Abstract

One of several factors of low quality in the teaching of material to explain the components of cooling system in the subject of the Maintenance of Light Vehicle in the XI Grade TKR SMKN 1 Palangka Raya academic year 2014/2015 is because the teacher delivers the material verbally without any variation. To overcome such problem, the application of learning model Take and Give is proposed. This research aims to understand the influence of learning model Take and Give on the study result of the students. Data were taken from two classroom. Classroom A (16 students) as the experiment group where the learning model will be applied, and Classroom B (16 students) as the control group where the verbal learning will be applied. Data collected from the post test result on the both group is tcalculated= 5,35 > ttable= 2,042 on the significancy level 5% dan df = (16+16-2) = 30.It can be seen that tcalculated ttable, thus Ho was rejected and HI was accepted so it can be concluded that there is an influence of learning model Take And Give on the student’s study result.

Abstract

Based on the researcher’s observation at Teacher Training Program and the interview with the teacher of Class X Technic of Stone and Concrete Construction SMKN-1 Palangka Raya, gained the data that the process of learning especially the hydraulic binding material, the teacher mostly applied direct learning method. This made the learning less effective, because the students didn’t really give some responses to the lesson, the students weren’t active in the teaching learning activity, and the students’ learning results were inadequate, less than 75. The type of research applied was experimental research, with all the population of students at the Class X Technic of Stone and Concrete Construction SMKN-1 Palangka Raya School Year 2014/2015, that was totally 24 students. This research used total sample technique, so all the students at the Class X Technic of Stone and Concrete Construction which was totally 24 persons divided into two groups, that was experiment class and control class. Therefore, the total students at the experiment class was 12 persons and at the control class was 12 persons. The research instrument was a test of learning result with 30 multiple choice questions which were firstly tested at a Class X TGB SMKN 1 Palangka Raya. Based on the analysis of validity test obtained 23 questions which were valid and the reliability coefficient was r11 = 0,88, so it could be concluded that the instrument had a very high reliability. According to a pretest data analysis, the mean of the experiment group was 69,50 and the mean of the control group was 66,17. The normality test result of the experiment group was X2 hitung = 2,8515 < X2tabel = 5,99 and the control group was X2hitung = 5,0707 < X2tabel = 5,99, so the pretest data of the experiment group and the control group normally distributed. The test result of homogeneity pretest data was F hitung = 1,74 < Ftabel = 4,46, so it was a homogeneous pretest data. Therefore, there was no difference between the initial ability of students at the experiment class than the control group. Based on the analysis of posttest data, the mean of the experiment group was 91,25 and the mean of the control group was 68,67. The normality test result of the experiment group was X2hitung = 1,5168 < X2tabel = 5,99, and the control group X2hitung = 2,3239 < X2tabel = 5,99, so posttest data of the experiment group and the control group normally distributed. The test result of the homogeneity posttest data was Fhitung = 1,09 <Ftabel = 4,46, so the posttest data was homogeneous. The analysis result with the test t was thitung = 9,1972 and ttabel = 2,074 because thitung > ttabel so H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted. Consequently, the learning result of the experiment group were better than the control group. Therefore, it might be concluded that there was a difference between the learning result of the students who applied the cooperative learning model type think pair share than the others who applied the direct learning model on the hydraulic binding material at Class X Technic of Stone and Concrete Construction SMKN-1 Palangka Raya School Year 2014/2015.

Abstract

The research was conducted in Grade XI Engineering Mapping Survey SMK Negeri 1 Palangkaraya which consists of one class which amounts to 28, then the class is divided into two classes, namely class experimental and control class, for the experimental class there are 15 students who are further subdivided into three teams, namely team A , B and C in each team there are 5 students and a control class numbered 13 students. The result of this research can be seen in the results of the hypothesis test where tcalc = 3.41 > 2.04 (ttable). For experimental class the highest score is 92 and the lowest is 68 with an average score of 80, while the highest score in control class is 85 and the lowest score is 46 with an average score of 65.5. It can be deduced that learning using learning model Type Quiz Team can improve student learning outcomes in subject: a horizontal position measurement of material in the XI Engineering Surveying Mapping Palangkaraya SMK Negeri 1 academic year 2014/2015 . To the teachers or instructors to choose teaching model Type Quiz Team, especially in subject a horizontal position measurement materials for learning, model Quiz mode is pretty good way in improving student learning outcomes.

