Abstract

Patient safety is a top priority in healthcare services and constitutes the first step in improving service quality. Compliance with patient safety implementation is influenced by several factors, including length of work experience, knowledge, and nurses’ motivation. This study aimed to determine the factors influencing nurses’ compliance in the implementation of patient safety at Rumah Sakit Islam Gorontalo. This study employed a correlational quantitative design with a cross-sectional approach. The sampling technique used was non-probability sampling with total random sampling, involving 41 respondents. Data were collected using a questionnaire sheet. The results of the study using the Chi-square (x²) statistical test showed that there was a relationship between work experience factors (p = 0.032), knowledge (p = 0.045), and motivation (p = 0.010) with compliance in the implementation of patient safety at Rumah Sakit Islam Gorontalo. The study suggests the need to improve evaluation and follow-up regarding compliance with patient safety implementation in the inpatient wards of Rumah Sakit Islam Gorontalo.

Abstract

Hypertension is one of the health problems experienced by many elderly people and has the potential to cause serious complications if not treated optimally. One of the factors that affect the success of hypertension treatment is the motivation of the elderly, which can be strengthened through family support. This study aims to analyze the relationship between family support and the motivation of the elderly in undergoing hypertension treatment at the Telaga Biru Health Center. This study uses a type of quantitative research with a cross-sectional approach. The sample of this study was 48 elderly using purposive sampling techniques. This data was collected using questionnaire interviews by assessing four dimensions of family support (emotional, instrumental, informational, and assessment) and four indicators of elderly motivation (medication adherence, blood pressure monitoring, physical activity, and dietary regulation). This study uses the chi-square test. The results showed that most of the respondents received family support in the good category (64.6%) and had a high level of motivation (70.8%). The results of the chi-square test showed that there was a significant relationship between family support and the motivation of the elderly (p value = 0.014 < ? = 0.05), which means that the higher the family support, the higher the motivation of the elderly in undergoing hypertension treatment. The results of the study show that family support has an important role in increasing the motivation of the elderly in undergoing hypertension treatment. Therefore, family involvement through continuous education from health facilities is an aspect that needs to be considered in an effort to improve the quality of life of the elderly and prevent complications.

Abstract

The World Health Organization (WHO) reports that about 33% of the burden of diseases experienced by women in the world is related to reproductive health problems. In Indonesia, around 90% of women are at risk of developing fluoride albus. Fluorine albus or vaginal discharge is one of the reproductive health problems often experienced by adolescent girls. This study aims to analyze factors related to the incidence of fluoride albus in adolescent girls. This study uses a quantitative design with a cross sectional approach. The population amounted to 83 young women with a sample of 69 respondents selected using purposive sampling techniques. Data analysis using the Chi-Square test as well as the alternative test Fisher's Exact Test. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between attitudes towards reproductive health (p = 0.008), personal hygiene of reproductive organs (p = 0.000), and parental support (p = 0.000) with the incidence of fluorine albus (p < 0.05). There was a significant relationship between attitudes, personal hygiene of reproductive organs and parental support with the incidence of fluoride albus in adolescent girls. It is hoped that schools, health workers, and parents can increase education and coaching related to reproductive health to prevent the occurrence of pathological fluorine albus.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of legal certainty in strengthening the economic resilience of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) after disasters in Palu City and formulate a legal certainty model based on Society 5.0. The earthquake, tsunami, and liquefaction disasters in 2018 caused economic and institutional problems for MSME actors, especially damage to business premises, loss of legal documents, unclear asset status, weak business legality, and limited access to financing. This research uses an empirical legal method with a juridical-sociological approach and institutional economics. Data was obtained through document studies, regulatory studies, MSME data analysis, and limited interviews with elements of agencies, villages, and MSME actors in the Kaomona City Forest area. The results of the study show that legal certainty plays a role as a prerequisite for the economic resilience of MSMEs through the legalization of business premises, asset protection, ease of licensing, business data collection, and access to financing. Empirical findings show that there is government intervention through the provision of around 300 stalls, the existence of 264 business actors in 2021, and assistance to 185 MSME actors. However, business sustainability still faces obstacles in the form of limited integrated data, unclear regional management, low legal-digital literacy, and suboptimal technological adaptation. This research offers a model of legal certainty based on Society 5.0 through the digitization of MSME data, integration of licensing services, legalization of business premises, the use of big data, digital legal services, and strengthening the human resource capabilities of MSME actors. This model is expected to contribute to the recovery of MSMEs after disasters that is adaptive, inclusive, transparent, and sustainable.

Abstract

Micro-scale culinary MSMEs are commonly assumed to have limited digital reach due to a lack of capital and a follower base. This study challenges this assumption by analyzing the visibility anomaly on the TikTok account @rm.padang.unilintau, a culinary MSME in Palembang City that managed to achieve 219,200 organic impressions even though it only has 792 followers. A descriptive qualitative approach was used, with data obtained through virtual observation of three sample videos, in-depth interviews with managers and business owners, and digital metric documentation. The analysis refers to the three characteristics of McQuail and Deuze (2020) New Media Theory, hypertextuality, interactivity, and dispersal. The results showed that the use of viral audio hacked the For You Page algorithm through sound-based hypertextual indexing, resulting in a 645% spike in impressions compared to low-popularity audio videos. Stimulation of appetite appeal through the visualization of side dishes without verbal narratives encourages high-intent engagement as well as physical visit conversion. The dispersal of content to the WhatsApp ecosystem expands the reach beyond geographical boundaries without the cost of paid advertising. Overall, the findings prove that the distribution of content in new media is no longer determined by the hierarchy of the number of followers, but rather by the precision of strategy in responding to algorithmic logic. This research offers a digital communication framework based on new media characteristics as an alternative for MSMEs operating with limited marketing capital.

Abstract

Arthritis is an inflammatory condition in the joints that can cause changes in bone position, accompanied by swelling, pain, stiffness, and limited movement, which are influenced by various factors including obesity and a history of joint injuries. This disease is one of the non-communicable diseases whose prevalence continues to increase and now occurs in many productive ages. In Gorontalo City, the number of arthritis cases increased from 2,769 cases in 2023 to 2,992 cases in 2024, with 87.79% of sufferers being of productive age. Therefore, this study aims to determine the relationship between obesity and history of joint injuries and the incidence of arthritis at productive age (15–59 years) at the West City Health Center in 2026. This study uses an observational analytical method with a cross-sectional design. The population in this study is patients of productive age at the West City Health Center, with a sample of 87 respondents selected using accidental sampling techniques. Data was collected through questionnaires, then analyzed using the chi-square test. Results showed a significant relationship between obesity (p=0.001) and history of joint injury (p=0.026) and the incidence of arthritis. The conclusion of this study is that obesity and a history of joint injury have a significant relationship with the incidence of arthritis at productive age at the West City Health Center in 2026. Thus, prevention efforts through weight control, increased physical activity, and proper handling of joint injuries need to be carried out to reduce the risk of arthritis occurrence at productive age.
