Abstract

Growth monitoring for stunted children at community health posts often faces practical barriers, including manual recording, delayed reporting, and inconsistent follow-up. Internet-based applications may help address these problems, but local evidence on their use in stunted children remains limited. This study aimed to assess the use of an Internet-based application for monitoring the nutritional status of stunted children at community health posts in Gorontalo Province. A mixed methods design with an explanatory sequential approach was used. The quantitative component used a quasi-experimental pre-post design with two groups of participants. Twenty stunted children from posyandu were assigned to an intervention group (n=10) receiving application-based monitoring and a control group (n=10) receiving conventional monitoring. The measurements were conducted in October-November 2025. The qualitative component involved five respondents through in-depth interviews. As a preliminary study, the findings indicate that application use was associated with a difference in HAZ change patterns between groups (delta HAZ: +0.100 vs −0.175; p=0.040; Cohen’s d=0.99). These findings are hypothesis-generating and require confirmation in larger randomized studies. Interviews indicated that the application was generally well accepted, although its use was still influenced by the condition of anthropometric equipment, cadres’ skills, internet costs, and follow-up from health services. All measurements and data entry were performed independently by cadres without researcher intervention, reflecting real-world use conditions; this also represents a limitation as there was no external validation of input accuracy.

Abstract

The infant period is a phase of rapid growth that requires optimal nutritional intake, with breast milk serving as the best source of nutrition. Successful breastfeeding practices, particularly breastfeeding frequency and duration, are considered important factors in supporting adequate nutritional intake and infant weight gain. This study aimed to analyze the association between breastfeeding frequency and duration and infant weight gain in the working area of Pabbentengan Public Health Center, Gowa Regency. This quantitative study employed a cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 30 infants selected using a total sampling technique in the working area of Pabbentengan Public Health Center in 2025. Data were collected using questionnaires to assess breastfeeding frequency and duration, as well as observation sheets based on the Maternal and Child Health Handbook (KIA Book) to record infant weight gain. Data were analyzed using univariate and bivariate analyses with the One-Way ANOVA test. Most infants were female (53.3%) and aged 1 month (36.7%). The average infant weight gain was 0.69 kg. The majority of infants had a breastfeeding frequency of fewer than 8 times per day (63.3%) and a breastfeeding duration of 10–15 minutes (63.3%). The One-Way ANOVA test showed that there was no significant association between breastfeeding frequency and infant weight gain (p = 0.123), nor between breastfeeding duration and infant weight gain (p = 0.053). Breastfeeding frequency and duration were not significantly associated with infant weight gain in the working area of Pabbentengan Public Health Center.

Abstract

The rate of transmission of infectious diseases from mother to child such as HIV, Syphilis and Hepatitis B in Indonesia is still high. This group of infections is the main threat of congenital infections during pregnancy which can cause abnormalities in the fetus. In 2016, the World Health Organization (WHO) created a strategy program to prevent the transmission of infectious diseases from mother to child, known as Triple Elimination. Several factors that influence triple elimination examinations are the knowledge and attitudes of pregnant women in carrying out triple elimination examinations. research is to determine the relationship between knowledge and attitudes of pregnant women regarding triple elimination examinations at the Arjowinangun Community Health Center, Malang City. The research method is correlational analysis with a cross-sectional approach. The population in this study is the average number of pregnant women who visited ANC in January-March 2024, namely 90 pregnant women. Samples were taken using Consecutive sampling totaling 36. The research instrument used a questionnaire. Primary data collection. The statistical test uses the Spearmen Rank with a p-value < (0.05), meaning that there is a relationship between the knowledge and attitudes of pregnant women and the Triple Elimination examination. The results of this research showed that the knowledge variable had a p-value < 0.001, the attitude variable had a p-value < 0.001. There is a relationship between the knowledge and attitudes of pregnant women and the Triple Elimination examination in the working area of the Arjowinangun Community Health Center, Malang City.

Abstract

Cervical cancer is one of the leading causes of female mortality that can be prevented through early detection using the Visual Inspection with Acetic Acid (VIA) method. This study aims to analyze the factors associated with VIA screening among women of reproductive age in the working area of the Muara Rupit Community Health Center in 2026. This study employed a cross-sectional design with a sample size of 371 women of reproductive age, aged between 30 and 50 years. Data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed univariately, bivariately using the Chi-Square test, and multivariately using multiple logistic regression. The bivariate analysis results indicated that knowledge (p-value = 0.033), attitude (p-value < 0.001), healthcare access (p-value < 0.001), husband's support (p-value < 0.001), and the role of healthcare workers (p-value < 0.001) were significantly associated with VIA screening among women of reproductive age. Healthcare access was the most dominant factor associated with VIA screening, with an Adjusted Odds Ratio (AOR) of 2.855 (95% CI: 1.683–4.844; p < 0.001). Knowledge, attitude, healthcare access, husband's support, and the role of healthcare workers were associated with VIA screening, with healthcare access being the most dominant factor. Therefore, efforts are required to improve healthcare access by ensuring ease of reach, facility availability, cost affordability, and transportation convenience to increase VIA screening coverage among women of reproductive age.

Abstract

The SIGIZIKESGA website is an information system that supports the management of nutrition and maternal-child health data as a basis for health program planning. Compliance of health workers in reporting data entry is essential to ensure accurate and timely data. Objective of this study to analyze the compliance of health workers in reporting data entry on the SIGIZIKESGA website in North Musi Rawas Regency in 2026. This study employed an analytical cross-sectional design involving 64 health workers selected through total sampling. Data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed using the Chi-Square test and multiple logistic regression. The findings showed that knowledge (p=0.000; OR=7.70), attitude (p=0.040; OR=4.11), supervisor support (p=0.020; OR=5.47), and workload (p=0.000; OR=11.88) were significantly associated with workers' compliance. Meanwhile, age, education level, length of service, training, and facilities and infrastructure were not significantly associated with compliance. Multivariate analysis revealed that knowledge was the most dominant factor influencing compliance, with a probability of 20%. Improving health workers' knowledge plays a crucial role in enhancing compliance with reporting data entry on the SIGIZIKESGA website.