Abstract

T Based on the observation done by the researcher during PPL II Semester VII Academic Year 2014/2015 in the tenth grade of TKBB at the SMK Negeri 1 Palangka Raya, it was showed that there were some students were lacked of attentions. This is due to the learning media used was used too often repeatedly which made the students felt bored and lacked of attention on the learning activity. From the above problem, it was needed to find a new learning media to rise the interest, excitement and interesting. By using the Adobe Flash media, it was hoped the study interest of the student will emerge. This research used quantitative method approach with correlation type with variable x (adobe flash media) as the influencing variable and variable y (study interest) as the influenced variable. The sample in this research was a total sample since all of the population (24 students) was involved. Data collecting instrument used a questionnaire which referred to likert scale. After the instruments tested, and stated valid to be used in collecting data, then the data will be tested again to fulfill the analysis conditions. If the data deemed eligible, the variable x and y will be analyzed by using correlation analysis namely Product Moment Pearson. It was proved that the rhitung> rtablewith significance level of 95% (Calculate 0,741 > r table 0.423) which means Ha “there was a relationship between the use of adobe flash media with study interest of Building Construction at the SMK Negeri 1 Palangka Raya” was accepted with “strong” correlation level. This research also produced the increase in study interest as of 25%with average increase of study interest of 4,09on the subject Building Construction after the using of adobe flash media, this is based on the study interest of Building Construction before the using of adobe flashmedia with average marks 46,04 orthere was 46 % of the interested students above the average mark, increased to 50,13 or 71 %of the interested student above the average mark.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out the relationship of concept comprehention of measurement devices with the measuring ability using mechanic measuring devices in the tenth grade of SMKN 1 Sanaman Mantikei 2015/2016. The research type is a non experiment type with correlational approach. The population is all students of tenth grade of SMKN 1 Sanaman Mantikei with random sampling which is tenth grader Automotive B whose number is 31 students. The instruments of concept mastery of mechanic measurement devices (variable x) is using written test. Before using it, the test instrument should be tested for its difficulty level, differentiation level, validity and reliability level and instrument of the ability to measure using measuring devices (variable y) which is performance test. The research results show the relationship between the concept mastery of using measuring devices (x) with the measuring ability using the mechanic measuring devices (y) in the form of regression formula with correlation coefficient 0,619 which means there is a positive relationship and significant between the concept mastery of using measuring devices (x) with the measuring ability using the mechanic measuring devices (y). The percentage or contribution of the concept mastery of measuring devices (x) is 38,27% on the ability to measure using the mechanic measuring devices (y).

Abstract

Many research which has been done with a fiber in normal concrete fusion to increase the concrete press strengthespecially on the weakness of concrete quality on tensile strength. In Indonesia, steel and iron fiber utilitization (bendrat wire) on concrete fusion not yet to be known. Besides, making fiber suffered high cost especially making steel fiber that is very difficult because they have to be imported. To solve this problem, in this research iron fiber lathe engine waste that easy to find and more economic is used to change the steel and iron fiber utilization. It uses iron fiber lathe engine waste with a lenght of ± 6 cm and diameters of ± 8 mm, with the edges bent and with the presentate of 0%, 2%, 4%, 6%, and 8% to cement weight. For concrete without any improvement of iron fiber classified as the concrete with 0% iron fiber with the pressure trenght on f'c 25 MPa. The test speciment used in this reseach has cylinder shape and has 15 cm diameters and 30 centimeters on high. Test was arranged when it has been 14th and 28th days of curing to know the effect of iron fiber in compressive strength and tensile strength and increment percentage of iron fiber on lathe engine waste that is the most optimum. The result of research shows that the increasing of iron fiber on lathe engine waste on concrete fusion gives the effect of compressive strength and tensile strength, increase compressive strength of concrete on 46,64% on 14th day and 45,45% on 28th and increasing the compressive strength of concrete on 15,07% on 14th day and 23,07 % on 28th, compared with concrete without fiber has 8% on 14th and 28th. On 14th has 12,54 MPa compressive strength and 13,63 MPa on 28th whereas on 14th has 1,45 MPa tensile strength and 1,6 MPa on 28th. Althought the result of the test of compressive strength and pulling slit concrete showed an improvement but it has not yet to reach the target valve 25 MPa, because of several factor whether it is on physical factor, building process, maintenance,and the test and its equipment for research that has not to be perfect yet.

