Abstract

ABSTRACT Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) have the potential to significantly improve healthcare efficiency, quality, and accessibility. However, their implementation faces substantial barriers that hinder widespread adoption. This systematic review aims to identify and analyze key barriers to EMR implementation in healthcare facilities. A systematic literature search was conducted in Scopus, PubMed, CINAHL, and Web of Science for studies published between 2014 and 2024. The study selection process according to PRISMA guidelines. A total of 462 studies were screened, 59 full-text articles were assessed for eligibility, and 14 studies met the inclusion criteria for final analysis. Five major barriers to EMR implementation were identified: (1) usability and system design challenges, (2) training and workforce preparedness, (3) technological and infrastructure constraints, (4) financial and resource limitations, and (5) impact on workflow and patient care. These challenges reflect core strategic management principles, underscoring the need for structured planning, adequate resource allocation, and continuous evaluation. Overcoming barriers to EMR implementation requires improving system usability, enhancing workforce training, investing in infrastructure development, securing sustainable financial resources, and optimizing clinical workflows. A strategic, comprehensive approach is essential to facilitate successful EMR adoption, improve patient care outcomes, and support sustainable healthcare system advancement. Keywords: Barriers, Electronic Medical Records (EMR), Healthcare Facilities, Systematic Review, Implementation Challenges.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Household management of leftover and expired medications is a critical issue impacting public health and environmental sustainability. Improperly managed leftover and expired medications have the potential to pollute the environment and endanger health. Lack of knowledge and information is a major cause of inappropriate medication disposal. This study aims to analyze factors influencing community behavior in managing leftover and expired medications in Sekarbela District, Mataram City. This study used a quantitative design with a cross-sectional approach. A sample of 100 respondents was selected using consecutive sampling. Data were collected using a questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability, then analyzed using path analysis with SPSS. The results showed that information media had a significant influence (0.002) on community behavior, health promotion programs had a significant influence (0.032) on community behavior, and public knowledge had a significant influence (0.000) on community behavior. Thus, information media and health promotion programs have a direct and indirect influence through knowledge, significantly affecting community behavior. Public behavior in managing leftover and expired medications is influenced by information media, health promotion programs, and knowledge. Keywords: Leftover Medications, Expired Medications, Knowledge, Behavior.  ABSTRAK Pengelolaan obat sisa dan obat kedaluwarsa di rumah tangga menjadi isu penting yang berdampak terhadap kesehatan masyarakat dan kelestarian lingkungan. Obat sisa dan kedaluwarsa yang tidak dikelola dengan benar di rumah tangga berpotensi mencemari lingkungan dan membahayakan kesehatan. Kurangnya pengetahuan dan informasi menjadi salah satu penyebab utama perilaku pembuangan obat yang tidak sesuai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi perilaku masyarakat dalam mengelola obat sisa dan obat kedaluwarsa di Kecamatan Sekarbela Kota Mataram. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 100 responden yang dipilih secara consecutive sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner yang sudah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya, lalu hasil pengisian kuesioner dianalisis menggunakan analisis jalur dengan bantuan SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media informasi berpengaruh secara signifikan (0,002) terhadap perilaku masyarakat, program promkes berpengaruh secara signifikan (0,032) terhadap perilaku masyarakat dan pengetahuan masyarakat berpengaruh secara signifikan (0,000) terhadap perilaku masyarakat. Dengan demikian, media informasi dan program promkes memiliki pengaruh langsung dan pengaruh tidak langsung melalui pengetahuan secara signifikan terhadap perilaku masyarakat. Perilaku masyarakat dalam mengelola obat sisa dan obat kedaluwarsa dipengaruhi oleh media informasi, program promosi kesehatan, dan pengetahuan.  Kata Kunci: Obat Sisa, Obat Kedaluwarsa, Pengetahuan, Perilaku.