An objective of JAIM: Jurnal Abdimas Imigrasi is to promote the wide dissemination of the results of systematic scholarly inquiries into the broad field of migration research. JAIM: Jurnal Abdimas Imigrasi is intended to be the journal for publishing articles reporting the results of research on migration studies. JAID: Journal of Administration and International Development invites manuscripts in the areas: Migration Studies; Community Service Public Service Social Empowerment JAIM: Jurnal Abdimas Imigrasi accepts articles in any business related subjects and any research methodology that meet the standards established for publication in the journal. The primary, but not exclusive, audiences are academicians, graduate students, practitioners, and others interested in business research. The primary criterion for publication in JAIM: Jurnal Abdimas Imigrasi is the significance of the contribution an article makes to the literature in business area, i.e., the significance of the contribution and on the rigor of analysis and presentation of the paper. The acceptance decision is made based upon an independent review process that provides critically constructive and prompt evaluations of submitted manuscripts.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji peran kolaboratif antara Unit Pelaksana Teknis Pelayanan dan Perlindungan Tenaga Kerja (UPT P2TK) Dinas Tenaga Kerja dan Transmigrasi Provinsi Jawa Timur dan Kementerian Luar Negeri dalam menangani pelanggaran hak gaji terhadap Pekerja Migran Indonesia (PMI), baik yang ditempatkan secara prosedural maupun nonprosedural. Permasalahan yang dihadapi meliputi tidak dibayarnya upah, pemotongan sepihak, hingga kerja paksa tanpa kompensasi, yang merupakan bentuk pelanggaran hak ekonomi dan ancaman terhadap kesejahteraan PMI. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif melalui wawancara, observasi lapangan, dan studi dokumentasi kelembagaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa UPT P2TK berperan sebagai simpul pelaporan awal, yang kemudian mengoordinasikan penanganan dengan BP2MI dan Kementerian Luar Negeri, terutama dalam kasus lintas negara. Kasus PMI prosedural lebih mudah ditangani karena adanya jalur diplomatik dan data yang lengkap, sedangkan kasus nonprosedural mengalami hambatan signifikan terkait dokumen dan yurisdiksi. Studi ini menyimpulkan bahwa kolaborasi antarlembaga berkontribusi terhadap upaya diplomasi perlindungan warga negara dan menekankan pentingnya penguatan tata kelola migrasi berbasis data, pencegahan jalur ilegal, serta peningkatan kapasitas institusi daerah dalam sistem perlindungan nasional yang responsif.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan mengembangkan animasi edukatif sebagai media sosialisasi kesehatan untuk anak sekolah dasar. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan tiga tahapan: (1) pra-pelaksanaan (observasi kebutuhan dan pengembangan konsep), (2) pelaksanaan (produksi animasi dan uji coba), dan (3) evaluasi (analisis dampak melalui pre-test/post-test dan kuesioner). Hasil menunjukkan bahwa animasi "Ayo Hidup Sehat!" berhasil meningkatkan pemahaman siswa tentang cuci tangan pakai sabun dari 40% (pre-test) menjadi 85% (post-test). Sebanyak 90% siswa menyatakan sangat puas dengan animasi, yang membuktikan efektivitas pendekatan edutainment dalam menyampaikan pesan kesehatan. Keunggulan utama animasi ini adalah penggunaan visual dinamis, narasi interaktif, dan karakter yang relatable, yang lebih menarik dibandingkan metode konvensional (poster/ceramah). Kendala utama terletak pada durasi animasi yang dinilai terlalu singkat (3 menit) dan waktu produksi yang relatif lama (4 minggu). Kegiatan ini merekomendasikan pengembangan episode tambahan, integrasi dengan media digital, dan kolaborasi dengan dinas terkait untuk perluasan dampak.

Program kolaboratif antara akademisi, petugas imigrasi, dan masyarakat ini dirancang melalui tiga tahap utama: (1) identifikasi kebutuhan berbasis partisipasi, (2) pengembangan materi penyuluhan interaktif, dan (3) implementasi dengan pendekatan learning by doing. Metode evaluasi menggunakan kombinasi kuesioner pre-test/post-test (N=85), observasi partisipan, dan diskusi kelompok terfokus menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman teknis (47%), persepsi manfaat (52%), dan kemudahan penggunaan (43%). Temuan ini memperkuat teori Technology Acceptance Model dengan menegaskan pentingnya experiential learning dalam adopsi teknologi. Program ini juga menghasilkan modul pelatihan standar yang telah diadopsi oleh Kantor Imigrasi sebagai bagian dari kurikulum pelatihan petugas. Implikasi praktisnya mencakup rekomendasi untuk desain antarmuka yang lebih inklusif dan model kolaborasi institusi pendidikan-instansi pemerintah yang lebih terstruktur.

Abstract

This The Indonesia–Malaysia border area is a strategic region that is vulnerable to various threats such as immigration violations, smuggling, and transnational crimes. In this context, the involvement of immigration officers in community service plays a crucial role in strengthening national defense through educational and collaborative approaches. This community service aims to describe the role of immigration officers in educating border communities and building solid cooperation to raise awareness of the importance of safeguarding national sovereignty. The method used in this service is a literature review, analyzing various relevant sources such as academic journals, policy reports, and official documents related to immigration functions in border areas. The results show that the educational approaches conducted by immigration officers have increased public understanding of immigration regulations and the risks of legal violations, while cross-sectoral collaboration has strengthened surveillance networks and early detection of potential threats. These findings affirm that national defense in border regions does not rely solely on security forces, but also requires the active participation of well-informed communities who are concerned about immigration issues. Therefore, the development of educational programs and the reinforcement of collaboration between immigration officers and local communities should be continuously enhanced to ensure sustainable border security.

Abstract

Inclusive public service is one of the main indicators in realizing respect for human rights, including the right of persons with disabilities to obtain equal access to information. In the immigration environment, access to procedural information is often not fully accessible to visually impaired individuals. Based on this condition, an innovation in the form of implementing a Braille Corner service at the Class I Non-TPI Bogor Immigration Office is proposed as an alternative solution to create disability-friendly services. This research aims to examine the urgency and relevance of implementing the Braille Corner in the context of immigration public services through a literature study approach. The method used is a literature review of various scientific sources, government policies, laws and regulations, and good practices in disability services in the public sector. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the Braille Corner has the potential to provide significant benefits, including increased accessibility of immigration information for visually impaired applicants, strengthening the institution's image as humane and inclusive, and contributing to the fulfillment of the principles of Human Rights-Based Public Services (P2HAM). In addition, this service can also be a strategic step in supporting bureaucratic reform and accelerating services that are adaptive to the needs of vulnerable groups. The conclusion of this research recommends that the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, especially the Directorate General of Immigration, begin to consider piloting the Braille Corner service as a form of disability-friendly immigration service innovation that can be replicated nationally.