Abstract

Learning outcomes Based on the observations of the current researchers Practice Experience (PPL) and interviews with subject teachers Building Construction SMK 1 Palangkaraya, obtained information that the majority of students are less eager to absorb the lessons Building on the material type and classification steel. This is due to the tendency of teachers presenting the material directly, so that learners are not actively involved in learning. This can be seen from the value of student learning outcomes in subjects Building Materials class X Architecture Engineering SMK 1 Palangkaraya Academic Year 2014/2015 on the material type and classification of steel which is still relatively low. From some of these problems, so in this study used a model of learning discovery learning in hopes of making learning material types and classification of steel more meaningful and fun. So as to make students actively involved during the learning process and the classification of the type of steel in the classroom so that student learning outcomes increases. This study used a quasi-experimental research designs Nonequivalent type Control Group Design. The population in this study were all students of class X engineering drawings SMK- 1 Palangkaraya totaling 28 students. Sampling was carried out using saturated sampling technique in which all members of the population being sampled. Design approach used is a quantitative approach. This study was conducted in December to February 2015. The data is taken from the data of student learning outcomes obtained through the covers pretest and posttest. Based on the results of research conducted in class X drawing technique building with 28 students, there is a difference between the experimental class and the control class. It can be seen from the average value of students being taught by learning discovery learning model is better than being taught by conventional learning, where the average value of the experimental class at 90.19, while the average value of 74 control class.

Abstract

The teaching learning process done by teacher plays important role of its success, but some of them still see it as just a knowledge transfer from teacher to student. Sometimes learning strategy used was just to give information and teacher-centered without involving the students to be active in the process. So, the teacher found his/her student sleeping or playing around during the class resulting their low study result in the subject Basic Job of Automotive. This research purpose is to know the difference of the teaching model Quantum Teaching and direct teaching on the study result of subject Basic Jobs of Automotive of Tenth Grade student of TKR SMK karsa Mulya 2014/2015. Based on the research results, it is known that there is a different study result when students taught with Quantum Teaching model in the posttest of experiment group where the average is 77,21 while the kontrol group had 68,25. From the normality test the data was found normally distributed for both group. For the t test, the tcalc > ttable (3,11 > 1,7). Hence, Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. It is concluded that there is a difference in the study result students taught by Quantum Teaching model and by direct teaching on the material The Use of mechanic measurement devices in the Tenth Grade Student of TKR SMK Karsa Mulya Palangka Raya

Abstract

Interactive multimedia in the learning process is a learning system that present the subject material as animations, pictures, recorded videos with computer control to the student who is not only listen, watch videos and voices, but also to give active responses that determine the speed and sequence of the presentation. The purposes of this research are: (1) to develop media on the subject material fuel engines in the tenth grade of TSM smk Karsa Mulya Palangka Raya 2014/2015; (2) to describe student study results after the learning using interactive multimedia developed for fuel engines; (3) to describe students response on the learning by using interactive multimedia for subject material fuel engines. This research is a procedural development research in which a development that shows steps to be followed to produce a certain product. In this research a learning tool which is an interactive multimedia is developed for the subject material fuel engines. Instruments to be used are material expert validation sheets, media expert validation sheets, classroom observation sheets, final tests, and students response. Validation sheets are obtained to determine whether the media is good enough to be used as learning media. Based on the research results, it can be concluded: (1) interactive multimedia produced is good and can be used as learning media; (2) from 16 students who join the learning, 14 students passed while 2 students did not pass, based on the KKM that should be ? 75; (3) students response on the learning using interactive multimedia got the score 738 with average 4,61 which means very good. It is then concluded that the interactive multimedia developed in this research can be used as a learning media.

Abstract

The use Based on obsevation by doing interview with productive teacher show that learning approach which was implemented still use conventional method, that was discourse which commonly used although when completing the task discussion model was implemented among classmate only. It was because the teacher could not yet adjust himself with 2013 curriculum which just implemented of Xth grade student’s SMK Negeri 1 Palangka Raya. It couse learning process became monotonous and sends to be centered on the teacher only. So, by these problems, in this research cooperative learning of snowball throwing type was implemented to increase student’s learning result. The research using experiment quasi method by nonequivalent control group design research. The researchpopulation was whole the student of Teknik Gambar Bangunan grade X of SMK Negeri 1 Palangka Raya ini academic year 2014/2015 which amount 28 students consist of 16 students as experiment class and 12 students as control class was determined by the teacher of building contruction. The design approach that used ini this research kuantitative approach. This researc had done on November 2014. The data is taken from the data of student’s learning result. The result of the study showed that experiment group and control group work well (2,68 < 5,99) and the homogenoun (1,333 < 2,72). The average post test result of exsperiment group was 83,125 and control group was 68. The data technique analyze that used in this research was Uji-t, and based on the Uji-t calculation of the post test data showed that thitung 5,404 and ttabel 2,05 at 5% siqnifikansi level which mean thitung > ttabel (5,404 > 2,05). So H0 was refused and Ha was accepted. So, it can be concluded that the average student’s learning result on the parts of building construction material which taught by cooperative learning model of snowball throwing type was higher than the Student’s learning result which taught by discourse method. Therefore cooperative learnig model of snowball throwing type influenced the Student’s learning result on the part of building contruction material.
