Abstract

This study aims to determine the woman contribution in the family economy. It is interesting to study because the Indonesian especially people in Riau province, the financial responsibility belong to men (husbands). Meanwhile women (wives) are often viewed as scaffolder of the family economy. This research is classified as qualitative method since it can captured and explained the phenomena. The results indicated that women weavers had a significant contribution in the household economy, particularly for those who had husband with decisive job and fixed income. Choosing this job as a source of economic income is a strategy to carry out their gender role in the domestic sector. They could earn money from the job without leaving the responsibility in caring their household

Abstract

This study discuss contemporary feminist genres and innovative techniques PoyK and social issues, traditional and modern culture of women in the short story. Analysis of descriptive  data through library data, relevant research journal articles, online newspapers, short story Fanny J. Poyk "Mince Woman from Notes," Kompas, December 3, 2017; "Belis is Dowry" Kompas January 10, 2016; and "One Day in Metromini" Republika November 12, 2017. Analysis of data on the search for Poyk feminism and social, traditional and modern cultural issues concerning women.The results this research show that the feminist genre in Poyk's imagery in his short story is radical feminism. Feminist movement that rejects parthiarchy. Mince out of the house and earn a living independently. Women have not been sold properly in households and the public sphere. From a cultural point of view there has been a throwback in the culture of marriage in NTT in deciding the wedding dowies 'Belis' have taken place in these modern times. Things that need to be paid attention to economies that demand others can live frugally and practically. Poyk’s short story through characterization reflects the phenomenon of women who have gender inequality in terms of marginalization, subordination, stereotype, violence, and double burden.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the form, meaning and dimension of pregnant women’s social order from the perspective of superstition. This research is a qualitative research as the technique of data collection was done through observation and unstructured interview. The data analysis was done through three steps; data reduction, data display and conclusion. Based on the data analysis it can be concluded that: (1) superstition belong pregnant women in Kubuang Tigo Baleh is the form of communication, (2) superstition of pregnant women in Kubuang Tigo Baleh is assocative, (3) superstition of pregnant women in Kubuang Tigo Baleh is always formed through event context. In other words, superstition of pregnant women in Kubuang Tigo Baleh aims to make pregnant women always careful in doing their manners. The carefullness in behaving is the effort to create social order

Abstract

In the midst of a current era where gender equality is increasingly echoed, there are salafi groups, especially for women, who try to obey the mainstream. In this way, they even tend to have cultivation of a new  way to counter the old culture. In the midst of a negative stigma towards the characteristic of their dress that tends to be closed and restricted by their husbands,  many salafi women are able to move forward and do not miss the non-Salafi women in general. This research attempt to reveal the concept of Islamic women social live according to Salafi doctrine in the middle plurality of Metro regency. The findings of this study conclude that the woman do not experience significant social interaction in social aspect. They can even others you as a woman in general. Associated domestication by husbands, they believe that it is basically not the husband's command but more on the shari'a they believe in

Abstract

This article would investigate the gender representation in English textbooks for MTs Students. In detail, the investigation covered: Gender-biased, gender posistion, authors’ understanding, male and female position, the explicitly or implicitly presented the gender representation in the English textbook for MTs students.  Critical Multimodal Analysis and Content Analysis Method was used to analyze the data. The results will be expected is to obtain the clear understanding of each aspects regarding to the gender representation in the English textbooks for MTs as the object of  the investigated. Furthermore, another result can be summed up is the authors of English for MTs use imageare used inequal or unbalance. In other  words, the authors of “English on Sky” Grade VIII for MTs/Junior High School shows that the gender positioning was inequal. In the meantime, the authors use some words to illustrate or depict the gender which are in English textbook “English in Focus”, they are adjective, proper name, and pronoun.  Based on the result as seen above, the authors of the two English textbooks, not only the authors of English in Focus but also English on Sky have somewhat understanding  the gender bias, gender streotype.

Abstract

This article is to describe and analyze the aspirations and needs of single parent women in the context of empowerment through religious education and entrepreneurship and to analyze patterns of empowering entrepreneurial religious education that are relevant for single parents. This research was conducted by using  Participatory Action Research (PAR). The techniques include: transects, interviews and Focus Group Discussion (FGD). Factors that cause the low management and utilization  in Batu Hampa Village are: economic factors - limited capital, and intermediary factors that facilitate and allow the rooted inability of single parent women and Low Human Resources of single parent women.

Abstract

Impulse buying for buying things behavior known as unplanned purchase behavior often that spread to everyone.There is no exception among Muslim women, often stuck to make purchases that are not planned on products woman fashion online. This is because of the ease of online shopping procedure in making a woman could has the deal of buying the things, without having to get out of the door of his home. By using qualitative methods, then this researchl concerned to discuss how the behavior of impulse buying is done by the Muslim Indonesia through online purchase. This research useed the analysis of case studies, with the observation, interviewing and documenting data from fifty informants from several cities in Indonesia. This research resulted  several things related to how the woman of fashion moving behavior of impulsive purchases, backgrounds and types of Muslim women who make purchases are impulsive, and lastly the shifting trend Muslim perpetrators impulse buying, being a Muslimah dropshipping way of the online sellers or other ways
