life quality of matriarch. Conclusion: There was a relation between job as well as income and the life quality of matriarch. Keywords: matriarch; feminization of poverty; job; income; life quality

Abstract

Background: Results of preliminary studies conducted at the Puskesmas Hospitalization in the city of Surabaya regarding duties and responsibilities as a midwife, showed that midwives had overlapping duties and responsibilities because midwives not only handled maternal and child problems as their main duties and functions, but midwives also carried out all activities. The Puskesmas in its working area includes 6 basic six primary health centers, namely prevention and control of diseases, health promotion, MCH and family planning services, environmental health, nutrition improvement, and basic treatment and services. In addition, midwives also carry out other administrative activities such as joining the kecamatan and kelurahan PKK driving teams, and becoming treasurers of the National Health Insurance (JKN). This is due to the limited personnel owned by the Puskesmas so that it can affect the workload of midwives, because in addition to exercising their authority the midwife also carries out other tasks. Based on the above problems, and remembering the duties and functions of midwives as maternal and child health providers, it is important to conduct research on midwife workload analysis in carrying out their authority in the working area of Surabaya Inpatient Health Centers. Method: This study has a cross sectional quantitative research design. In this study using 2 variables (exogenous), namely Midwife Work Performance and Midwife Performance or Productivity. In this study the endogenous variables are the quality of midwife services in the Surabaya Inpatient Health Center. The population used in this study were all implementing midwives, who provided services in 10 inpatient health centers in Surabaya. Results and Analysis: Pearson correlation test results indicate there is a significant relationship between workload and performance (p = 0.000) and there is a significant relationship between workload and service quality (p = 0.000). Discussion and Conclusion: in order to avoid work fatigue, it is necessary to rearrange work shifts in accordance with the rules and conditions of work shift provisions in maternity inpatient units, the determination of clear rest hours, when service hours can be accompanied by work music, and additional labor reduce workload, as well as the division of workload according to ability, and routinely carry out refreshing to reduce saturation. Abstract

Background: Fresh cow’s milk is an almost complete source of nutrition. The condition with a less clean environment can ease the occurrence of milk’s contamination. The contamination can come from a variety of sources such as cow’s skin, the udder water, soil, dust, human handling, equipment, and air. The most common contamination in cow’s milk is from bacteria. One of the bacteria is Escherichia coli. The objectives of the research are to determine the relation of the personal hygiene of the cow milkers and sanitation with Escherichia coli bacterial contamination in fresh cow’s milk. Methods: This research was a quantitative research with the cross-sectional approach with total sampling technique used which means the sample was all of the cow milkers in the village. The research used questionnaires, laboratory tests, and analysis of data used univariate and bivariate test with Fisher's exact statistical test. The laboratory tests used MPN Escherichia coli. Results: According to this research showed about 55% of respondent did not have good personal hygiene. The sanitation variable showed the majority of cow milkers did have no good sanitation about 62.5%. From 40 samples of fresh cows milk, 32 samples of milk were contaminated by the Escherichia coli. The relation between the personal hygiene of cow milkers with the contamination of Escherichia coli showed the (p-value 0.014) and for the relations between sanitation with the contamination of Escherichia coli in fresh cows milk bout (p-value 0.036). Conclusion: There was a relation between the personal hygiene of cow milkers and sanitation with Escherichia coli bacterial contamination in fresh cows milk in the people's farm of Gondang Umbulharjo, Cangkringan, Sleman.
