Indonesian Journal of Islamic Economics and Business E-ISSN: 2540-9506 P-ISSN: 2540-9514 is the journal that concerns to publish broader issues on Islamic Economics and Business. It based on the presupposition that Islamic economics and Business is still on going process to be established. There is a need to serious study on not only limited to Islamic banking and financing system but also on philosophy, politic, environment, law, culture, ethics, management and entrepreneurship of ‘Islamic Economics’. The journal aimed at bridging and solving the dichotomy between ‘orthodox’ and ‘heterodox’ problems of Islamic economics. So, the journal invites scholars who interesting in Islamic economics and Business contributes to submit their research article.

Abstract

This study aims to bring together the theory of Islamic business ethics and its practice in the field. This study took a sample gallery Muslim hidayatullah in the city of Jambi. Descriptive methods and content analysis were used to answer previous research questions. the result is that Islamic business ethics in the company has not been fully implemented, there are some that have not been applied, namely the essential principle in business is honesty, hospitality, there are still employees serving buyers not in accordance with Islamic business ethics. copy that other principles of business ethics have been applied properly

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of Bank Indonesia technical assistance on the development of MSMEs in Jambi Province in 2013-2015. This thesis uses a descriptive quantitative approach with data collection methods through observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation. The results show that Bank Indonesia technical assistance for the development of MSMEs in Jambi Province has a significant effect of 0.637. If technical assistance increases by 1%, MSME development will increase by 0.637. The partial test results on the regression model obtained results of 0.000 <0.05 (significant level of research results). In the variable t count> from t table, namely 5,430> 2,021, it can be concluded that accept Ha and reject Ho means that partially the variable technical assistance affects the development of MSMEs. The R square obtained is 0.391 which means that 39.1% of the diversity of Bank Indonesia technical assistance affect the diversity of levels of MSME development in Jambi Province. While the remaining 60.9% is influenced by other variations not mentioned in the variables. The obstacles in providing technical assistance include the easy come and easy go pattern of MSMEs, MSMEs that have not dared to expand their businesses, not many business actors have not mastered technology. Meanwhile, the results achieved by Bank Indonesia are: the existence of trust from the banking sector and the increase in business partners from MSMEs, an increase in business volume, the formation of LKMAs that are able to make MSMEs independent in their business development, increasing knowledge of the importance of business records, increasing product quality, human resources UMKM players, and the existence of market development and expansion.

Abstract

The background of this study is that there are many people who produce Kayu Api shrimp crackers, so there are also many brands that have born in Mendahara Ilir Village, but from all brands, there is only one that is most highlighted and favored by customers namely Kayu Api Cempaka 2. This type of research is qualitative research by conducting interviews, observation, and documentation. It's used purposive sampling which the housewives who produce Kayu Api shrimp crackers are the samples. The objects of the research are house production of Kayu Api Cempaka 2 shrimp crackers and the place where the product is deposited in Mendahara Ilir Village and the implementation of production and Marketing of Kayu Api Cempaka shrimp crackers 2. The results show that, in production, they always maintain the taste quality of the shrimp so that they can maintain sustainable customers. From the marketing side, they use word-of-mouth promotion until they promote through social media such as Whatsapp and Facebook so that the product can be marketed outside of the village. For the supporting factors of the Kayu Api Cempaka 2 shrimp cracker business, there is assistance from the family as well as the presence of shops that are willing to entrust the Kayu Api Cempaka 2 shrimp crackers. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factor in the Kayu Api Cempaka 2 shrimp cracker business is capital and raw material such as fresh shrimp which really depends on the sailor.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of profitability ratios on company zakat expenditure in Islamic banking in Indonesia. This study uses a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression data analysis techniques and classical assumption tests. The sample of this study consisted of 9 Islamic commercial banks using secondary data on the financial statements of each bank from 2012- 2016. The results showed that simultaneously, return on assets and return on equity have a significant effect on zakat expenditure in Islamic Commercial Banks in Indonesia. However, partially, return on assets has a negative and significant effect on zakat expenditure at Islamic Commercial Banks in Indonesia, while Return on equity has a positive and significant effect on zakat expenditure at Islamic Commercial Banks in Indonesia.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine how much influence Celebrity Endorser and Brand Image have on purchasing decisions for rabbani products at Rabbani Outlet in Jambi City. This type of research is quantitative research. Data collection is done by means of a questionnaire (questionnaire) documentation and interviews. The sample taken in this study amounted to 100 people. The data analysis technique used is the validity test, reliability test, multiple linear regression, T test, F test and analysis of the coefficient of determination with the least squares equation and hypothesis testing using the F test, T test. The study was conducted with multiple linear regression equations for the influence of Celebrity Endorser. and Brand Image on the decision to buy rabbani products at Rabbani Outlet in Jambi City is Y = 0.221 X1 + 0.407X2 + e. Celebrity Endorse has a significant effect on consumer purchasing decisions because the value of tcount> ttable or 2.205> 1.984 and the resulting significant value is 0.030 more than 0.05. Brand Image has a significant effect on consumer purchasing decisions because the value of tcount> ttable or 4.055> 1.984 and the resulting significant value 0.000 is less than 0.05. The value of the coefficient of determination is 0.313 or equal to 31.3%. This means that the ability of the dependent variable (consumer purchasing decisions) can be explained by 31.3% by the independent variable (Celebrity Endorser and Brand Image) and the remaining 68.7% is influenced by other factors.

