Abstract

Introduction Diabetes mellitus is still an important health problem in the world, including in Indonesia, because cases continue to occur and are increasing (Nuraisyah, 2018). This disease is a metabolic disease characterized by chronic hyperglycemia resulting from damage/deficiency of insulin secretion, impaired response to insulin hormone or both (IDF, 2021 in Sutomo & Hadi, 2023). Diabetes Mellitus is not only the cause of death worldwide but is the main cause of blindness, heart disease and kidney failure (Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, 2020). The International Diabetes Federation in 2022 reports that 537 million adults (20-79 years) live with diabetes worldwide. This number is expected to increase to 643 million (1 in 9 adults) in 2030 and 784 million (1 in 8 adults) in 2045. Diabetes mellitus causes 6.7 million deaths in 2021. It is estimated that 44% of adults living with diabetes (240 million people) undiagnosed. 541 million adults worldwide, or 1 in 10, have impaired glucose tolerance, placing them at high risk of developing type 2 diabetes (IDF, 2021). The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia reports that the number of people with diabetes mellitus in 2021 is 19.47 million people (Ministry of Health RI, 2022). In Indonesia, the percentage of the population suffering from diabetes mellitus is 1.5% percent of the total population of Indonesia, which is approximately 172.5 million people. Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a condition that is often associated with an increased risk of morbidity and mortality. Elderly (elderly) who suffer from DM often also experience other diseases, physical disabilities, psychosocial disorders and cognitive function, as well as increased medical services. In the end, the complications that occur will affect the quality of life of the elderly (Simatupang & Mita Kristina, 2023). Type 2 DM is found in 85-90% of the total DM sufferers and is often found in the elderly. The highest prevalence of DM was found in residents aged ≥60 years with the highest incidence also found in that age group. The results of the Canadian Study of Health and Aging (CHSA) showed that the prevalence of DM was 12.1%. According to a survey conducted by the World Health Organization (WHO), Indonesia ranks 4th with the largest number of DM sufferers in the world after India, China and the United States. (Simatupang & Mita Kristina, 2023).

Abstract

Equality education is a non-formal education channel facilitated by the Government/Society for students who study not through formal education (school route). In Equality Education, there are 3 packages, namely Pursue Packages A, B, and C Pursue Packages A, B, and C is a solution for those of us who have dropped out of school due to relatively low family economic conditions or are even over school age but want to have knowledge, abilities, and certificates equivalent to those of elementary, junior high, and high school. the purpose of this study was to determine the role of Equality Education in fostering school dropouts. Through this Equality Education program, students will receive equivalent lessons according to their level. This package of learning activities is carried out flexibly compared to formal schools, meaning that learning is not carried out in full in 1 week but is only carried out 3 times a week. Abstract

Money laundering is an illegal method of generating large sums of money from criminal activities, such as drug trafficking, corruption or other criminal activities. The process of money laundering generally goes through three stages of activity, namely the placement stage, the distribution stage and the collection stage with the aim of making it appear as if it comes from a legitimate source, in order to make it look clean. The emergence of losses that are reflected in the presence of victims is the adverse impact of money laundering activities which today in fact money laundering does not only have a direct impact on the individual who is harmed but the effect will be felt on national and even global economic stability. The characteristics of the crime of money laundering must be known in advance before developing a strategy to prevent and then deal with the crime of money laundering.

Abstract

The existence of health facilities in the form of hospitals can improve the health standard of the people of Denpasar, as evidenced by the high life expectancy in 2022 equal to 75.3 years. By increasing the level of public health, other sectors will receive a positive influence, especially the economic sector. The high need for health facilities in the city of Denpasar has caused many investors to start pursuing the health business, especially hospitals. Businesses in the Health sector provide considerable profits with a relatively high Initial Rate of Return (IRR) or investment return rate of 50.44% (Arwati, 2016). In addition to providing benefits to the community and businesses, the health business, in the form of hospitals, also has a significant negative impact on the environment. The characteristics of the waste generated by hospital operations are in the form of domestic waste and B3 waste (hazardous toxic materials) such as leftover syringes, leftover laboratory washing water and leftover reagents. The management of the resulting liquid B3 waste can be carried out with the operation of an WWTP (wastewater treatment installation). It is necessary to carry out calculations related to the performance efficiency of the WWTP so as to ensure that the processed water is suitable for reuse and to calculate the clean water savings that can be achieved in order to apply the concept of a sustainable economy. Based on the research results, the level of treatment efficiency which is quite high, which is more than 90%, will produce processed water that can be reused to support operational activities. The use of ground water for operational activities can be reduced by 60% or around 48 m3/day.
