Abstract

Corruption is one of the biggest challenges in governance in Indonesia, which adversely affects national development and public trust in the government. This research aims to analyze how the implementation of good governance principles, such as transparency, accountability, participation, and law enforcement, can minimize corruption. Using a descriptive-analytical qualitative approach, data were obtained through documentation studies, in-depth interviews, and participatory observations in various government agencies at the central and local levels. The results show that the main obstacles in the implementation of good governance include the lack of public access to public information, weak internal supervision, low public participation in the decision-making process, and injustice in law enforcement against perpetrators of corruption. Strategies such as data digitization through e-governance, strengthening internal and external audits, increasing participation through public consultation forums, and reforming the legal system have proven to have a positive impact in creating cleaner and more accountable governance. This study concludes that consistent and integrated application of good governance principles can reduce the potential for corruption while increasing public trust in government. The success of this strategy requires political commitment, increased institutional capacity and broad community involvement. This study makes an important contribution to developing public policy and governance practices in Indonesia, while offering an implementation model that is adaptive to the local context. With a holistic approach, this research is expected to serve as a reference for future corruption eradication efforts.

Abstract

The phenomenon of the empty box winning in the 2024 Simultaneous Regional Head Election (Pilkada) reflects public dissatisfaction with the existing political process, particularly concerning the dominance of single candidates. The presence of the empty box as an alternative option highlights structural problems within Indonesia's democratic system, which limits political participation and reduces public representation. Although regulated in the Regional Election Law, this phenomenon reveals a lack of trust in the nomination mechanism, which is neither inclusive nor transparent. This study analyzes how the empty box phenomenon serves as a protest symbol against the lack of diversity in election choices and its impact on political participation. The author argues that to improve the quality of Indonesia's democracy, reform in the nomination system and political participation is necessary to create a more representative and accountable government. This reform must also be accompanied by better political education for the public.

Abstract

The law aims to provide fair treatment for everyone regardless of status. The law allows for fair resolution of disputes, with the existence of a judicial system, individuals can seek justice if there is a violation of their rights. In this legal role, the police profession has a strategic role in enforcing the law and maintaining order in society. The strategic role of the police is the main pillar in providing efforts to maintain order and justice in society. The police play a role in creating a safe, fair and orderly environment. The strategic role of the police is to enforce the law and ensure that the law is applied consistently and fairly. In this case, most police fail to provide justice and a sense of security to the community, and focus more on enforcing legal regulations. Therefore, it is necessary to find a solution to address these problems by improving the quality of education and training for police officers, optimizing a humanist approach in law enforcement, strengthening synergy between the police and the community, as well as digitizing and transparency of the law enforcement process.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the role of education in preventing early marriage in Indonesia, as well as to explore its impact on family law. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with a normative legal approach to analyze cases of early marriage in Indonesia from the perspective of protecting children's rights. Data were obtained from print media, online media, and previous research, as well as expert opinions and community groups. The conclusion shows that the impact of early marriage on family law shows that even though there are regulations governing the age limit for marriage, this practice is still ongoing and gives rise to various problems, both in terms of law, social, and psychological. Early marriage has the potential to harm the rights of women and children, such as limited access to education, poor health, and the inability to manage a household properly which often leads to divorce. Family law needs to be strengthened, both in terms of supervision, protection of individual rights, and community empowerment, to overcome this problem and ensure that every individual enters marriage at an age that is physically, mentally, and socially mature.

Abstract

The increasing prevalence of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) such as diabetes, hypertension and cardiovascular disease is a major public health challenge in Indonesia. Community empowerment through health promotion by providing education to increase knowledge has become a strategy to support the prevention and control of NCDs independently by the community. This research applies the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method to assess the role of community empowerment in increasing awareness of non-communicable diseases (NCDs). The SLR method was chosen because it is capable of identifying, researching and compiling a synthesis of relevant evidence obtained from previous research. Research results show that community empowerment has a positive impact, especially in increasing awareness, interest and attention to the importance of health information. With growing awareness, communities are becoming more active in taking preventive measures, making this empowerment an important foundation in building healthier and more resilient communities.

Abstract

Differences of opinion among scholars in the fields of Islamic law actually occurred during the time of the Companions of the Prophet. However, these differences can still be overcome with political policies and the legality of ijmak. However, at the end of the Companion period, known as the Tabi'in period (approximately starting in 41 AH), differences of opinion could not be resolved like they were resolved during the Companion period. This is where the process of transitioning Islamic law began from a form of ijtihad which was based on the greatness of friends to a scientific and measurable process until the birth of school imams who codified the results of their legal thinking in the form of fiqh books. Ahl al-Hadith and Ahl al-ra'y are two forms of legal thought that ushered in this transition process. That period was the time when efforts to shape Islamic law began to suit societal conditions and rationality. The school of thought is the main idea or basis used by the mujtahid Imam in solving problems; or adhere to Islamic law. The emergence of the school of thought, as part of the historical process of establishing Islamic law, was neatly arranged from generations of friends, tabi'in, until it reached its golden age in the Abbasid Caliphate, but it must be acknowledged that the school of thought has made a major contribution to thinking in establishing Islamic jurisprudence law. The reasons for the differences opinion/school of thought due to differences in perception in ushul fiqh and fiqh as well as differences in interpretation or interpretation of mujtahids. Adhering to the understanding of bermahzab, due to factors Our "inability" to explore Sharia law itself directly from its sources (the Koran and Sunnah). The source of Islamic law is the most basic thing in the process of establishing a law. In Islam, the main sources of law are the Al-Quran and Sunnah.

Abstract

The rapid growth of urbanization in Palembang, South Sumatra Province, poses challenges in the management of energy resources and the environment. This study aims to evaluate the application of Internet of Things (IoT) in the E-Cleanness City Information and Management System program as a solution in improving energy efficiency and smart city operations. Mixed research methods were used, combining quantitative and qualitative analysis to obtain a comprehensive picture of the impact of IoT implementation. The results showed a 10% decrease in energy consumption and a 15% increase in operational efficiency after IoT implementation. The main factors contributing to the efficiency improvement include optimization of waste collection routes, reduction in the number of operational vehicles, and improved response times. In addition, user and system manager satisfaction surveys indicated high levels of satisfaction, indicating positive acceptance of the technology. The social and economic benefits include reduced operational costs, improved quality of life, creation of new jobs, and increased environmental awareness. However, challenges such as limited technological infrastructure, the need for further training, complex system integration, and data security and privacy issues need to be addressed to optimize IoT implementation. This research recommends infrastructure development, intensive training programs, and implementation of strong data security protocols as strategic steps to support the sustainability of smart city management in Palembang. The findings are expected to serve as a reference for the development of similar policies in other cities in Indonesia in an effort to achieve energy efficiency and environmental sustainability through IoT technology.

Abstract

Cloud Computing offers various advantages, but also presents major challenges related to data security. End-to-end encryption (E2EE) is considered as a solution to mitigate threats to the security of data stored and processed in the cloud. This research aims to examine the effect of implementing E2EE encryption in improving data security in Cloud Computing. Using a qualitative approach with literature study and secondary data analysis, this research focuses on three main threat categories: data leakage, unauthorized access, and cyberattacks. The results show that E2EE encryption can reduce the incidence of data leakage by 80%, unauthorized access by 83.3%, and cyberattacks by 78.6%. Despite its effectiveness, E2EE encryption implementation faces challenges in encryption key management and potential degradation in system performance. Therefore, good key management and multifactor authentication are essential to ensure data security. This study concludes that although end-to-end encryption improves security, a thorough policy, including key management and access control, is needed to maximize data protection in Cloud Computing.