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Leprosy is a chronic infectious disease that remains a significant public health concern, particularly in endemic regions. Transmission frequently occurs among household contacts of leprosy patients, especially in the presence of risk factors such as household crowding and compromised immunity. Early detection among household contacts is crucial to prevent ongoing transmission, with anti-PGL-1 IgM antibody serological testing serving as an important diagnostic adjunct. Case Report: We report a case of a 9-year-old boy presenting with non-pruritic hypopigmented patches on both cheeks for six months. The patient had a history of close household contact with his grandmother, who was undergoing multidrug therapy for multibacillary leprosy. Dermatological examination revealed hypopigmented macules with sensory loss, without thickening of peripheral nerves. Slit skin smear and KOH tests were negative. Serological testing showed elevated anti-PGL-1 IgM antibody levels (1593 u/ml; cutoff: 605 u/ml), supporting the diagnosis of paucibacillary leprosy. The patient was started on pediatric MDT-PB and the family was provided with education regarding the disease and its transmission. Neuropathy assessment using the Semmes-Weinstein Monofilament test and the Toronto Clinical Scoring System was within normal limits. Conclusion: Serological testing for anti-PGL-1 IgM antibodies is a valuable adjunct for diagnosing leprosy, particularly in new cases with ambiguous clinical features and among household contacts, enabling early diagnosis and timely management. Keywords: Leprosy, Household Contact, Anti-PGL-1 Igm Antibody, Paucibacillary Leprosy, Early Diagnosis, Child.  ABSTRAK Kusta merupakan penyakit infeksi kronis yang masih menjadi masalah kesehatan masyarakat, terutama di daerah endemis. Penularan sering terjadi pada narakontak serumah dengan pasien kusta, terutama bila terdapat faktor risiko seperti kepadatan hunian dan status imunitas yang rendah. Deteksi dini pada narakontak serumah sangat penting untuk mencegah penularan berlanjut, salah satunya melalui pemeriksaan serologis antibodi IgM anti PGL-1. Laporan Kasus: Dilaporkan seorang anak laki-laki usia 9 tahun dengan keluhan bercak putih pada kedua pipi tanpa rasa gatal selama enam bulan. Pasien merupakan narakontak serumah dari nenek yang sedang menjalani pengobatan kusta tipe multibasiler. Pemeriksaan dermatologis menunjukkan makula hipopigmentasi dengan anestesi, tanpa penebalan saraf tepi. Pemeriksaan slit skin smear dan KOH negatif. Pemeriksaan serologis didapatkan kadar antibodi IgM anti PGL-1 yang tinggi (1593 u/ml; cutoff: 605 u/ml), mendukung diagnosis kusta tipe pausibasiler. Pasien mendapat terapi MDT-PB dosis anak dan edukasi kepada keluarga. Hasil pemeriksaan neuropati dengan tes Semmes-Weinstein Monofilament dan Toronto Clinical Scoring System berada dalam batas normal. Kesimpulan: Pemeriksaan serologis antibodi IgM anti PGL-1 sangat bermanfaat sebagai penunjang diagnosis pada kasus kusta dengan manifestasi klinis tidak khas, terutama pada narakontak serumah, sehingga memungkinkan diagnosis dini dan tata laksana yang tepat waktu.  Kata Kunci: Kusta, Narakontak Serumah, Antibodi Igm Anti-PGL-1, Kusta Pausibasiler, Diagnosis Dini, Anak.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Papua Mountains has the lowest achievement of complete basic immunization in Indonesia, only 8.9%. This reflects major challenges, such as limited infrastructure and accessibility. Immunization non-compliance increases the risk of the spread of preventable diseases, worsens the health burden, and threatens public health goals and overall well-being. To determine the influence of the role of health workers and maternal motivation on the achievement of complete basic immunization targets at Elelim Health Center, Elelim District, Yalimo Regency. Yalimo, Papua Mountains Province in 2025. This research design uses a quantitative analytical survey method with a cross-sectional approach. The number of samples is 83 people with a purposive sampling technique. Statistical data testing using the Chi-Square test. The results of the Chi-Square Test in the category of the role of health workers and maternal motivation obtained a p-Value of 0.000 (0.05), which indicates that there is a significant influence between the role of health workers and maternal motivation on achieving the target of complete basic immunization. There is an influence of the role of health workers and maternal motivation on achieving the target of complete basic immunization at the Elelim Health Center, Elelim District, Yalimo Regency, Papua Mountains Province. For health workers and cadres, it is hoped that health workers and cadres can be more active in providing education and support to mothers, as well as building motivation to achieve the target of complete basic immunization. Keywords: Achievement of Complete Basic Immunization Target, Mother's Motivation, Role of Health Workers.  