Abstract

This study focuses on the development of an attendance system based on the Global Positioning System (GPS) and Location-Based Service (LBS) using the Extreme Programming (XP) approach. This system helps institutions and companies enhance the accuracy and efficiency of employee attendance recording, particularly for mobile workers such as field employees or operational staff. The implementation of this system aims to overcome the limitations of conventional attendance methods, which are prone to manipulation, such as proxy attendance or multiple fingerprint recognition usage, as well as difficulties in accessing attendance data for auditing and performance evaluation purposes. GPS technology determines the user's real-time location, while LBS enhances the accuracy and reliability of location data. This study chooses the XP methodology due to its flexibility and adaptability to changing requirements during development. Testing results indicate the system achieves a 91.4% success rate in recording attendance with accurate location validation. The system is compatible with various devices and operational conditions, offering high flexibility in its implementation. However, challenges remain regarding external factors such as geographical conditions, weather, and device quality, which may affect location accuracy. Overall, this system offers a transparent, accurate, and efficient attendance solution.

Abstract

This study analyzes the factors influencing the adoption of the No Thanks application in Indonesia to support the BDS movement. The research aims to understand how technology aids social movements, particularly in advocating Palestinian rights. Using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), this study employs qualitative and quantitative methods, including hypothesis testing, statistical analysis, validity, and reliability tests. A survey was conducted on 108 respondents, primarily female (60.2%), aged 17-25 years (98.1%), students (92.6%), with monthly expenses ranging from Rp 100,000 to Rp 300,000 (40.7%), and mostly residing in West Java (69.4%). The findings reveal significant relationships among research variables. Social Awareness, Social Norms, Value Compatibility, Technology Self-Efficacy, Information Availability, and application features influence Perceived Usefulness (PU) and Perceived Ease of Use (PEOU), which subsequently affect Attitude (A) and Behavioral Intention (BI). The study concludes that intuitive interface design, accessible information, and social relevance are key to enhancing adoption and strengthening the role of technology in social movements.

Abstract

The increase in Single Tuition Fee (UKT) has become increasingly concerning for many prospective students and parents in Indonesia. The significant rise in UKT has led many prospective students to decide not to pursue higher education, resulting in a decline in college enrollment interest. This study aims to analyze the impact of the UKT increase on the declining interest in higher education among prospective students using the Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) algorithm in Machine Learning. Based on sentiment data from YouTube and Instagram regarding the UKT increase issue, the LSTM model is implemented to predict college enrollment interest based on changes in UKT. The results of this study indicate a significant correlation between the UKT increase and the decline in new student enrollment. The Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) algorithm model effectively predicts the impact of tuition fee increases on prospective students' interest in higher education. This is supported by an accuracy of 84%, showcasing the model's ability to recognize historical patterns in the data used optimally.

Abstract

This study analyses Service Dominant Logic (SDL) in the context of services at Angkasa Pura Adi Soemarmo Airport by comparing human-based and Chatbot-based communication. The urgency of this research stems from the increasing adoption of digital technologies such as Chatbots in information service, which potentially shifts the dynamics of interaction and influences passenger satisfaction. A mismatch between customer expectations and service experience—whether delivered by humans or Chatbots—may impact airport business processes, including operational efficiency, time management, and customer loyalty. This research employs a quantitative method with a population of airport passengers from 2016 to 2023 and a sample of 100 respondents selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive statistics and Chi-square tests via SPSS. The results show that human communication scored highest in the value co-creation dimension with 1754 points, while Chatbots performed best in the service exchange dimension with 865 points. The Chi-square test indicates a significant relationship between the two types of communication (p < 0.05). These findings suggest that strategic integration of human and Chatbot communication is essential to enhance passenger satisfaction and optimize service efficiency in the air transport sector.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital banking technology requires improvements in service quality to remain competitive in the financial industry. Seabank Indonesia is one of the widely used digital banking applications, making sentiment analysis of user reviews an essential aspect of understanding their perceptions of the provided services. This study evaluates user sentiment toward the Seabank application by implementing the Naïve Bayes algorithm to optimize service quality. The research data was obtained through a web scraping process from the Google Play Store, totalling 1,000 reviews. The Knowledge Discovery in Databases (KDD) approach was applied in the analysis, encompassing preprocessing stages such as cleaning, casefolding, tokenization, stopword removal, stemming, and Term Frequency-Inverse Document Frequency (TF-IDF) representation. The classification model was built by splitting the dataset into 70% training and 30% test data. The evaluation results indicate that the developed model achieved an accuracy of 88%, with a precision of 95%, recall of 87%, and F1-score of 91%. An analysis of all reviews revealed that 70.5% were positive, while 29.5% were negative. These findings demonstrate that the Naïve Bayes algorithm is effective in analyzing user sentiment and provides valuable insights for developers to enhance the quality of Seabank Indonesia’s services.