Abstract

This paper aims to discuss the analysis of the economic value of the basic food arisan system for wedding costs in Seko Besar Village, Pauh District, Sarolangun Jambi Regency. The data techniques in this study used observation, interview and documentation techniques, while for data analysis the researchers used descriptive qualitative analysis. The results of the research are as follows: the implementation of basic food arisan for wedding expenses is done to reduce the economic needs of the community and is carried out according to the needs of the members who will hold a wedding party. The basic food arisan is carried out in consultation with the members and carried out in a family manner, in order to meet the needs of the wedding costs. The impact of basic food arisan can ease the burden on the economic needs of arisan members and strengthen family relationships because of the elements of mutual help and friendship. Analysis of the economic value of the basic food arisan system for wedding expenses that has absolutely no elements of usury, gambling, fraud, extortion, or chance and has met the criteria that allow arisan in Islamic economics

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the strategies carried out by street vendors (PKL) in increasing income for family welfare, and what are the obstacles faced by them. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. In this study, data analysis techniques such as data reduction, data collection, data presentation, and conclusion drawing are used. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the strategies carried out by street vendors are maintaining product quality, setting appropriate product prices, conducting promotions, selecting strategic locations, and providing the best service to buyers and the obstacles faced by street vendors are business location and capital access

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the analysis of revolving fund financing at Bank Syariah Mandiri Jambi Branch. This study uses a qualitative approach with data collection methods through observation, interviews, and documentation. Based on the research conducted, the following results and conclusions were obtained: (1) The analysis of revolving fund financing at Bank Syariah Mandiri Jambi Branch in 2015-2017 was carried out in accordance with the Islamic banking Law Number 21 of 2008 in carrying out any operational activities and transactions must be in accordance with Sharia principles, including filing, investigation, and analysis stages consisting of basic information, capability, capital, guarantees, and business conditions (2) Efforts made by Bank Mandiri Syariah Jambi Branch to mitigate revolving fund financing are selective in sorting customers, utilization of facility funds and monitoring through financial reports.

Abstract

The change of economic structure has opened many opportunities and challenges for local governments, including East Java. In response to this situation, it is necessary to combine local investment with diversification in major economic sectors to improve regional economic resilience. The purpose of this paper is to map potencial supply-demand investment in East Java and to identify suitable investment instrument on account of local benefit. Quantitative method with index analysis and bayes is used to map potencial investment supply, whereas ratio model is used to describe the potency of local investment demand. There are five potencial areas ie Kab. Pacitan, Kota Batu, Kota Mojokerto, Kab. Mojokerto and Kab. Madiun whereas potencial local fund percentage is 37% of total investment. By making UMR as basis price, the public may contribute an active role in the development of investment in particular areas.

Abstract

This study aims to examine job insecurity, self-efficacy and emotional exhaustion on the performance of contract employees in Bandar Lampung. The method used is using a questionnaire. The sample is 50 respondents. The statistical test was carried out using Statistic Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Square (PLS) version 3. The validity test used the loading factor value, while the reliability test used the cronbach'c alpha value, composite reliability and Average Variance Extracted (AVE) produced indicators. valid and reliable. Hypothesis testing produces job insecurity and emotional exhaustion which has a positive and insignificant effect, while self-efficacy has a positive and significant effect in improving the performance of contract employees in Bandar Lampung.