ABSTRAK Papua Pegunungan memiliki pencapaian imunisasi dasar lengkap terendah di Indonesia, hanya 8,9%. Hal ini mencerminkan tantangan besar, seperti keterbatasan infrastruktur dan aksesibilitas. Ketidakpatuhan imunisasi meningkatkan risiko penyebaran penyakit yang dapat dicegah, memperburuk beban kesehatan, dan mengancam tujuan kesehatan masyarakat serta kesejahteraan secara keseluruhan. Mengetahui pengaruh peran petugas kesehatan dan motivasi ibu dengan capaian target imunisasi dasar lengkap di Puskesmas Elelim, Distrik Elelim, Kab. Yalimo Provinsi Papua Pegunungan tahun 2025. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif  survei analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Jumlah sample sebanyak 83 orang dengan teknik pengambilan sampel purposive sampling. Uji statistik data menggunakan uji Chi-Square. Hasil Uji Chi-Square pada kategori peran petugas kesehatan dan motivasi ibu diperoleh nilai p-Value 0.000 ( 0.05), yang mengindikasikan bahwa adanya pengaruh yang signifikan antara peran petugas kesehatan dan motivasi ibu terhadap pencapaian target imunisasi dasar lengkap. Terdapat pengaruh peran petugas kesehatan dan motivasi ibu dengan capaian target imunisasi dasar lengkap di Puskesmas Elelim, Distrik Elelim, Kab. Yalimo Provinsi Papua Pegunungan. Untuk petugas kesehatan dan kader, diharapkan petugas kesehatan dan kader dapat lebih aktif dalam memberikan edukasi dan dukungan kepada ibu-ibu, serta membangun motivasi untuk mencapai target imunisasi dasar lengkap. Kata Kunci: Capaian Target Imunisasi Dasar Lengkap, Motivasi Ibu, Peran Petugas Kesehatan.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Stunting is a global health issue impacting children's physical growth and cognitive development. In Indonesia, stunting rates remain high, particularly in West Nusa Tenggara Province. Infant massage is recognized as a physical stimulation technique potentially contributing to enhanced infant growth. This study aimed to analyze the effects of infant massage on infant growth, specifically weight gain, and its potential for reducing stunting risk at Awet Muda Hospital, Narmada, West Lombok. This quasi-experimental study utilized a one-group pretest-posttest design involving 305 infants born at Awet Muda Hospital from December 2024 to March 2025. Respondents meeting inclusion criteria (healthy and willing to receive massage) underwent infant massage based on a guided massage application module. Infant weight was measured pre- and post-intervention. Data analysis involved descriptive statistics and Chi-Square tests. Infant massage significantly improved infant weight (p-value = 0.000). Pregnancy complications significantly impacted infant health (p-value = 0.000), whereas maternal age (p-value = 0.440), maternal education (p-value = 0.086), and number of pregnancies (p-value = 0.599) showed no significant effects. Infant massage effectively enhances infant growth, particularly weight gain, potentially reducing stunting. Infant massage could serve as an effective preventive intervention supporting infant health, especially in regions with high stunting prevalence. Keywords: Infant, Growth, Massage, Stunting.  ABSTRAK Stunting merupakan masalah kesehatan global yang berdampak pada pertumbuhan fisik dan perkembangan kognitif pada anak. Di Indonesia, pada tahun 2023 angka stunting masih tinggi dengan prevalensi 21,5%, sedangkan di Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat (NTB) kejadian stunting tercatat lebih tinggi di angka 24.5%. Pijat bayi dikenal sebagai salah satu teknik stimulasi fisik yang dapat berkontribusi pada peningkatan pertumbuhan bayi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh pijat bayi terhadap peningkatan pertumbuhan bayi, khususnya dalam meningkatkan berat badan, dan menghubungkannya dengan potensi penurunan risiko stunting di RS Awet Muda Narmada, Lombok Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain kuasi eksperimen dengan pendekatan one group pretest-posttest design, melibatkan 305 bayi yang lahir di Rumah Sakit Awet Muda Narmada pada bulan Desember 2024 hingga Maret 2025. Responden yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi (bayi sehat dan bersedia dipijat) mendapatkan intervensi pijat bayi selama masa perawatan di Rumah Sakit berlangsung sesuai modul panduan pijat bayi. Berat badan bayi diukur sebelum dan sesudah intervensi. Analisis data menggunakan uji statistik deskriptif dan Chi-Square. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pijat bayi memberikan pengaruh positif terhadap peningkatan berat badan bayi dengan p-value sebesar 0,000, menunjukkan perubahan yang signifikan. Komplikasi kehamilan ditemukan memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kesehatan bayi dengan p-value sebesar 0,000, sementara usia ibu (p-value = 0,440), pendidikan ibu (p-value = 0,086), dan jumlah kehamilan (p-value = 0,599) tidak menunjukkan pengaruh yang signifikan. Pijat bayi terbukti meningkatkan pertumbuhan bayi, khususnya dalam meningkatkan berat badan, yang dapat berkontribusi pada pencegahan stunting. Pijat bayi dapat menjadi salah satu intervensi preventif yang efektif dalam mendukung kesehatan bayi, terutama di daerah dengan prevalensi stunting yang tinggi. Kata Kunci: Bayi, Pertumbuhan, Pijat, Stunting.

