This research uses qualitative research with a case study research approach. The research was conducted at the Pesantren Border Aceh Tenggara as one of the pesantren assisted by the Aceh Province Islamic Boarding School Education Office. The last process is needed to provide input (feedback) for the next management process. The results of this study have implications for strategic management in pesantren management, namely: 1) the pesantren has managed to survive and strived to achieve the set academic program targets; 2) Islamic boarding schools as covid-19 prevention facilitators at the entrance to the provincial borders as a central place for health checks for immigrants who enter through the borders of Aceh province; 3) transformation of the learning system from traditional models to technology-based learning; and 4) the community is able to objectively assess educational institutions that are good in terms of management so as to allow a clear relationship between rewards and performance.

This research uses a qualitative method of scriptive, with a case study approach that focuses on boarding school Dar El Hikmah Pekanbaru Riau, Indonesia. The source of this research data is the main informant, namely the manager and teacher of pesantren. Data collection is done with structured interviews. The results of this study showed that the pattern of education carried out in boarding school Dar El Hikmah Pekanbaru implemented a limited learning pattern, namely limiting some students to study at home and others doing learning in dormitories. The manager carries out three stages of activities, namely the stage of preparation, implementation and supervision. In the application of formal learning activities are conducted online for students who live at home, using the Google Classroom app, and e-learning. While living in a dormitory, can study offline or face-to-face with teachers, while obeying health protocols. Compliance with the rules of adhere to health protocols is done well by pesantren managers, by putting up appeals through banners, loud speakers, and 24-hour picket officers. In addition, the manager also requires all teachers and students to wear masks, provide hand washing facilities along with handshops, and prepare isolation rooms in anticipation of emergencies. The implication of this research is that pesantren always gets challenged to carry out its role and function as an Islamic educational institution, therefore openness and preparedness in reforming in various aspects of managerial needs to be put forward.

This study aims to investigate the correlation between students’ ability to memorize the Qur’an and students’ learning achievement in the subject of al-Quran and hadiths. To achieve the objective, the study utilized quantitative method under the frame of correlational design involving seventy eleventh grade students who took al-Qur’an hadiths subject. To collect the data, the study utilized questionnaires. The obtain data were then analyzed by using correlation analysis technique through SPPS 20.0 software. The results showed that the ability to memorize the Qur'an has a significant correlation with the students’ learning achievement in the subject of al-Qur'an hadith. It is evidenced in the results of analysis that the two variables were correlated around 52.3% with a determination coefficient of 0.523 and a significance level (ρ) of 0.000. The students who have the ability to memorize the Qur’an have strong memories, good attention to details and brilliant thoughts because the students may have a lot of practice in matching the verses in the Qur’an with their memorization or recitation,. Therefore, it is expected that by increasing their ability in memorizing the Qur’an, the students can improve their learning achievement in the subject of al-Qur'an hadith since it uses Arabic as the Qur'an does.
