Abstract

The students at the Kendari Life Skills Vocational School have various abilities in good public speaking. Some of the reasons found were that the process and period of practice for each student was different even though they received the same coaching. The coaching is done in theory and practice. These obstacles are trying to be overcome by coaching with verbal and non-verbal communication. This study aims to determine the verbal and non-verbal communication strategies of the coaches in improving the public speaking skills of the Kendari Life Skills Vocational High School students, including the supporting and inhibiting factors of the coaches in improving public speaking skills. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The research design is based on the identified research variables and the hypotheses that will be tested for truth. In this study, data were collected using purposive and snowball sampling through data collection techniques. Testing the data through triangulation and qualitative inductive data analysis. This research was conducted at the Life Skill Vocational School of the Attarbiyatussakilah Islamic boarding school involving 17 respondents, namely 7 supervisors and 100 students. The results showed that the verbal and non-verbal communication strategies were effective enough to improve the public speaking skills of the Kendari Life Skills Vocational High School students. Based on research, between verbal and non-verbal communication found that verbal communication is more effective than non-verbal communication.

Abstract

Facts and news hoaxes about Covid-19 are widely scattered in the media. This creates panic and confusion in the audience. In the midst of public confusion about the confusion of information, on the other hand the figure of a preacher or "virtual opinion leader" often provides views on topics circulating in society and social media from an Islamic point of view, through the da'wah they convey. This study aims to examine the role of virtual dai-dai in providing literacy to the public regarding Covid 19 messages on social media. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection was done by interview method. This research was conducted in Baruga District, Kendari City. The criteria for informants are in the age range of 17-30 years, social media users, and often access religious lectures from social media such as YouTube, Instagram and Facebook. Based on the results of the study, the virtual dai-dai who gave the most literacy to messages related to Covid 19 were Ustadz Das'at Latief, Ustadz Somad and Aa Gym. Ustadz Das'at Latif relatively often appears to give explanations regarding Covid 19, both in mainstream media and in virtual media, even the Ministry of Health uses him in public service advertisements for Covid 19. The style of language that is interspersed with humor, uses a typical Sulawesi speaking style to make the audience more easily understands the explanations of the preachers in reviewing the Covid 19 problem from the point of view of the Qur'an and Hadith. In the midst of a crisis of public trust regarding information circulating in the community, there is another power that can provide this understanding, namely the power of virtual dai-dai.

Abstract

The rapid development of information and communication technology has accelerated the acceleration of the globalization process. The form of communication between people has developed along with the development of technology. Communication and interaction are now mostly done using the internet. The purpose of this study was to determine the pattern of internet use in adolescents and to determine the impact of the internet on the ethics of adolescent communication in 38B Banjarrejo village, Batanghari sub-district, East Lampung district. The type of research the author does is field research (Field Research). This research is descriptive qualitative, which is usually referred to as (natural settings). Data collection techniques using interviews, observation, and documentation. The benefits of research are enriching scientific treasures regarding the impact and ways of educating teenagers on the use of the internet in their communication ethics. Based on the results of the study, it was found that: First, the internet has a positive impact on adolescents, the impact is increasing insight in learning, easier communication that is more practical, and increasing general knowledge so that it can be a topic of conversation with their families. Second, the internet also has a negative impact on adolescents. Especially in the ethics of communication. Teenagers spend more time in front of cellphone screens, scrolling social media all day, locking themselves in their rooms. Playing online games to forget their obligations such as helping their parents, reading the Koran, playing with their younger siblings. After getting to know the internet, teenagers become stubborn.

Abstract

This study answers the question of how to preach social media Islamic video content on YouTube Bayt Al-Al-Quran in the perspective of a production organization. Regarding what was prepared in the pre-production process and what was done during the production process as well as the strategies used in publishing Islamic video content. Bayt Al-Quran is a mosque and Islamic boarding school under the auspices of the Center for Al-Quran Studies. One of the da'wah activities carried out is presenting videos of Islamic studies through Youtube. Youtube, which is already familiar to the audience, is widely used for the development of da'wah. The resulting video content is created through a series of production processes until video studies can be followed through the Youtube platform. The method used in this research is descriptive analytical method using three theories related to production organization, namely Pre Production, Production and Post Production from Gill Branston and Roy Stafford to the production of Islamic content in Bayt Al-Quran. Bayt Al-Quran as a da'wah organization presents positively charged content on the Youtube platform. The results showed that there were obstacles in the production process but the manufacture of Bayt Al Quran was able to overcome them. The finished video content is then distributed through the Youtube platform. The uploaded video content allows the audience to watch it anytime and anywhere.

Abstract

This paper aims to discuss how the strategy of preaching takmir of Masjid Raya al-Falah in fostering the younger generation. This research is a field study with a qualitative approach which will be carried out in 2021 at the Al-Falah Grand Mosque, Sragen. The primary data source in this research is direct interviews with the mosque takmir. The sources of the interview came from the takmir of the mosque, mosque administrators, mosque employees and courtiers of Masjid Raya al-Falah Sragen. In addition to interviews, data were obtained through observation by observing, recording, listening, photographing, recording, and directly following the various activities that were the busiest at the Al-Falah Mosque, Sragen. The results of the study show that the strategy of preaching takmir mosques in developing and fostering the younger generation is to conduct youth development in mosques.