Abstract

ABSTRACT In Indonesia, the Patient Service Manager (MPP) was introduced in hospitals 10 years ago through accreditation standards. Starting with the Hospital Accreditation Standard in the Access to Services and Continuity of Services chapter, then continued in the National Hospital Accreditation Standard (SNARS) in the Hospital Access and Continuity of Services (ARK) chapter. The role of MPP is to facilitate the fulfilment of patient care needs, optimise the implementation of patient-focused services and optimise the reimbursement process. The role of MPP in Regional Hospitals still has obstacles, such as not being implemented properly before training is held, screening is not optimal due to reporting constraints, is not effective in optimising integrated patient care and is not effective in improving quality control and cost control efforts. This study aims to analyse the role of MPP in RSUD using Mintzberg's role theory, which is expected to provide information for hospital services. This study is a qualitative research conducted at one of the RSUDs in Central Java. Data collection was carried out through in-depth interviews with 20 informants, consisting of MPP, Management, Doctor in Charge of Services, Head of Room, and Nurse. The results showed that the MPP's role was quite good. However, there are still obstacles such as aspects of courage to convey sensitive issues related to patient financing, lack of innovation, unorganised reporting systems and lack of direct interaction with patients and families. In addition, the MPP's role in quality and cost control, its implementation is still limited to administrative tasks without being equipped with firm decision-making. Regular evaluation and increased coordination with management and other PPAs are important steps to optimise the role of the MPP for the ultimate result of improving service quality and patient satisfaction. Keywords: MPP, Role, Patient, Hospital.  ABSTRAK Di Indonesia, Manager Pelayanan Pasien (MPP) diperkenalkan di Rumah Sakit (RS) sejak 10 tahun lalu melalui standar akreditasi. Diawali dengan Standar Akreditasi Rumah Sakit dalam bab Standar Akses ke Pelayanan dan Kontinuitas Pelayanan (APK), kemudian dilanjutkan dalam Standar Nasional Akreditasi Rumah Sakit (SNARS) pada bab Akses Rumah Sakit dan Kontinuitas Pelayanan (ARK). Peran MPP adalah untuk memfasilitasi pemenuhan kebutuhan asuhan pasien, mengoptimalkan terlaksananya pelayanan berfokus pada pasien dan mengoptimalkan proses reimbursement. Peran MPP di Rumah Sakit Daerah (RSUD) masih terdapat kendala seperti belum terlaksana secara baik sebelum diadakan pelatihan, skrining yang dilakukan belum optimal karena kendala pelaporan, belum efektif dalam mengoptimalkan asuhan pasien yang terintegrasi dan belum efektif dalam meningkatkan upaya kendali mutu dan kendali biaya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran MPP di RSUD dengan menggunakan teori peran Mintzberg yang diharapkan dapat memberikan informasi bagi pelayanan di rumah sakit. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dilaksanakan pada salah satu RSUD di Jawa Tengah. Pengambilan data dilakukan wawancara mendalam dengan 20 informan terdiri dari MPP, Manajemen, Dokter Penanggung Jawab Pelayanan (DPJP), Kepala Ruang, dan Perawat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peran MPP sudah cukup baik. Namun masih terdapat hambatan seperti aspek keberanian menyampaikan isu sensitif terkait pembiayaan pasien, kurangnya inovasi, sistem pelaporan yang belum terorganisir dan kurangnya interaksi langsung dengan pasien dan keluarga. Selain itu, peran MPP dalam pengendalian mutu dan biaya, pelaksanaannya masih terbatas pada tugas administratif tanpa dilengkapi dengan pengambilan keputusan yang tegas. Evaluasi secara berkala dan peningkatan koordinasi dengan manajemen dan PPA yang lain menjadi langkah penting untuk optimalisasi peran MPP demi hasil akhir berupa peningkatan mutu layanan dan kepuasan pasien. Kata Kunci: MPP, Peran, Pasien, Rumah Sakit.