Abstract

The study aims to answer how the formulation of da'wah of the two major religious organizations in Indonesia for the existing millennial generation during the Covid 19 pandemic. Primary data was collected through three choices of interview models, namely direct, virtual, or through filling out instruments, adjusting to the implementation of PPKM. It was found that NU's da'wah for the millennial generation during the Covid 19 pandemic was carried out with two da'wah models, online and offline by implementing health protocols. Muhammadiyah did the same thing even though the intensity of offline da'wah had decreased drastically. During the pandemic, Muhammadiyah emphasized da'wah with action to overcome the social impact of the Covid 19 pandemic. PBNU and PP. Muhammadiyah has not set a standard da'wah formulation for the millennial generation during the pandemic. Nevertheless, PBNU has disseminated the discourse on the formulation to regional and branch administrators in the form of general policies. At Muhammadiyah, efforts to formulate formulations were carried out through the collaboration of the IT team, the Library and Information Council, and the Muhammadiyah Covid-19 Command Center (MCCC). In the future, NU and Muhammadiyah need to conduct transdisciplinary studies and formulate the intended formulation to facilitate da'wah operations for millennials, especially during the pandemic.

One of the technologies that has become the main pillar in the development of the industrial revolution is the internet. This technology is growing rapidly, has very sophisticated features and makes it easier for humans to access or carry out an activity. Communication that used to be done face-to-face and using manual tools, has now become very easy. Communication does not have to be done face to face or using manual tools such as letters. With computers and smartphones, humans can communicate with anyone without having to meet in person. It is feared that the development of communication technology will shift ethics in communication. Besides having many good benefits, this virtual communication also has a bad impact on humans. Among them forming an individualistic person and can cause a crisis of social communication, especially in the younger generation. The research in this paper uses a qualitative descriptive research type. Descriptive research is intended to collect detailed actual information that describes existing symptoms, identify problems or examine prevailing conditions and practices, make comparisons or evaluations, determine what others have done in facing the same problem and learn from their experiences to determine future and decisions. The results of the study illustrate that how is the ethics of communication among adolescents, especially women, on social media. Both as a communicator and communicant. Communication ethics that are not good make debates that end in insulting each other. If communication is conveyed with sentences that are impolite, rude, and far from moral values, especially when conveyed on social media which are very heterogeneous in nature, it will produce something that is not useful and can even provoke and result in conflict.

Abstract

This research will discuss the process of forming Madurese cultural stereotypes and the prejudices of Javanese ethnic men or women who married Jaddung villagers before and after living in the Madura region. Stereotypes are an interesting discussion because they can become obstacles in the communication process so that they can lead to negative judgments between tribes and ethnicities. This research method is included in comparative quantitative research. This quantitative research contained lumerical data and was processed using statistical methods. With a comparative approach, namely to determine the level of approach of a variable from two different groups. This research is associated with the study of symbolic interaction theory which has 3 elements, namely Mind, self and society. The results of the study show that there is a Javanese perspective in looking at the characteristics of Madurese before carrying out marriages. Madurese are known to be hard, rough, and when faced with problems they are resolved by means of gauze (carok), but this changes when they are married. In their view, they see that the Madurese have very close characteristics and solidarity and kinship.

Abstract

This research is a qualitative researchthat aims to describe how the "A Glenon" tradition survives in the society of Daleman Village. A Glenon itself is a Madurese tradition where when passing a person or group, whether riding or not, walking with "andhep ashor" (bowing slightly forward) accompanied by the words "Glenon" which means excuse me. Now the tradition or practice can be abbreviated as A Glenon. Informants in this study used a purposive sampling technique, namely the technique of determining informants based on certain criteria or considerations. The selection of informants in this study is based on the first criterion, namely that the informant must be a local community leader who becomes a reference in terms of society. The research interview was conducted without coercion by means of the user having to state his willingness to be an informant. The researcher added ordinary residents as supporting informants in this study. The results of this study indicate that the Daleman village community still maintains the "A Glenon" tradition with several factors including the role of "Oreng Seppo" which is a reference for traditional or cultural issues. Also very influential is the role of the kiai, both pesantren kiai and kiraan kiai, who continue to give messages to keep applying the moral values of al-karimah, one of which can be realized by practicing A Glenon. However, there are also things that can cause the decadence of this tradition, namely the individualist attitude due to the swift currents of globalization and information and the growth of a new phenomenon called social media.

Abstract

The purpose of researchers in examining this film is to find out how the transformation of Islamic da'wah occurs with its various elements. This research is descriptive qualitative. Based on the results of research and data analysis obtained that in the digital era, namely since the 1980s until now, dawah elements have undergone rapid transformation both from the aspects of dai, da'wah partners, materials, strategies, and goals. All of them always utilize digital technology, especially in broadcasting Islamic values so that the scope of material can be easily accessed by levels of society. This transformation has the advantage of ease of access, but also has a very basic drawback, namely the refraction of da'wah material that can be accepted by ordinary people, because incompetent preachers deliver material that they do not master.