Abstract

The primary issue addressed in this research is the inability of the desktop-based warehouse management system used by PT XYZ to handle the complexity of modern logistics operations. This limitation leads to data inaccuracies, processing errors, lack of integration, limited accessibility, and inefficiencies that increase operational costs. Consequently, this study aims to develop a web-based warehouse management system using the Laravel framework and an Agile Development approach. The research adopts the Agile Development methodology, facilitating iterative development with continuous user feedback. The development process includes requirements analysis, system design, implementation, and testing. MariaDB is utilized as the database for inventory data storage, while Laravel handles backend logic. The interface is built with a combination of Blade Template and JavaScript, ensuring an intuitive user experience. As a result, developing a web-based warehouse system using Laravel and Agile Development was successfully carried out with features that support real-time warehouse operations, such as stock monitoring, recording incoming and outgoing goods, and automating invoicing. This system improves operational efficiency and reduces inventory recording errors by automating processes previously done manually.

Abstract

The Pet Care website prototype was developed using the Design Thinking method, selected for its user-centered approach increating innovative and effective solutions. The design process included stages of empathizing with users to understand theirneeds, defining problems, generating ideas, prototyping, and testing. The website is designed to facilitate easier access to petcare services while delivering a user-friendly and engaging experience. The results show an improvement in interaction qualityand ease of access to both information and services. Usability testing indicated that 94.6% of UI/UX elements functionedeffectively and met user expectations.

Abstract

The development of technology has made online shopping increasingly popular in Indonesia. Shopee, as one of the largest online shopping platforms, continues to seek ways to attract buyers using sales promotion and live streaming. This study analyzes the effectiveness of these strategies through a case study of the Febtatto brand, using the Stimulus-Organism-Response (SOR) model to understand the psychological mechanisms behind impulse buying behavior. Using a quantitative approach, data was collected from 100 Febtatto customers on Shopee through an online survey and analyzed using PLS-SEM technique. Results show that sales promotion (β = 0.39) and live streaming (β = 0.312) significantly influence impulse buying (p < 0.05). Live streaming proves to be a stronger stimulus in driving impulse buying responses compared to sales promotion. These findings provide valuable insights for businesses in optimizing digital marketing strategies, particularly in integrating interactive elements such as live streaming with sales promotion to increase sales effectiveness.

Abstract

This study aims to design a user-based web dashboard by applying the Design Thinking methodology to improve data management in organizations. In the digital era, effective data management is crucial for supporting informed decision-making. The Design Thinking method involves five stages: Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test, which focus on understanding user needs. Through interviews and observations, specific user needs were identified, creating a clear problem statement. Innovative ideas were then collected, and a dashboard prototype was developed using Figma. Testing was carried out to assess the effectiveness of the resulting solution. The results indicate that the designed dashboard can improve the ease of use and efficiency in data management. 80% of respondents felt that features such as graphs, tables, and bubble maps helped in data analysis, but some users had difficulty navigating and understanding these features. Therefore, this study recommends further development, such as adding user guides and interactive tutorials, to make the dashboard more user-friendly and relevant to user needs.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a credit card transaction fraud detection model using machine learning approaches, namely Logistic Regression, Random Forest, and Gradient Boosting Classifier. The dataset used is sourced from real credit card transactions with a fraud proportion of 0.17%, which reflects the problem of class imbalance. To overcome this, the Synthetic Minority Over-sampling Technique (SMOTE) and feature transformation using Principal Component Analysis (PCA) were applied. The evaluation was carried out using accuracy, precision, recall, F1-score, and ROC-AUC metrics. The results show that Random Forest and Gradient Boosting Classifier produced the best performance with near-perfect accuracy and ROC-AUC values (ROC-AUC > 0.999), while Logistic Regression gave very good results but slightly below the other two models. However, the near-perfect ROC-AUC value may indicate potential overfitting, requiring further validation on different datasets. Unlike previous studies that only used one algorithm, this study compared three models simultaneously and integrated SMOTE and PCA to improve detection performance. The practical implication of this study is that the proposed model can be implemented in digital financial systems to assist banking institutions in detecting fraud in real time and reducing potential financial losses.