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Outpatient clinic is a vital hospital service that demands focus on both quality and patient satisfaction. With increasing competition among hospitals in Semarang, understanding consumer behavior is crucial. Market segmentation can assist in identifying patient characteristics and their perceptions of healthcare services, which are shaped by factors such as medical communication, the comfort of facilities, and treatment outcomes. These perceptions significantly influence patients' decisions to seek care again in the future. The pediatric outpatient clinic at XYZ Hospital has experienced inconsistent and relatively low visit rates. Therefore, it is essential to analyze consumer perceptions through segmentation to formulate strategies aimed at increasing patient visits.This research adopts a descriptive qualitative study design, employing a case study approach at XYZ Private Hospital in Semarang. The participants in this study are the parents of pediatric patients. We conducted interviews using questionnaires administered to thirty respondents to gain an overview of their characteristics. We also conducted in-depth interviews with five primary informants to validate the findings. The demographic and geographic data reveal that the average age of parents is 36.03 years (SD 5.25), with 80% of respondents being female and 93.1% residing in Semarang. Additionally, 77.7% hold a bachelor's or master's degree (S1/S2), and 40.74% are employed in the private or entrepreneurial sector. In terms of psychographic and behavioral aspects, 60% of respondents discovered the pediatric clinic through friends or family, while 80% initiated their visits independently. The decision to visit was primarily influenced by the strong reputation of the doctors (60%), and 93.34% utilized personal funds or insurance for payment. Regarding costs, 90% rated outpatient fees as "moderate," with 83.33% agreeing that the costs were commensurate with the quality of service. Furthermore, 53.33% rated all staff services as positive or very positive. Furthermore, 60% found the location to be accessible, 63.33% assessed the facilities as clean, and 80% considered them comfortable.The study indicates that patients hold a positive perception of the pediatric clinic services at XYZ Hospital. They value the reputation of the doctors and the quality of facilities more than cost or location. Abstract

ABSTRACT Surgical procedures and invasive procedures in hospitals require the availability of sterile medical instruments and materials in varying quantities and types. However, the trend of increasing healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) remains a major challenge in healthcare facilities. In order to improve the efficiency and quality of service, dr. Soedono Hospital, East Java Province developed the use of a double e-barcode sticker outer indicator as a new labeling system in the sterilization process of medical devices. This study aims to evaluate the influence of the labeling system on the cost and time aspects of sterilization. The research was carried out quantitatively with a comparative design, utilizing secondary data of 200 samples obtained from the sterilization process from 2023 to 2024. The sample consisted of surgical instruments and consumable medical materials sterilized using steam and plasma methods. Data analysis was carried out using Mann-Whitney non-parametric statistical tests to test the difference between the old method and the e-barcode method. The results showed that the application of the double outer indicator of e-barcode stickers did not have a significant impact on sterilization costs (p=0.138), but it was proven to significantly accelerate the sterilization process time (p=0.000). These findings conclude that although costs have not changed much, the time efficiency gained supports improved operational performance, reduced staff workload, and improved patient safety through better tracking and documentation.Keywords: E-Barcode, External Indicator, Sterilization, Cost, Time.