Abstract

Kajian ini menyoal tentang representasi kecantikan pada iklan Somethinc x Lifni Sanders 2020. Di tengah fenomena iklan produk kecantikan menawarkan standar kecantikan dengan orientasi kecantikan fisik, berbeda dengan iklan produk Somethinc. Model analisis semiotika Charles Sanders Pierce yakni triangle meaning digunakan untuk mendefiniskan tanda yaitu representamen, objek dan Interpretan yang difokuskan pada visual gambar dan bahasa teks. Kajian diharapkan mampu mengeksplorasi representasi kecantikan dalam iklan tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kecantikan pada iklan Somethinc x Lifni Sanders 2020 direpresentasikan dengan kepercayaan diri dan tidak menghiraukan penilaian orang lain. Sebagai anugerah Tuhan sejak perempuan dilahirkan maka kecantikan tidak didasarkan pada warna kulit, jenis rambut dan lain-lain. Kecantikan juga didefinisikan menjadi dirinya sendiri dan mereka yang berjiwa sosial.

Abstract

Abstrak Analisis framing adalah suatu pendekatan untuk melihat bagaimana realitas dibingkai oleh media. Kegiatan analisis framing yang peneliti lakukan yaitu terhadap berita-berita terkait fatwa MUI tentang vaksin AstraZeneca di media online Kompas.com dan iNews.id edisi Maret 2021 menggunakan model framing Robert N. Entman. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) Mengetahui framing berita fatwa MUI tentang vaksin AstraZeneca di media online Kompas.com dan iNews.id edisi Maret 2021, (2) mengetahui perbedaan frame yang terjadi di antara kedua media tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif interpretatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Kompas.com mengframe berita seakan-akan khalayak ditekan untuk harus berpartisipasi dalam program vaksin AstraZeneca, sedangkan frame berita yang disajikan iNews.id yaitu menyampaikan kepada khalayak bahwa vaksin AstraZeneca bermanfaat. Tanpa adanya penekanan frame yang khusus seperti yang dilakukan Kompas.com.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dakwah yang dilakukan oleh majelis Tajul Muhajirin, serta bagaiman prilaku jamaah (mad’u) dalam pengaplikasikan materi dakwah, yang dilakukan oleh majelis dalam upaya meningkatkan Spiritualitasmasyarakat desa Omben kabupaten Sampang. Keberhasilan dakwah yaitu mampu membawa jamaah (mad’u) mencapai kesadaran sepiritualnya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dangan pengumpulan data melalu observasi non partisapan dan wawancara mendalam. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa majelis Tajul Muhajirin melakukan dakwah dengan beberapa pendekatan dengan mempertimbangkan metode sebagai strategi dakwahnya. dan hasilnya terbilang efektif. Hal ini dilihat dari sisi kualitas keagamaan, secara sepiritual mayoritas jamaah mengaku mengalami perubahan, seperti meninggalkan perbuatan- perbuatan dosa, melaksanakan kewajiban sholat, puasa dan beramal sholeh serta perubahan kualitas hidup yang lebih positif dari yang buruk menjadi baik, dari yang baik menjadi lebih baik.

Abstract

Perempuan bercadar dalam kehidupan sehari-hari menimbulkan perspektif negatif, mereka dicurigai sebagai muslimah garis keras oleh masyarakat, istri teroris, kaku dan panatik. Mereka belum mendapatkan dukungan oleh pihak-pihak tertentu. Hal ini peneliti ingin mengetahui bagaimana strategi dakwah dalam komunitas Niqab Squad Jogja dalam mengubah perspektif masyarakat. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif dengan menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data yaitu, observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Peneliti menggunakan Teori Jaringan Komunikasi Organisasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa komunitas Niqab Squad Jogja berhasil dalam mengatasi perspektif negatif masyarakat terhadap wanita bercadar, didukung dengan kegiatan-kegiatan positif yang di lakukan komunitas Niqab Squad Jogja. Kegiatan yang dilakukan adalah kerjasama antara organisasi lain dengan Niqab Squad Jogja, masyarakat yang belum bercadar mau mengikuti kegiatan yang diselenggarakan, keterikatan pengikut di media sosial Niqab Squad secara aktif.

Abstract

Beberapa bulan terakhir ini, ada satu tren penyembuhan yang sedang ramai diperbincangkan di Indonesia yaitu healing. Healing berasal dari bahasa Inggris yang berarti penyembuhan atau pemulihan. Namun, permasalahannya adalah bahwa banyak masyarakat khususnya anak muda yang telah menyalahartikan healing. Kebanyakan orang memaknai healing dengan liburan dan menghabiskan uang saja. Padahal, healing sesungguhnya adalah segala jenis penyembuhan yang tidak mengandalkan obat-obatan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus untuk memahami makna Healing dengan Al-Qur’an pada channel YouTube Hanan Attaki. Adapun analisis pada penelitian ini menggunakan teori semiotika yang dikembangkan oleh Peirce. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian bahwa salah satu healing terbaik yang menenangkan hati dan jiwa yaitu membaca Al-Qur’an karena pada hakikatnya Al-Qur’an memang diturunkan untuk menjadi obat bagi orang-orang yang beriman. Healing dengan Al-Qur’an tentunya sangat sederhana karena tidak perlu mengeluarkan biaya. Selain itu, healing dengan cara ini justru akan mendatangkan pahala. Cara healing dengan Al-Qur’an yaitu dengan mencari ayat-ayat tematik yang sesuai dengan permasalahan yang sedang dialami, membaca ayat tersebut secara berulang-ulang, kemudian memaknai apa yang dibaca dengan pemaknaan yang dalam (tadabbur). Membaca berulang-ulang suatu ayat Al-Qur’an menjadikan ayat tersebut memiliki kekuatan yang dahsyat.