ABSTRACT Smoking behavior among Indonesian students continues to rise and has become Background: In today's highly competitive healthcare landscape, patient loyalty is recognized as a critical indicator of institutional success. Loyalty extends beyond mere satisfaction, encompassing elements of trust, perceived quality, and patients' willingness to recommend healthcare services to others. This systematic review aims to evaluate the influence of brand awareness on patient loyalty within healthcare settings. A systematic literature review was conducted by searching academic databases including ProQuest, Google Scholar, and PubMed. The search utilized Boolean operators and keywords such as “brand awareness,” “patient loyalty,” “hospital,” and their equivalents in the Indonesian language. Articles published between 2020 and 2025 were considered, with inclusion criteria focusing on peer-reviewed studies available in full text and written in English or Indonesian. The Critical Appraisal Skills Programme (CASP) checklist was applied to assess the quality and relevance of each study. A total of 15 eligible articles were included in the final analysis. The findings indicate that brand awareness significantly influences patient loyalty, both directly and indirectly through mediating variables such as patient satisfaction, trust, and perceived service quality. Additionally, digital marketing strategies and social media engagement were found to be effective in enhancing brand awareness and fostering emotional bonds between patients and healthcare institutions. Brand awareness serves as a strategic foundation in managing long-term patient relationships. Healthcare providers are advised to adopt an integrated approach that combines brand development, quality improvement initiatives, digital marketing, and patient experience management to build and sustain patient loyalty. Keywords: Brand Awareness, Patient Loyalty, Healthcare Services.  ABSTRAK Dalam era persaingan layanan kesehatan yang semakin ketat, loyalitas pasien menjadi indikator penting keberhasilan institusi kesehatan. Loyalitas tidak hanya mencerminkan kepuasan terhadap layanan, tetapi juga berkaitan dengan kepercayaan, persepsi kualitas, dan kecenderungan pasien untuk merekomendasikan layanan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji secara sistematis pengaruh brand awareness terhadap loyalitas pasien. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan systematic review dengan pencarian artikel dari basis data ProQuest, Google Scholar, dan PubMed menggunakan kombinasi kata kunci “brand awareness”, “patient loyalty”, “hospital”, serta padanan dalam bahasa Indonesia. Setelah proses seleksi dan penilaian kualitas menggunakan CASP checklist, diperoleh 15 artikel yang relevan.  Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa brand awareness berperan signifikan dalam membentuk loyalitas pasien, baik secara langsung maupun melalui mediator seperti kepuasan, kepercayaan, dan kualitas layanan. Selain itu, strategi pemasaran digital dan penggunaan media sosial terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan brand awareness dan memperkuat hubungan emosional pasien terhadap institusi. Pentingnya penguatan brand awareness sebagai fondasi utama dalam strategi manajemen hubungan dengan pasien. Institusi kesehatan disarankan untuk menerapkan pendekatan holistik yang mencakup peningkatan kualitas layanan, pemanfaatan media digital, serta pengelolaan pengalaman pasien untuk mempertahankan loyalitas secara berkelanjutan. Kata Kunci: Brand Awareness, Loyalitas Pasien, Layanan Kesehatan.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Nursing has an important role in improving the health and prevention of complications of post-surgical patients. One of the nursing interventions that can be provided is Pelvic Floor Muscle Exercise (Kegel) which aims to strengthen the muscles that support the bladder and intestines, which are often affected after prostate surgery. To systematically explore the effect of strength training on reducing pain and improving physical function in postoperative prostate cancer patients. The method uses a search through 4 major databases namely PubMed, Scopus, Sciencedirect and ProQuest with a range of 5 years from 2020 to 2025. The literature search used keywords namely "strength training", "pain intensity", "physical function", "postoperative prostate cancer". The critical appraisal guidelines of the Joanna Briggs Institute were used for the appraisal review of the journal. Twelve articles were extracted regarding the effect of strength training on reducing pain and improving physical function in postoperative prostate cancer patients. Overall, the articles yielded several findings regarding differences in pain and physical functional ability with different types of strength training implemented using varying duration, frequency and intensity. Strength training has significant benefits in helping postoperative prostate cancer patients. It is effective in reducing pain, especially pelvic pain and pain related to urinary incontinence, as well as improving the physical function of patients Keywords: Pain Intensity, Physical Therapy, Prostate Cancer, Strength Training.
